Rarely does a home come along for rent that offers everything that 5 Ocean Point has to offer. The owners of this home have meticulously and lovingly maintained it from the outstanding curb appeal of the finest in landscape design, through attention to every detail within the fabulous interior, to the exquisite backyard lap pool and cabana. We are so pleased to be able to offer this home for the very first time in early summer of 2012. Each bedroom offers an en-suite bathroom, there is a private den to retreat to watch tv or another to enjoy a game of chess or read a good book. There is wonderful open space to congregate in the living room, as well as in the newly remodeled kitchen which is simply beautiful - spacious and open with multiple sinks, breakfast bar, breakfast nook and sunroom. There is also a large formal dining room for sit-down meals to enjoy conversation with friends or family. A perfect home to get together with old friends, or for small family gatherings - memories will definitely be made in this awesome home. Located within the private gated entrance of Ocean Point, this home is only 250 yards from the beach or 1st tee of the Links golf course, and offers a special retreat for those who appreciate style.

Wow, your home is beautiful! The pictures online don't really capture how wonderful your home is. It was perfect for our family of 6! My daughter & her husband had one room, my son had a room and my other daughter had her own room, so it was perfect. We loved having our own pool, that was definitely a selling feature for us! You have a beautiful & inviting home!! We enjoyed our experience at the Isle of Palms. We have spent the past 25 years on Hilton Head Island and decided to venture out beyond our "normal". So glad we did!! We had a few days of rain and spent one of them in Charleston and the other playing games as a family. This house was a perfect fit for us. We had a wonderful time at the Isle of Palms! It was the perfect setting and place to relax with two little ones; ages 2 & 12 weeks old. The set up of your home was the perfect fit. Our family vacation on the Isle of Palms was perfect and so was this house. We really enjoyed the pool everyday. The pool house wsa a bonus - we ate lunch, listened to music and had our favorite summer drinks each evening together. What a true delight! We have been coming to IOP and Wild Dunes for 9+ years. This is the first time we have stayed in an Ocean Point home. Amazing! It has been the perfect fit for our family. This is our second vacation in Wild Dunes but the first was almost 10 years ago. We will remember this trip very fondly as it was wonderful to spend time with our family! Your home is very beautiful and we are fortunate to have found it. The pool and surrounding grounds are gourgeous too! Thank you so much! We loved it! We just spent the week of June 23-30 at 5 Ocean Point and it was amazing. This is a beautiful house on a spectacular lot. The outdoor space was fabulous. This was the cleanest rental I have ever been in,and we have vacationed in this area a number of times. The walk to the beach was short and easy (our youngest was 7 and found it easy). The pool area was where we spent alot of time. I cannot express how beautiful it was. Wild Dunes offers many activities. We took long walks around the community and saw alligators, deer, turtles and many birds. Next time I would bring bikes or rent them. We enjoyed our spring break in this beautiful home. It was very clean, well decorated and had room enough for our large family to spread out. We felt right at home. We loved the outdoor space which was very private and beautiful. We were steps away from nature and a short walk to the beach. My family and friends rented this property for a 10-day vacation when it matched our search terms of having a pool, hot tub, and FULLY equipped kitchen. Although we all fully reviewed the enticing written description and the beautiful photos of the property they did NOT reflect the home’s appearance or amenities as advertised in the VRBO listing. Instead we found: 1. Although there was a pool and a hot tub the heating feature had been disabled. We rented in early April and the water was FREEZING. We spoke personally to the homeowner and the property manager to request the heating feature of the hot tub be enabled. We even offered to pay additional monies for this. We were severely disappointed when neither the owner nor the management company responded to our replies. Instead we got the proverbial “We will check on that right away and get back to you.” The PRIMARY feature that attracted us to this property was unusable! 2. There was not enough furniture to adequately support the number of guests the listing advertised. This home was furnished beautifully in the photographs, but when we arrived the remaining furniture was sparse at best and oddly placed. 3. Our group loves to cook. This pleasure was nearly impossible with the poorly equipped kitchen. Even simple meal preparation was a challenge. It was very disconcerting to arrive at this property that was advertised fabulous only to find we had fallen prey to age old “Bait and Switch” scam. We have rented numerous vacation homes through VRBO and this property is by far the greatest disappointment!!Owner response: I am sorry that these guests apparently did not enjoy their vacation but there is no 'bait & switch' here .... the pool is not heated nor is it advertised as heated. The Ocean Point community pool is also not heated, but the spa at the community pool is. Note that the pools are really only usable once we have extended warm weather with temperate nights to keep the water at a reasonable temperature. The kitchen is well stocked and certainly plenty of furniture for all to be comfortable. It is a shame that these guests felt it necessary to give a 'one star' rating to a great property - we have added comments to VRBO from our website and the guestbook and encourage prospective guests to review ALL of the comments as they consider a stay at 5 Ocean Point.
