Everything about this loft was perfect for us. We shared the loft with another couple and had plenty of space. It was so much better than a hotel. Flipped for the master and got the spare bedroom which had a soft comfortable pillowtop so we were very pleased. The location couldn't have been any better. Walking distance to just about everything. If you don't like to walk, you can easily get to public transportation. There was a grocery outlet a block over. Not a large selection but provided some necessities. The kitchen was wonderful and having a washer and dryer came in handy. We rented a car for a trip up the coast and the rental company was close by. Just walked over to pick up the car. Parking was free and the lot had convenient access to the loft. The bldg was secure and everywhere we went people were friendly. John was very helpful and answered all our questions about the reservation process. Would recommend this loft to friends/family and if we return to San Diego will certainly reserve it again. For restaurants...Cafe 21 and Richard Walker's for breakfast. The Fish Market had great seafood and Gaslamp Strip Club (eatery) has reasonable and delicious steaks that you cook yourself. Old Town Mexican Cafe for the real thing and be sure to get the cheese dip. If you go to La Jolla don't miss George's at the Cove and eat on the Upper Terrace. Great food and view.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

The condo was everything the pictures present. It was a 5-10 walk to everywhere downtown. And if something was further, the trolley was just a few blocks away! The condo had a little wear and tear, but nothing significant. This place was a much better alternative (and comparable in price) to a hotel.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: We did include antiques and vintage pieces in the decor. These items in my opinion, add charm and character to the space. Although not brand new, the unit has just been renovated and all the furnishings, appliances, fixtures and trimmings are in fine repair. If you want your curtains to match the bedspread, you might be more comfortable in a hotel.

We had a great stay at this loft. The space was very comfortable, clean and the amenities were top notch. The location is perfect for Petco, Convention Center, walking to the Marina, Gaslamp restaurants and city nightlife. We had fun exploring the city and the space provided easy access for all activities both for walking or taking the car. Loved the open floor plan and the city skyline views. Will return to this location and would recommend to friends.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Recently my partner and I stayed at the Fahrenheit and I must admit that I was apprehensive about staying in downtown San Diego. However, I started to change my mind the minute that I walked into the place. It felt as though the world did not matter because the place made me feel as though I was home. I travel quite a bit for business and want to make sure that my vacation times allow me to relax. This place did just that. It was well-appointed, well-located and super quiet. I guess that the later goes to show you that concrete walls and dual pane windows really deaden the noises of the city. By the end of the say, I have to say that the windows and patio door were open so that we could enjoy wine on the patio, breezes from the ocean and energy of the city. In addition, we got to enjoy so much good food. If you love city living then you will love this place. And if you don’t love the city living then you will love this place. Bottom line is that by the end of our visit I was a convert.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

I swear it made me look thinner! So much to say. First, the VrBO experience was first rate. Everything was automated and super easy. The owner John answered my questions within moments of contacting him. And the property was exactly as expected. Easy parking in the best downtown location imaginable. Once we parked, we almost never used the car except to go to the beach, zoo and Tiajuana. We coud have used the Trolly to get to all those places, so next time we won't even rent a car. The loft is a corner unit with great views and lively vibe. Kind of W Hotel meets Barney's of New York. Cool, casual and decidedly upscale. All of the bars and restaurants surrounding the complex gave us a myriad of choices. I especially liked Basic for drinks and pizza and salads, and it is right across the street. So many choices. The convention center and baseball stadium bring a lot of energy to the neighborhood but it was surprisingly quiet in the mornings. Perfect for chillaxing after the perfect night out. We want to make this a perennial event!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks Mary, sounds like you had a great time! All my best.
