My entire time in Colorado was fantastic. I had my immediate family in Colorado for my daughters wedding in Loveland. It was a very easy drive from Loveland to Estes Park. It was very nice to wake up to a beautiful view of the mountains each morning.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We had a fantastic experience here, beginning to end. The owners were very responisve with questions and forthright in their assessment of the property. The view from the front deck is amazing. The back deck with hot tub was a very nice touch. Located off the master BR made for a peacefull spot for my wife and I after the kids went to bed. We have small kids so it was nice to have the fold away crib, high chair for dinner and two gates for the stairs. The house is perfect for families with older kids. It was good for us but we had to block off the third level as the posts across the banister were too far apart as well as around the stairs going downstairs. Other than that, the house was perfect for us. The view out of the kitchen was so beautiful you actually looked forward to washing dishes. One morning I hiked up behind the house for a really nice view. It was less than a mile from the entrance to RMNP and we spent most mornings and afternoons watching the sun rise and set and several rain storms roll in across the Rockies.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My family of 11 had the most amazing stay July 30-Aug 4 2012. We all agreed that everything we could have wanted or needed was available in this home. The view is breathtaking! If we ever come back to Estes Park we know where we are coming. Thanks again for such a perfect vacation!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

The house was great and well maintained. We were close to downtown and Rocky Mt. Nat. Park. Had a beautiful view of the mountains to wake up to and could set on deck and watch in the evening. There were several food choices downtown of anything you would want to eat. We even grillled and cooked at the house some. Enjoyed some family time.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.

This was our first time renting through VRBO as well as the owners' first time! While we were a bit unsure as to what we would find, the house could not have been more inviting. It was even more spacious and attractive than the pictures led us to believe. The picture window in the living room/dining room and the deck just outside virtually doubled our vacation pleasure. Rocky Mountain National Park is full of spectacular, accessible hikes, but our fun did not stop when we left the trail. Sitting out on the deck and enjoying the view of Long's Peak or relaxing in the hot tub under the stars gave us such a feeling of connection with our surroundings. We were delighted with hummingbirds, grazing elk and rainbows right from our deck-side perch. The owner gave us detailed directions to the house and could not have been more accomodating in talking with me and answering questions. In fact, the house is perfectly located for access to the Park and much more a part of the town of Estes Park than we understood before we arrived. The kitchen is spacious and beautifully appointed with all sorts of appliances. The house was immaculate - and the cleaning ladies were such warm and friendly local women who ushered us in and out like old friends. We are already fantasizing family reunions in the same house next year - if only we can get our kids to join us! There are many more appealing restaurants in Estes Park since our last visit. We enjoyed lunch at Egg and I, interesting and varied menus and dinners at Mama Rose's and Poppy's, and and took shelter from a thunderstorm with a terrific lunch at The Other Side after an early morning hike. After this experience, we wouldn't want to stay in a hotel in the area ever again. We loved our "home away from home" and found the comfort and indoor and outdoor living space a good value compared to the high prices and cramped rooms at the hotel we stayed at last time even though the four of us barely filled the house up. Many thanks for your hospitality!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: We live and work in Wyoming. Deer Mountain Estate will be our retirement home in a few years but for now you are welcome to enjoy it. It is a great place to entertain our family and friends, walking the 355 miles of park trails, or maybe just a scenic drive on the highest continuously paved highway in the US.
Why the Owner Chose Estes Park:
For the last a few years, we have been looking for a dream retirement place. Our house has everything. Close to the Park, close to the down town, the privacy of a cul-de-sac, and the best views in Estes Park. Nothing better than having a breakfast on the private patio and enjoying the views into the Park or the sunset from the deck in the evening.
The Unique Benefits at this Estate:
From our back yard you can get on a game trail, walk to the top of the hill and be on the Rocky Mountain National Park trail system. You may go to the Beaver Meadows Entrance (1.5mi) and hop on a bus and ride all day--why not--It's free.
