Home has a full-size swimming pool with waterfall. 4 air conditioned bedrooms, 3.5 baths, dining room, living room, kitchen, and laundry room. Two of the bedrooms are spacious master suites with private baths and entries. All bedrooms have queen beds; there is also a queen sofa-futon bed, and a single bed. Master suites have an adjoining deck leading to the parking area and a peek-a-boo ocean view. The other two bedrooms share a full bath, and one room has its own private half bath. The living room has a view of the pool and tropical gardens, as does the formal dining room, and the kitchen has a peek-a-boo ocean view. The interior of this home has beautiful wood and beam cathedral ceilings with skylights and ceiling fans in all rooms. Natural bamboo wood flooring graces the living room, dining room, and hallway of the home. The kitchen is tiled. Wall to wall carpeting is throughout the rest of the home. The home comes fully furnished and equipped with a gas BBQ, towels (+beach towels), linens, pots, pans, dishes, etc., cable T.V.; FREE cable wireless Internet connection for your laptop. On premises parking for 4 cars, electronic gate, and keyless entry to the home. This Hawaiian vacation retreat is located across from miles of gorgeous sandy beach, which is a popular well known spot for wind surfing, and is children and elderly friendly. Accommodates 8 people.

MAUI'S OHUKAI BEACH GUEST HOUSE - HOUSE RULES & AGREEMENT: HOUSE RULES: a. Quiet hours shall be maintained from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. during which time noise in the home shall not be loud enough to disturb anyone on a neighboring property. b. Pool hours are from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. c. No parties or group gatherings other than registered guests shall occur and shall not be loud enough to disturb neighbors. d. Amplified sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries of the home is prohibited. e. Vehicles shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area and shall not be parked on the street. f. No smoking is allowed within the confines of the home at any time. g. Air conditioning units and fans must be turned off prior to leaving the home. h. Please keep all open food in refrigerator or in sealed containers...this prevents attracting bugs. i. Please DO NOT take our bath towels to the beach, we have provided beach towels for your use. j. Please DO NOT use our towels to remove makeup, tissues are provided for your use. k. Dishes, glasses, pans, towels, or furnishings of any kind are NOT to be removed from the home. l. Laundry room and hallway are common areas. Caretakers and guests have use of washing machine and clothes dryer: If Guest(s) leave laundry in the washing machine or dryer for more than an hour after it has finished, Caretakers may remove all items left in either machine to the laundry room basket where it can be collected by Guest(s). Caretakers will take care not to use the laundry room when guests are in the home. Interior door from house to hallway can be locked off if guests so desire. m. Due to regulations we do not provide any food items including condiments nor do we provide fuel for BBQ and tiki torches. We do start you off with toilet paper, paper towel, hand and bath soap, AGREEMENT: Use of Home and Security of Home: Maximum occupancy is 8 persons. Occupants agree to comply with the Owners and/or Managers instructions and House Rules listed above and in this agreement, and/or posted on premises. Home may not be used as a place for commerce. Occupants must adhere to a 9 p.m. - 8 a.m. quiet time. No parties or group gatherings other than registered guests shall occur. Guest/Cardholder is asked to examine the Home UPON ARRIVAL and to immediately report any and all damage(s) observed to Maui’s Ohukai Beach Guest House owner or manager. Guest is responsible for the security of the Home and its contents, and any personal property of guests during the stay. When Home is unoccupied, doors must be locked and the outside light left on. Key codes are changed between guest visits for the security of the Home and the guests. Guest must leave the Home in clean and good condition. Risks and Safety: 1) Swimming Pool. The pool is serviced by an independent, professional maintenance company according to County Health Code requirements. Guests must abide by the rules posted near the pool and keep the gate closed at all times. Children are NOT allowed in the pool or pool area at any time without adult supervision. Guests/Cardholder agrees to hold harmless Owner and/or Manager for any injury resulting from the use of the pool. Use of the pool is at occupant’s and guest(s)’ own risk. There are no lifeguards on duty. Pool hours are from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. 