  We travelled to Pompano Beach for vacations in April of 2013. The house described here was really amazing. We were a group of 10 people and had a lot of fun there. The house has 5 totally separated bedrooms and 1-2 sleeping possibilities between the first and second floor. The area of the house is really unbelievable and totally enough for 10 and even more people. Everything is clean and relatively new. There are many possibilities to sit together in the living room, in the kitchen or outside. Also the variation of activities, which are possible in and around the house, are really impressive. We were really impressed how easy Amy is organizing the rental procedure. It is uncomplicated, without any extended documental procedures and totally stressless. We enjoyed the stay and the house and planning to visit Fort Lauderdale/ Pompano Beach again. Then, we are sure, we will rent again one of Amy’s houses. It was really a nice experience. We would like to express our gratitude to Amy and her co-workers.

  My family spent a wonderful week in this glorious home! It was not only exactly like the pics, but spotless and a staff that was warm and welcoming. We hope to do it again this summer!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  This is my neighborhood. So when my family wanted to come visit, I thought to myself,"do I want them in a hotel or someplace that feels like home"? The latter of course! I have walked by this house so many times and thought this would be perfect, and I was right! Just so you know, the photos are exactly what the house looks like inside! Just gorgeous!! The people who are running it made everything so easy. Luxury is just one of the ways I would describe the home, it's that and so much more. Clean and cared for a every point. I would suggest this home to all. Stay here and you will be glad you did. Great property, amazing staff! Thanks again Andra

  Let me begin by saying that Amy was a pleasure to deal with. From the initial inquiry until the time we left- she was prompt with responses and extremely accommodating! The pictures don't do this place justice. We checked in with 3 families- and we all had the best vacation ever! The view is great- we loved watching the boats coming and going. We were just a few minutes from Ft. Lauderdale Beach, Hollywood Beach and Deerfield Beach and we loved them all. It was a quick drive to Miami Beach as well. Can't beat the location! And being able to walk to the private beach and lighthouse was great. The property is VERY clean, very well maintained and the kitchen is well stocked. Plenty of linens, and we couldn't believe that the hot water NEVER ran out. There's a nice outdoor hot tub that isn't shown in the pictures- but we enjoyed it all week. Plenty of sleeping room, and plenty of space for everyone to relax. We loved the pool and tiki bar too! This property is a great, relaxing and fun place to vacation. We will be back next year!! The only suggestion I have, and this is NOT a complaint.... the property could use additional umbrellas, beach chairs and a cooler on hand to bring to the beach since those items aren't the type you travel with. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing. We all LOVED it!! Thank you Amy!

  Owner response: We were delighted to have these great guests. Amy does everything possible, then a little bit more, to ensure guests enjoy their stay in a house we are proud of. It does have a special location on the Hillsboro Inlet, opposite the historic lighthouse. Boats of all kinds, including our own company's BOLO fishing boats pass throughout the day and evening going out to the Gulf Stream just half a mile from our deck. We sometimes pick people up from our own dock for fishing trips. We will increase the number of umbrellas, beach chairs and coolers for the beach right away. Thanks for the suggestion on how we can get closer to our goal of providing guests the fun of a resort in their own luxurious, tropical vacation home.

  A friend rented this house for his 40th birthday and what a treat it was! The house was gorgeous and the view even better! I couldn't wait to sit on the dock each morning with my coffee and watch the boats coming and going. The house inside was just at beautiful as the outside - the pics on the site don't do the house justice. I particularly loved the kitchen - even though I don't cook, it was my dream kitchen. I hope to be back again soon.

  Hot tub, heated pool, tiki bar, tv’s everywhere, at least three different indoor dining areas, fireplace, 3 additional mini fridges, outside seating and dining areas, sliding picnic table, outdoor fire pit, even enough room in the backyard to set up a badminton court. Given the spacious layout, well-placed inflatable mattresses might accommodate a few more guests (wink wink). The master bedroom closets were so large the children in our party used that area as a playroom. They only came down stairs for meals. There is even a public park within walking distance, as well as, access to a delightful private beach. The focus of our gathering was to celebrate a 40th birthday. We hired a professional photographer for the party and the view and landscaping could not have been more ideal. Dealing with Amy was stress-free. She was helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend the entire experience.

• What a place!!!!!

