Enjoy spectacular waterfront views from this lovely and spacious, clean waterfront home. Close to town and beaches! Are you looking for a beautiful place for an extended vacation or for a place to live for several months?
This home has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There is central air conditioning and a full-size refrigerator, stove, washer, dryer, microwave and dishwasher.
We are offering this home unfurnished by the month with a 6 month or longer lease. Please e-mail for details. It is not available for weekly rentals.
The living room is spacious and comfortable. It features a wood cathedral ceiling with ceiling fan, an alcove with bay windows and 2 sliders that open to a fabulous deck. The picture windows and sliders offer awesome views.
There are great views from the dining area too.
There is a 2nd living room/den on the walk-out level.
This home also has an attached garage.
We call it 'The Blue Heron House'. Its huge deck spans its width. This is a great place from which to watch a variety of boats and cabin cruisers on the Grand River. And you might be lucky enough to see some of the bountiful wildlife too. We have seen swans, ducks, geese, king fishers, blue herons, hawks, wild turkeys, muskrats, a few eagles and even deer around this cottage. We also have seen evidence of a beaver, but no one has caught an actual glimpse of him--at least not yet.
There is a gas grill on the deck and a firepit in the back yard. Cook up some steaks on the grill and then roast marshmallows at the firepit. Watch flickering flames as you relax around the firepit. What a wonderful way to end a beautiful day!
The Blue Heron House is located on the Grand River at the mouth of Millhouse Bayou Lake in Grand Haven, Michigan. It is just 6 miles from the sugar sand beaches of Lake Michigan and from downtown Grand Haven. And it is only 1 mile from Pottawattomie Park. Pottawattomie Park features a swimming beach and a fishing deck and a great playground for the kids.
There is a bike path across the street from the house. And a convenience store is within easy walking distance.

We had a very enjoyable time at the cottage. It was very relaxing and peaceful. We used the firepit and grill. We enjoyed the deck and the wildlife.
