Fully equipped house on three levels in a secured building with 24 hr monitored alarm and a single car garage situated in a quiet residential area. The house is within 10 min drive to Camps Bay, Waterfront, beachfront and central town and within walking distance from the new Green Point Stadium (site of the 2010 World cup football ). There is an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting areas which lead onto a balcony with panoramic sea views. The dining area seats 6-8 people as does the balcony which has a gas-fired BBQ. There are 3 bedrooms each with queen-sized beds (2 with en-suite bathrooms), a TV room with a sofa bed (that can sleep two) with an en-suite shower room/toilet. All four rooms have air con and balconies leading off with sea views. There is an extra full bathroom as well as two additional toilets. There is a second entertaining area with a wet bar on the ground level which opens up to a dip pool, deck and garden.
As our property is shared with another family who live on the top two floors we share a lift which services both condos. Unfortunately when the lift is working it makes a lot of noise so we would appreciate consideration to our neighbours whose bedroom is next to the lift. Thus we request avoid using the lift after 11pm if possible and use the stairs instead. Thank you.

The week in Janet's place was amazing. Our group was pretty diverse and the sheer size of the house allotted us to have our own space. Clean, with a view to die for. Being at the foothills of signal hill was a plus. We hiked up to the noon gun and apex right from the back of the house. The coastline was right down the hill, challenge yourself and walk it. We all met that challenge and succeeded . The wifi worked well, the grill was topped off, and the water was piping hot. After shark diving or hiking that list sounds like heaven right? David looks after the house and was a great help. Cheryl did the transportation and was very prompt while having the personality of gold. Thanks Janet, for allowing us to stay at your lovely home. My husband and I stayed in this beautiful home for two weeks in August. Our daughter (doing a study abroad program at Cape Town University) joined us for several nights and we entertained other international students on several occasions. The home was spacious, immaculate and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the sunsets each evening while relaxing on the balcony. We hiked Lion's Head mountain (which is practically in the backyard!) and walked to the waterfront and restaurants. Shopping was convenient. Easy access to major highways around and out of the city. David, who looks after the house, was incredibly accommodating and was happy to answer any questions any time of the day. Cheryl, who provided transportation to and from the airport, was so kind and made many helpful recommendations as far as what to see and do in Cape Town and surrounding areas. The weather was perfect! Sunny and 60-70 F every day. This lovely setting made our experience in S. Africa all that much more unforgettable!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We spent 6 weeks in this wonderful house and enjoyed it very much. It is a free standing house with two units (the penthouse belongs to people we hardly saw or heard during our stay). So I would call the house technically a very large apartment, but it gives you the feeling of being in a house (you enter it directly with your own lift). The view from the different rooms and balconies is breathtaking. The house is absolutely quiet, although it is very close to the city center. So the restaurants, bars and shopping centers etc. can be reached in less than a 10 minutes drive.The house is very spacious and at the same time very comfortable. Even though the decor of the house is modern and very tasteful, you don't feel like living in a museum but very much at home. Our kids (age 6 and 8) enjoyed the pool (it is not huge, but sufficient for having fun as a family). The whole house is in a perfect condition and the kitchen is very well equipped. One can entertain easily 12 people for a barbecue. We had several Capetonians visit us for a barbecue and they were all very much impressed by the house. David, who looks after the house, was very helpful, whenever we had a question. We would definitely like to come back and book this house again. I would not recommend it though, for families with very young children and for people with disabilities due to the stairs (it is quite a "workout" to climb from the pool area to the top floor, where the kitchen and the living room is!).Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.
