The Bayhouse at Club Captiva is a couple’s retreat on Roosevelt Channel. The newly refurbished house features three King Size suites, each with a special view and its own magnificent bathroom for maximum privacy. The private boat dock with two lifts is steps away from the back door for all the fishing, kayaking, and boating you can handle! Tarpon fishers beware, there are many items here for the non-fishers to enjoy as well.
The Bayhouse is extraordinary with an OPEN concept living space beginning with the huge Great Room and its 70 inch television (for movie nights or for watching the game of the week). The great room has a massive U-shaped sectional sofa with plenty of seating for all and the room opens up, through a 20-ft sliding door, to your own private oasis, a screened-in 12ft by 40ft deck/porch overlooking your own boat dock with two lifts: one for up to a 28-ft and the second one for your “brother-in- law’s” boat up to 18-feet. This view of Roosevelt Channel is the best you will find anywhere on the island; it’s peaceful and filled with wildlife all year round so keep your binoculars handy.
The gourmet kitchen is “to die for” and joins the Great Room on the bay side of this beautiful house. The house was built as close to the water as the Captiva building codes will allow and you will definitely feel like you are one with the water when you gaze through the huge windows while sipping your morning coffee in the breakfast nook in this kitchen. True to our exacting Club Captiva standards, this house and this wonderful kitchen provide the finer details to make your stay extra comfortable and relaxing.
The spacious pantry with a second refrigerator is located between the kitchen and the open-concept, octagonal Dining Room. The large round dining table has seating for 10 people or more!!! This stunning table has a built-in Lazy Susan in the center to assist you when passing delectables and condiments between guests! There’s plenty of room for an additional table or two for even more guests (at small functions) in this dining area. This lovely dining space opens to the high-ceiling foyer where the funky island style artwork will put you in a Captiva vacation spirit right away.
The staircase in the foyer is a piece of artwork itself and leads to the second floor loft space. The loft has a massive “partners desk” and beautiful built-in cabinets for those of your group who “MUST” do some work! The wifi is located here (just in case you need to know).
The Master Suite is located beyond the loft and is larger than my first apartment! Honest! It has a King Size four poster bed and 46 inch Sony TV (so you can actually see it from the other side of the room) BUT the best part of the space is the double french doors which open out onto your private 300 square foot deck - half shade/half sun - and the same gorgeous view of the water and the dock as you have below off the great room/kitchen. The other end of the Master Suite features a beautiful closet and bathroom area. Check out the pictures, this area alone is definitely bigger than my first apartment! Careful, if you bring a suitcase (or two) full of island attire, you’ll need to shop until you drop to fill the grand closet of the Master Suite.
A whirlpool tub for two and a two headed shower complete the picture for you. Whichever couple opts for the Master Suite, charge them double!
The main floor bedrooms are located down the hallway from the foyer/dining area past the powder room and spacious laundry room with front loading capacity for the maid or OCD member in your party!!! Each King Suite has a large walk-in closet, LCD TV/DVD, and a full bathroom with double sinks and tub/showers. Bedroom two, the Caribbean Room, has French doors leading out to that extraordinary main floor deck and a view of the bay while bedroom three, the Black and White Bedroom, has a wonderful view of the beautifully landscaped private new pool!
The downstairs area of this house had a two car garage, another lovely deck and unfinished space with storage for boating and fishing equipment.
The grounds of the Bayhouse are private and include a gorgeous pool with lounge chairs for all three couples as well as a table and chairs for relaxing under the shade of a nine foot umbrella.

We had a wonderful time at this absolutely beautiful home. The accommodations are as pictured although they seem even more gorgeous in real life. Our teenage daughter and her friend really enjoyed the private pool. It was also nice that there were several beaches close by that we could drive to. We can't say enough about this wonderful home. It was very clean and well maintained. It was also a joy to get up each morning and watch the dolphins swim by the dock. We also saw many other types of wildlife during the day out on the channel. We would definitely like to visit here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

We had a fabulous time staying at this beautiful home. Accommodations are as pictured and described. We loved the private pool area and the quiet location.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Our family stayed in the Bay House this past Christmas. I highly recommend this property. It is perfect for adults getting together, and it is VERY spacious for six adults. The indoor entertaining space is perfect for any gathering and the outdoor screened-in area is excellent for reading, watching the wildlife, etc. The gourmet kitchen is very well-appointed for those that like to cook. Everything in the Bay House is immaculately maintained and the Property Manager is top notch. All of the available indoor and outdoor activities on Captiva and Sanibel Islands are close-by. Thank you again to everyone that takes care of this property for a GREAT week. We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