2) Fire Safety. No candles or open fires inside or outside the Home, except in approved outside Tiki torches. Fire officials may ban open flames during extreme dry spells. When that occurs, no fires of any kind are permitted. Guests/Cardholder is to notify manager or owner immediately after calling 911 in the event of fire in the home or grounds. 3) Emergency evacuations. Guests/Cardholder understands that there are risks inherent to persons and property located adjacent to the ocean, including the possibility of being injured, or killed, and/or damage done to personal property by: Tsunami (tidal wave); hurricane; coconuts and palm fronds falling from trees. Guest(s) must obey the Tsunami warning sirens and local emergency official's orders to evacuate in the event of a Tsunami or Hurricane. Guests/Cardholder is to notify manager or owner at 1-800-296-4821 of any damage done to the property or its contents. The County of Maui tests the tsunami sirens on the first day of each month at or about noon. Should the tsunami sirens go off at any other time this is your signal to evacuate immediately to higher ground inland. Children in and/or near the ocean must be supervised by an adult at all times. 4) Security and Damages. A security deposit in the form of a signed credit card authorization (which would not be charged to your card, except in the event of damage to the property or its contents) or, an insurance policy is to be purchased (by Cardholder) from our VRBO website in the amount of $49 which is included in the quoted amount when signing this agreement. Guests/Cardholders are responsible for any and all damage they may cause during their stay or items that are missing. Liability is not limited to the above security deposit insurance policy. If damage is caused by any occupant in the home which exceeds the amount of the security deposit/insurance policy, cardholder agrees that they are responsible to pay the full cost of repair or replacement of the damaged items. 5) Unauthorized Use and Eviction. Guest(s) are subject to immediate eviction and removal from the Home and Property if Guest(s) of invitees of Guest(s) allow any of the following: a. Guest(s)/Cardholder brings, or allows to be brought into the Home or onto the property any illegal substances; b. Commit, or allow to be committed, any illegal acts while in the Home or on the property; c. Smoking in the Home at any time; d. Guests/Cardholder has sublet, or assigned this Reservation. The entire amount paid will be forfeited and immediate eviction will occur. e. The number of occupants exceeds the number of contracted guests; f. Complaints of noise, loud music, foul language, fighting, or otherwise disturbing the peace of the neighbors are reported. g. There are tents, campers or motor homes placed on the property; 6. Special Charges. Occupant’s security deposit insurance will be charged if any of the following conditions occur: a. If smoking has occurred in the Home, there will be an additional $200 cleaning fee. b. If pets have been brought into the Home without prior written permission, there will be an additional $200 pet fee. Only “certified service” animals are allowed with prior authorization from owner. c. If Home requires extra cleaning due to filth or over-use of either the Home or the pool, a $30 per hour charge (1 hour minimum) will occur for the extra cleaning. d. If individuals not registered have stayed overnight at the Home/Property without prior written approval, there will be a $200 fee per person per day charged. e. If Occupant loses, or leaves in a rental car, the remote gate opener to the property, there will be a $60 remote replacement charge. f. If Occupant incurs long-distance charges, cable, or Internet special services, there will be $30 service fee in addition to the cost of the calls made, or pay per view watched, and/or any other charges made. g. If Occupant or Guest notifies owner or manager of a lost or left behind item at the Home, and our staff finds that item, manager will mail that item to the Guest, after a $5 handling fee plus the cost of shipping the item has been paid. Owner/manager does not accept responsibility for any lost or stolen items. 7) Maintenance and Repair. Maui’s Ohukai Beach Guest House Property Owner/manager strives to maintain the Home in the finest condition possible. As such, it is the Guest’s (Occupant of Premise) responsibility to immediately notify owner/manager of any and all difficulties that they incur during their stay so that appropriate repairs/replacements can be scheduled and performed. Owner/manager will make every effort to repair/replace any item that is not working, but does not guarantee that the appropriate repair and/or replacement will be performed during their stay, or in a timely manner due to circumstances beyond our control. 