My partners and I are thrilled to offer a second vacation home choice to new and returning guests, starting in February 2013. An extensive remodel and addition makes it perfect for groups and weddings, with approximately 4800 square feet of space. It sits on one acre, with 180 feet of frontage right on the Pacific Ocean. You will NOT find better beach access - your own PRIVATE concrete steps, right down to the sand! (It will take you about 20 seconds to go to the beach.) Our group of four couples enjoyed our stay very much! We had spectacular weather but even if the weather had not been so great, we would still have had a wonderful time in this home. We enjoyed 5 straight days of beautiful weather and gorgeous sunsets! Watching the sun set around the firepit was much enjoyed! We had hoped that there would have been two more couples able to join us and there certainly would have been more than enough room! The views were incredible! We saw whale spouts within hours of our arrival! We loved walking the beach and exploring the tide pools...special sights for us from Minnesota! There is absolutely nothing lacking in this home...the kitchen was a delight to use and we cooked all of our meals there including 3 meals of fish caught by the guys on their charter fishing experience. We enjoyed time at Cape Perpetua and times in Newport, especially the tour of the Rogue brewery and the Hatfield Marine Science Center where we got to shake hands with an octopus! Very comfortable beds. plenty of space, great for large groups! The theatre room was an added bonus though we did not have much time to use it! Felt like a very private location, yet convenient to so many places. Would recommend this place to anyone...I did not feel that the pictures adequately portrayed the spaciousness of the place, especially the kitchen. Brent was very responsive and prompt and wonderful to deal with. An ideal spot for several families to stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

A bunch of friends and I went for a birthday weekend and it was wonderful. The kitchen was my favorite part. We got to cook while looking out at the beautiful ocean and have our friends standing around the whole time. The location of the house is wonderful, set right on the beach just a few stairs away from the ocean. The hot tub was also a big hit with our group, set right outside the house overlooking the ocean. I can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Once a year my brothers and sisters, along with our spouses, set aside a weekend to take our 93 year old mother to the beach. The beach has always been an important element in our lives, especially our Mom's. Each year we continue the quest to find the perfect beach house for the perfect experience. I believe we have finally found it as this house has everything. Easy access to the beach, panoramic windows from one end of the house to the other, a fire pit for smores roasting, enough bedrooms and bathrooms for all, a theater room for movie viewing, enough room to move around with several activities going on at once as well as the most amazing set up for cooking and eating (our shared passion). There were plenty of dishwashers, refrigerators, washer/dryers to make everything flow. The televisions and the sound system throughout the house was amazing. The finishes that dorned the inside of the house are high quality with so many special touches. And, yes, the beds are the best with everyone testifying of their amazing comfort. Everything has been thought of. Once we arrived we didn't care if we left at all. We hated to leave and all voted to make this our yearly destination. Brent and his team were absolutely wonderful to work with and so accommodating. Can't wait until we return! My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed this house and its location right on the beach. We loved sitting in the hot tub and watching the sun set. There are no close neighbors so we never had to worry that we were laughing too loud! We enjoyed the movie room as well as the living room and indoor fireplace. And, everyone agreed, the beds were very comfortable!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our stay was wonderful. The house was nicely furnished, well-appointed and immaculate. We had everything we needed to cook in or grill out. The views from the living areas, oceanfront bedrooms, deck and hot tub are spectacular. The beach is only a short walk down the drive. We walked the beach each day and explored the tide pools, full of anemones and starfish. We had a fire on the beach on our last night. The house is a short hop from all sorts of attractions in Newport, Depoe Bay and Yachats, and there are lots of nearby restaurants with great seafood. Our only complaint was that our stay wasn't long enough.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Just to clarify for those reading this review; This guest mentions walking down the driveway to the beach, which was accurate at the time of the stay. As part of our remodel, we are creating concrete steps right down to the sand from the oceanfront patio. So future guests will access the beach from the oceanfront side of the house.

This house was so comfortable in every way with a spectacular view from most of the house. It has huge windows all across the front and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. The beach is just a short walk away. We didn't want to leave! I was lucky enough to find it on VRBO right after the owner bought it and like the last reviewer said, I really can't imagine what they would change to make it better. The fire pit he talks about on the deck is a great idea though because even though you can walk just down to the beach for a bon fire, it would be nicer to stay at the house and enjoy the evening from the deck. From this location it's a short drive up to Newport for groceries, seafood fresh off the boat or anything you need or right down to Waldport if you want to shop a smaller town. We went south to Florence for horseback riding and sand surfing and up to Newport for the Aquarium and Lighthouse etc...but the best beach was right out in front of the house and our son was in it everyday! If you watch the tides you can go out and see the most amazing starfish on the rocks just south towards Seal Rock beach. The long driveway would be a perfect place for very young kids to ride thier bikes. The owner was super responsive and a pleasure to work with. We would love to rent this house again next summer!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This house gets 5 stars on every category. The location is ideal, with fantastic views from every room. It was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Supplies like towels, dishes, pots/pans, appliances, pillows, etc. were plentiful and in good shape. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms even had shampoos and lotions if you forgot your own. There was easy access to the beach and since the house is halfway between Newport and Waldport, grocery stores and restaurants were close by. The hot tub is a nice touch, and also very clean. The view of the beach is better than any TV program and there were whales cavorting right behind the house every day! A lot of thought went in to preparing this house for guests, and it showed. We had a fabulous week and would stay here again with no hesitation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This home is to be renovated and improved. How they can improve this home we don"t know it was absolutely fabulous. The livingroom and dining area is all windows with impressive views of the beach. Also impressive tv to view in living room and masterbedroom. Short walk to beach with nice sandy area and tide pools for exploring. Side deck is out of wind for soaking up sun on windy days. Comforable beds, excellent equipped kitchen. Our only thought was why the hot tub cover opens towards the windows blocking the oceanview. Close to Newport for major shopping. Alot of storage area for food, clothes and ect. We traveled 900 miles to spend a week here with 4 adults and 4 boys. We are all ready to come back to this wonderful home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: My business partner, Byron, and I grew up in Montana together. As life progressed, I moved to Oregon and Byron to Colorado. We started our families and businesses in separate states, but got in the habit of scheduling regular time together at the Oregon coast....we were hooked. Byron, Mike (Byron's business partner) and I have now partnered on 2 oceanfront homes on the central Oregon coast. Byron and Mike are builders by trade, and their skill is evident in our 2 homes. We have all logged thousands (yes, thousands!) of hours on these homes. From design and architecture, to performing almost every bit of labor, we have invested our time, skill, and resources in these 2 homes. Our mission has been to create the 'wow' factor when guests open that front door, and to provide everything they could need in a home.
