This house had a wonderful lot. Not to hard to walk back and forth from the lake to the house, as there was a gentle slope. Inside was decorated nicely and plenty of room inside. However, the gas grill did not work and there was no charcoal in the other grill and we had to take the tank to go get it refilled as it was empty. Both fridges also did not work well. Some of the food went bad and the drinks never got chilled. There were ground bees all over the sandy beach, so the kids had to go to the dock and could not use the swing set as they were covered with bees. The kitchen is outdated, so prepared to eat out a lot. And the air conditioner in the main floor and downstairs did not work well. Everything else about this house was great. It is in a great location in a quiet cove off the main lake and close to roanoke rapids and the ferry.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
