We have been coming to Maggie Valley for about 35 years, but this is the first time for us at the Hon What a joy. We found the cabin perfectly spotless and nestled under a canopy of mountain greenery; a jewel in the rough. It was nice to spend our 45th anniversary in a "Honeymoon cabin". From the poppyseed loaf which welcomed us, to the torrential rain (with 65 mph winds) that soaked us, and Madeline who jump started our car when we were ready to leave, the stay was magnificent. The attention to detail in all aspects of the cabin from the very solid construction to the decorating touches carefully rendered made our stay totally unforgettable. We had a chance to meet Madeline and what a marvelous host she was. Don't miss a chance to stay at the "Hideaway" whether it's your honeymoon or not.

Cold and rain welcomed us to Maggie Valley. But as soon as we opened the door to the Honeymoon Hideway we were greeted with the warmth of a home, very clean and cozy place to spend the week. Along with a loaf of homemade lemon poppyseed bread. It was such a nice surprise. We awoke to snow. And enjoyed every minute of our peaceful stay. If you are thinking of renting one of the Johnson Branch Cabins let me assure you this is one on the nicest cleanest places I have ever stayed. I would rate our stay 5 stars from start to finish. And we can't wait to return. Thanks again to the Kennowski's for making our stay so warming. God Bless, The Folds

Mike & Madeleine: We had a wonderful week in the Honeymoon Cabin. This was our 5th visit with you and are still amazed each time at the cleanliness and wonderful condition of "our " cabin. You have a unique way of making your cabin seem like ours..cozy, clean and everything always in excellent working order. We wish so much we could visit more often, but thank God for the surrounding beauty each time we are there. We had an opportunity to zip line at the Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tour, something we would highly recommend in addition to the many other fun things to do (hiking, white water rafting, horseback riding, golf). We look forward so much to our return visit to Maggie Valley and of course, the Honeymoon Cabin. Thank you both so much. Doug & Christine Stephenson Jupiter, Florida

Thank you so much for making this a special place.Paul asked me to marry him May 29th at the Honeymoon Cabin, of course the answer is obvious as we were married September 19th. we enjoyed the time we spent there It was truely a pleasure to have met you. . The cabin itself was wonderful. Thank you for giving it a special touch. We are looking forward to staying there again and would recommend to everyone .

JUST SPENT ONE WEEK OF RELAXATION IN THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CABIN IN THE SMOKEY MTNS. NC. MADELEINE AND MIKE BAKED A LOAF OF POPPY SEED BREAD AND WE FOUND IT IN THE FRIDGE. BOY WISH I HAD SOME NOW.THE PORCH WAS A PLEASURE TO SIT ON AND WATCH THE BEAUTY OF THE HUMMINGBIRDS FLYING AROUND AND WE ENJOYED THE SOUND OF THE CREEK BELOW. DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU ARE YOUNG OR OLD THESE CABINS ARE THE BEST. I AM 72 MY FRIEND 70 AND WE LOVED EVERY BIT OF OUR VACATION. ALSO, PLENTY TO DO FOR FAMILIES OR NEWLY WEDS. GREAT GREAT PLACE. CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT IT.

Gregory and I enjoyed our stay at your Honeymoon cabin in Maggie Valley very much. We have stayed in a lot of cabins in SC, NC as well as TN and yours was by far the cleanest we have ever stayed in. There was not anything that we were dissatisfied with. The stream outside our bedroom window was so peaceful and the poopy seed bread was sooo good and a pleasant surprise. Thank you also for not taking advantage of everyone by tacking on all the fees (cleaning, handling etc...) that most rentals are doing now. And also thank you for your phone calls letting us know the weather and road conditions the day before check in as well as during our drive to Maggie, something no one else would have took time or cared enough to do. Dear Madeline & Mike, We had a wonderful and relaxing time in your honeymoon cottage. We were able to do some touring, dining out, as well as using the bbq that you have. We loved the hot tub, the privacy and the sound of Johnson Branch Creek. Hope to be back.

