By Train: From Palermo station, take the train for Balestrate.
By Ship: From the Port of Palermo, take the freeway A29 Palermo-Trapani and exit at the exit for Balestrate. From Naples to Palermo by express ferry - Departure: 4.30 pm - Arrival 9.30 pm

Thanks for a fantastic holiday in Balestrate, Sicily. We loved our split level apartment with roof terrace which was in a very central location in the town, just 5 minutes walk from the beach. Balestrate is a great base for exploring Sicily, and there are so many beautiful places to see. We have made new friends in Piero and Annamaria, who were so helpful in every way. All the restaurants in Balestrate have such fantastic food. Everything is so fresh. The salads, olives, pizza and pasta and seafood are of the highest quality. I think perhaps the best in Italy. My wife and I stayed in Piero's flat in Balestrate in October 2009. It's a comfy place with plenty of room, and in an old typical Sicilian building. Not only did we have an economical place to stay, we were also spoiled by Piero's mother, who cooked us a delicious dinner and brought some wine and chocolates too. Very nice, and I recommend it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

I have a beatiful experience with my visit to Sicily, much more then I really expected. First of all, I want to say that we were totally satisfied with accommodation. It is very clean house with new furniture. The beach is very close so I can recommend this house to young couple with chlidren. The place is very calm and quiet and people are so friendly. "Apartment is really marvelous, all is confortable, perfect and clean; you find here everything, what you need.Owners are very kind and they were very warm and friendly all the time. Mostly donna Marie Christine was very pleasant, worried; she is charmer indeed! House is close to the long sandy beach and to the train station too. Everything was just perfect and We have been received with very warm welcome. The house and were more than we expected. It is very nice and confortable flat. The sight from the house is beautiful and has a nice view on the sea. Very quiet neighbourhood and we had wonderful and quiet walking on the seafront large footpath. The Flat is well positioned in a very strategic place close to the motorway junction VERY SUITABLE to visit towns and beautiful places in Sicily. Just perfect for those who want to have a relaxing holiday and in the meantime visit full of culture places . It was really what we wanted. Quite in vicinity long beaches with no crowds of people (some days we were alone), clear sea of wonderful colour, the air was fantastic. The apartment was very nice with antique style furniture, but the greatest thing was the owner, who was like a fairy who appeared with some gifts, fruit from her garden or some tasty things, who taught us to cook real sicialian coffee and in general was very charming person.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We recently had the privilege to stay in this very traditional Sicilian house. So much a perfect holiday we had, we are returning again in June and July! The house was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and was in an excellent position near the beaches and few minutes walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars etc. We were welcomed personally by the owner's Mother who had provided fresh bread, coffee, bottles of water in the fridge and cooked us a delicious Sicilian dish ready to eat! The fruit bowl was also full of fresh fruit, the oranges were better than Ive ever tasted from the UK... We were looked after as if we were staying with family. I have never experienced such hospitality and friendliness as the Sicilian people show. I have recommended this house to everyone I know. It was a pleasure to stay here and to be looked after in such a way. As we booked directly through the link, we also received reduced rates at local restaurants and airport transfer. Also we had a fantastic tour of all the surrounding beautiful, breathtaking sites, this wonderful location has to offer. I would highly recommend here...Simply Sicily...it needs experiencing to feel the many wonderful things it has to offer...Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Accueil des propriétaires très agréable, avec toute la semaine, des plats siciliens préparés par la maman de Piero. L'appartement est à quelques mètres de grandes plages de sable fin, la baie est superbe, la station balnéaire un charme certain. Piero est totalement disponible pour nous, ce qui ajoute des idées pour les sorties et visites de la région. Un bémol pour le bruit des scooters/voitures à prendre sérieusement en compte les premières parties de nuits de juillet/début août.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
