This is a cute-as-a-bug one bedroom log cabin. The bedroom is in the roomy loft area, with king sized bed, overlooking the ample living area below. View from the bed out the huge window above the front door gives you amazing views. Living area includes full kitchen, dining area, wood burning fireplace (we supply the wood, too!), and cable TV. Decks on front and back of cabin. Private setting, with no other cabins or homes too close. Located on a side road, it is within walking distance from town, but far enough away to feel 'away from it all'.

Lake City is on the Historic Towns list in the state of Colorado. Founded as a mining town in 1874, it is brimming with history. But the main attraction is the fabulous jeep trails, fly fishing, and 5 14ers to climb in this one county.
Year Purchased: 1993
About the owner: We moved to Lake City in 1984 from Richardson, Texas. Bob is a paper conservator, and works out of a studio in our home, very near this cabin. We also have a log duplex, with 2 2bdm units, that we also rent as vacation rentals.
Why the Owner Chose Lake City: We had lived right near this cabin for several years when we saw a 'For Sale' sign go up. We had always been attracted to it, and thought it would make a perfect cabin to rent to tourists. So, we bought it and re-modeled the entire cabin to make it what it is today.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin: This cabin is unique in that it is in a lovely setting, perfectly fitting the image of what a mountain log cabin should look like. It is also very comfortably furnished and immaculately clean. It is very roomy, too, unlike so many little 'camper' type log cabins. The wood burning fireplace also adds to the atmosphere, and has become a rarity these days.