8) Items which do not warrant any refund of rental moneys or portions thereof include the following: a. Hot tubs, and/or pools out of order. b. Electronic entertainment including cable, TV’s, DVD’s, radios and other recreational devices that breakdown during the guest’s stay. c. Power Outages. d. Adverse road conditions or weather conditions. e. Construction taking place in area. f. Home or Property that is not decorated, furnished, equipped and/or otherwise accommodated to suit the Occupant/Guest’s taste. 9) Hold Harmless. All Occupants/Guests use the Property/Home at their own risk. Occupants agree to release the Property Owner, Manager/Caretaker, County of Maui, from all liability and to indemnify, defend and hold Owner, Manager/Caretaker, and County of Maui harmless from all liability, claims and causes of actions whatsoever and from all damages to Occupant’s family, licensees, guests, invitees, and/or other persons or property occupying or utilizing the Premises during the term hereof which occur or arise as a result of the Occupant’s use or occupancy of the Home or Premises. Occupants further agree to indemnify Owner, Manager/Caretaker, County of Maui for any damages claimed, alleged or caused to Occupants or third parties by Occupant’s use or occupancy or the use of Occupant’s family, licensees, invitees, guests and/or third parties. By endorsing this Agreement, Occupant of Premise (Cardholder), Guest(s) and/or Invitee(s) hereby forever hold harmless and indemnify Maui’s Ohukai Beach Guest House and its Property Owners, Manager/Caretaker, and the County of Maui from any liability/responsibility arising therefore. 10) Intent of Parties. The parties to this agreement intend that the premises are to be utilized for temporary vacation occupancy and this agreement shall not substitute or create a Landlord/Tenant relationship and the parties hereby waive any such relationship should it be deemed to apply. Acceptance of this Agreement constitutes a binding contract, the same as if it was signed by you in person. By accepting this agreement you are acknowledging the above information is correct and that you agree to comply with the terms of this agreement, and hereby accept the Terms and Conditions of this Agreement and accept responsibility of advising other Occupants/guests and/or third parties (on the Premises) of the information and responsibilities herein. Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
Our lovely gated, tropical, Hawaiian vacation rental is located in KIHEI...just steps from miles of sandy beach and the Pacific Ocean. Kihei town is conveniently located on the south-west coast of the island of Maui and it is a resort area that boast something for everyone, and is the fourth most popular destination spot in the United States. The Kihei coast consists of one beach after another and best of all...there is a beach right across the street from our vacation rental home 'Maui's Ohukai Beach Guest House' .Ma'alaea Harbor is within walking distance of our vacation rental home and is the embarkation point for many of the charter fishing boats, whale watching tours, and snorkel expeditions to the many different snorkeling spots around the island, including Molokini. Azeka Place is just a mile or so from Maui's Ohukai Beach Guest House and is Kihei's largest shopping center with dozens of shops, drug store, and restaurants. About 2 miles or so is the Pi'ilani Village Shopping Center where you can find such stores as Safeway (open 24 hours). Restaurants abound galore in Kihei ranging from fast food to moderately priced chains to upscale dining specializing in Hawaiian and Pacific Rim cuisine. There is an excellent golf course in Kihei, baseball park, tennis courts, skating park, basketball courts, and the myriad of water sports available including kite surfing, windsurfing, sail boarding, surfing, boogie boarding, canoeing, etc. Night life in Kihei includes many dance clubs, sports bars, and karaoke bars. In Kihei, everyone can enjoy the sunshine, surf and sand that are the hallmarks of the area. It was in Kihei that Hawaiians once lived in scattered villages, fished the sea, and maintained fishponds for royalty. Kihei is where King Kamehameha I moored his war canoes during his conquest of Maui. Today, budget-minded visitors make Kihei their base to explore the beauty of Maui.
