My husband and I have done a lot of international travel. We have seen paradise in many places (lucky us!) but El Campo del Mar by far our favorite destination. The ocean view, the gourmet kitchen, the layout of the villa, the PRIVATE POOL, oy! This wonderful oasis is perfectly located between 2 fun destinations which allow you a quiet place to relax between the party of Puerto Vallarta and the adventure of Mismaloya. The villa is perfect for 4 people and a grand stay for 2. I would HIGHLY recommend El Campo del Mar to anyone looking for some R&R. A true vacation in a wonderful destination.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

My fiance and me traveled to Puerto Vallarta for fun in the sun. The villa was cool because the ocean was so close and we could snorkle. And every nite we went to party on the Malicon. So nice and the way to go. Just wish there was a small store closer to the villa. But hey, it's simple. You gotta plan for it. Good Day, First, I would like to thank Sandy and Jay for accepting our request to stay in their second home. From my husband's and my premier introduction to Tony, the taxi driver, at the airport, to the final closing of your villa's front door of history, every minute of our stay was a true joy. With that said, your suggestions for my interests were perfect! We took the time to walk through the Romantic Zone; a shining example of history. Also, Kyle and I rented a car and traveled outside of the city. What a perfect adventure to meet and chat with locals who welcomed us with arms wide open. I was invited to a tea party by 3 young girls! Kyle is a Pices, so both the ocean and rivers were angelic moments for him. We traveled up north, where the famous movie was filmed. The extremely large rocks with fresh water sliding through them were delicious. The kids jumping into the deep areas were quite a show! Lastly, the surprise that my husband gave me was priceless. A candle lit dinner on the patio, flowers and best of all, prepared by a professional chef. I will cherish that evening forever. We look forward to our visit in 2013! My students will be hearing quite a bit about stunning Puerto Vallarta. My wife and I along with another couple spent 5 incredible days at El Campo Del Mar earlier this year....what an incredible experience! For this trip, we left our children with the grandparents at home, and took an adults only trip. All we were looking for was pure relaxation and good times. We got exactly that! This villa is perfect for two couples. Two large bedrooms, each with their own separate bathrooms. The inside of the villa is newly remodeled, but the decor stays true to the native Mexican culture. There's a large living room and dining room, plus a kitchen with everything you need. We loved the pass through from the kitchen out to the patio....perfect for cocktail making and appetizers! But let's get to the most important part! The patio...your own private pool...and oh baby...the view! The patio is a great size, offering both areas to relax on a lounge chair in the sun or cool off in the shade. The pool has an "infinity" look to it, as when you are in the pool looking out at the ocean....all you see is the Bay of Banderas. It is breathtaking. If there's a better view in P.V...I have not found it. You have the perfect view of sunsets every evening and get ready for the fireworks over the bay each night. The staff at the complex is very friendly and helpful. You are a few minute bus/cab ride into town and you can take a quick 5 minute walk right down to the beach. It's all here! If you're looking to spend your vacation living amongst the tourists and partiers at the resorts...this isn't for you. But if you want to get away and relax in luxury...but still have the town very close to go to when you choose...you've found your next vacation spot. My only unanswered question is....When am I going back?!?!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

I was gifted the pleasure of spending 2 weeks at Casa del Mar #303. I absolutely loved it! The location was breathtaking! To have your OWN pool. Ahhhh, heaven. Also, I was close to the restaurants and shops of the luxurious Garza Blanca Resort and a 15 minute cab or bus ride to the malecon which is full of shops, bars and restaurants! The villa itself is not beachfront, but you are able to walk less than 5 minutes away to a lovely white sanded beach and blue water. The patio with sliding doors right at the pool, overlooking Banderas Bay and mountains!! It was such a treat at night to get a clear show of the fireworks! And the villa itself was like a second home. How they decorated it was simply comfortable the minute I walked through the doors. The bed was difficult to part with each morning!!! Jay and Sandy Carpenter were so accommodating. I had questions to ask before I made my reservation and they had incredible and kind patience. I have another 2 week reservation lined up for 2013 and cannot wait!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

About the owner: We live in the Pacific Northwest and enjoy a change in season from our local winters. The tropical climate, wonderful warm people, diverse activities of Puerto Vallarta and surrounding areas, warm waters of the Pacific Ocean and Banderas Bay and add Garza Blanca...well, Sandy and I have found our slice of paradise.

Undoubtedly the best view of the bay, we love dining on the patio enjoying fresh fish and shrimp on the grill lingering until dark to watch the nightly fireworks. We enjoy a cup of coffee on the terrace observing the many varieties of birds in the river valley jungle. Whale watching in season and the passing dolphins delight our guests as they watch the cruise ships enter the harbor from the ocean through the bay and view the smaller boats passing from the harbor south to the beaches of Mismaloya and Yelapa.