This was our second trip to the Honeymoon Deluxe Cabin. Again, we were not disappointed. We hated to leave last year and waited a whole year to do it all over. The stresses of everyday life slipped away when we stepped on the deck overlooking the creek. The rushing sound of water was an amazing stress releaser! We were amazed at how cool it was even in July. Our 52 degree mornings were greeted with coffee and a sweater on the deck...much different from our Florida 90 degree weather for the same week! We hope to be back again. Madeleine and Mike have taken care of every detail and make it very home-y. We again enjoyed it and "long" after the mountains after we leave. Thanks again. Neil & Rebecca

Every year when we take our April vacation I start in January looking for a rental. That chore is gone. Alpine cabin was amazing. In town yet nicely private and the creek running through the property was just the icing on the cake.We have found our cabin. Thank you so much for such a nice place to spend our vacation. All that and a motorcycle shed. See you next year.

I just wanted to tell everyone what a great time my husband and I had at the Honeymoon Cabin. Daniel and I were married on April 4th,2010 and we arrived on April 5th. It was just gorgeous! Madeline made sure that we had everything that we would need to be comfortable. I am so glad that we went there and have been talking about it for months. So much that friends of ours have been there and I am still telling more! I highly recommend going and having a great time and just relaxing and enjoying the tranquility!

Just got home after a week in paradise. We stayed in Honeymoon Hideway and loved it. The cabin was located on the side of the mountain overlooking Maggie Valley. Enjoyed sitting in the hot tub looking out over the valley. Loved it so much we reserved our 2010 dates prior to leaving. Look forward to another great visit with Mike & Madelaine.

We just arrived home from spending Christmas week at the Johnson Branch Cabin. This was our 4th time to Maggie and our 3rd time staying at Maggie Cabins. In the future we will only visit Maggie if we are staying with Mike and Madeleine and their Maggie Cabins. They are the best hosts. Their cabins are the cleanest ANYWHERE! Johnson Branch cabins are beautiful and private and the creek below makes it especially peaceful to relax and enjoy the mountain air. The owners, Mike and Madeleine Kenowski are wonderful hosts. The area has much to offer in nature including hiking to waterfalls, white water rafting, and don't forget to visit the Biltmore House in Ashville.

This was our 3rd time to stay in one of the Johnson Branch cabins. The cabins are always so clean & relaxing. It is always so hard to leave. The Alpine is great for taking walks & enjoying the beautiful mountains. The chairlift at Ghost Town is a must. Thanks again M&M :)

We had a wonderful time. The cabin was clean which is a must for me. The HoneyMoon Hideway is conviently located yet secluded. We have been coming to NC for 30 years and can't remember having had a better time. The hot tub was great especially after a day of hiking. Hope to return again. Thanks M&M. We have stayed at the Honeymoon Hideaway and loved it. We always wanted to be able to take our motorcycles and were so glad that the Alpine Cabin is available now. The Kenowski's keep their cabins clean and well cared for. If you are looking for a great place to stay, stay with them!

Was truly refreshing to have a clean, comfy cabin secluded by beautiful trees, and hear the soothing creek close by. We enjoyed having the hummingbird feeder on the deck, and watching them feeding. Was also an added touch that Madeleine shared a loaf of her wonderful poppy seed bread. We would not hesitate to stay here again. We had our Son & his wife with us for the week for our 30th anniversary, and they loved it also. All our thanks.

We spent our honeymoon in the honeymoon cabin. We couldn't have picked a better place to get away from all the overwhelming excitement that comes with planning and getting married. The hot tub and wood stove were my favorite part, but the creek was so beautiful. I didn't dream that the cabin could have been as peaceful as it was. The best thing was seeing it snow the morning we were leaving. Going shopping in downtown Waynesville was very cozy and the people were very nice. We definitely want to come back, maybe in the fall next time. The most wonderful food and service was at Arf's and J. Arthurs, must check out these restaurants.