  We have been renting different homes in Miami each year and without a doubt, this was the biggest surprise!! The house is so much larger and brighter than any pictures could have captured. Windows everywhere, water scenery everywhere!! The master bedroom/bathroom is enormous and so private. The pool was heated and spotless and the Jacuzzi was an added bonus. The Tiki bar on the side was our favorite hangout and boasted its own flat screen TV, fridge, sink, music, etc. The other bedrooms were perfect for the rest of our family and each had its own private bath. We were 9 adults with 6 children and there was plenty of space for all with room to spare. The back deck/dock area has a double glider bench covered with a peaked roof that was perfect for lunch. The location was also amazing because the house is situated right inside of the Hillsborough Inlet cut. Boats passing by constantly was such a beautiful scene. The house was also so clean and well cared for. The large BBQ grill and expansive kitchen actually made us want to eat in almost every night. I really did not want to write this review because I wanted to keep this secret to myself!! Lastly, Amy the Homeaway agent, was the icing on the cake!! She helped so much with any questions and was always available. I only hope it will be available for us again next year once we've nailed down our dates.

  This house is perfect! We had so many vacation plans, but once we got to the house, we never wanted to leave. This was the first time we rented through a Homeaway.com type service so we were nervous initially, but Amy (the property manager) is a dream to work with. She was accessible, helpful and a made every step of this process easy and comfortable. When we arrived, she greeted us and provided a guided tour of the house and property and gave us details on local attractions. This was our first time in Pompano so that was very helpful. The photos do not do this house justice. The Master bedroom with private balcony and gym, including a sauna, was amazing. It was so private that it felt like a separate house. Also, I've never seen so much closet space, ever. The views from every room in this house are postcard worthy. We had in-laws, parents and kids with us and the house was set up perfectly for a family vacation. The king bedrooms with en suite bathrooms made everyone feel like they had their own hotel room. The house has so much living space that no one ever felt cramped, which is perfect for any family trip. The gourmet kitchen was fully stocked with more than enough utensils and cookware. It was also very nice to have plenty of seating at each dining table. On this vacation, however, we spent the majority of our time outside between the tiki bar with grill and tv, gorgeous pool and the covered swing/picnic table by the water where we relaxed with the lighthouse and sounds of the ocean: it was magnificent. The location couldn't be more convenient. We chartered a boat one day. The Captain just pulled right up to the dock to get us and a minute later, we were on the open ocean. The private beach access was ideal, too. We found a quite spot by the pier where the water was totally calm and we could go waist deep and still see through the water. The kids loved it! Also, on the inlet, all of the boats going out to sea have to pass the house, which provided quite the show each night and quite the excitement each day. There's a convenience store barely a block away walking and dining/spa/shopping was a short drive away. There was very easy access to I-95 and the A-1A, which is not always the case in Florida. Truly, this house is perfect for any vacation. We are already planning to return and stay longer!

• Truly Unbelievable!

  This home away home is beyond luxurious, it's truly unbelievable. From the gourmet kitchen to the incredible master bath, every detail has been tended to. Clean, spacious, and well supplied with all the essentials you may need. There is plenty of space with four bedrooms on the main level, two have full bathrooms within the rooms and another full bathroom between the other two bedrooms, one room with bunk beds. One huge master on the upper level with an enormous master bath and stunning views of the inlet. A workout room off the master with a balcony and lounge chairs for privacy. Imagine waking to an awesome sun rise that illuminates the Hillsboro lighthouse. Situated on the Hillsboro inlet there is a beautiful dock ready to accommodate anything from jet ski's to a yacht, or take a swim in the salty inlet and catch a few rays on the chaise lounge. Beach access is just a few houses away and the beach is clean and private too. There is also a spacious pool, with a waterfall just right for relaxing and refreshing. Or sit out at the tiki bar and grill some dinner, there is a television at the tiki bar and a full outdoor surround sound system to enjoy music while sitting outside. The possibilities were endless, and the grounds are lush and private. Amy and David are considerate, friendly and available. Kevin does a beautiful job maintaining the grounds and is very respectful and polite. I can not possibly put into words what a wonderful vacation we had. This home made all our vacation dreams come true. Many thanks Amy, David and Kevin. See you again soon.

  Owner response: We were delighted to have these charming guests as one of the first groups to try the new property we have just added to our other three neighboring houses and condo. The house does benefit from It's oceanfront location, spacious docks and spectacular views of the Hillsboro Inlet, the Hillsboro Lighthouse and the Atlantic Ocean. Our team worked very hard to equip the house to the highest possible standard inside. Outside, the grounds are truly lush with tropical bushes and palms alongside two huge old growth trees that give the property great privacy. We are so glad that our guests enjoyed their vacation. We look forward to hosting them again.
