Location: Angel Fire, New Mexico, USA (five miles South of Angel Fire in Black Lake, New Mexico)
Accommodations: Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths (Sleeps 7-8)
Keywords: Alpine Cabin
Jack Rabbit Ridge is a real alpine cabin that sits on a ridge overlooking the beautiful Moreno Valley and Mount Osha. Western movie buffs may recognize the incredible views from the movie "Lonesome Dove." The cabin sits on one acre of land with mature ponderosa pines and backs up to thousands of acres of pristine New Mexico state land. The cabin has direct access to this land for hiking, climbing, and mountain biking. Plenty of wildlife including elk, deer, and turkey. The cabin has all the modern amenities, but still radiates the western heritage and traditions of Northern New Mexico.
We are only five miles from the Angel Fire Ski Resort and three miles from Monte Verde Lake and the Angel Fire Golf Course. Angel Fire offers everything from ATV tours to horseback. The golf course is 18 holes and PGA approved. Jack Rabbit Ridge has everything that a family could want in activities, but also gives you a peaceful retreat at the end of the day to enjoy incredible sunsets and millions of stars. We call it back-country living five minutes from town.
The cabin is located in a development of wonderful log cabins called Loggers Ridge and has direct access to the main highway into Angel Fire. You can go from the cabin to the base of the slopes in five minutes. This is an unique property that emphasizes peace and quiet and getting back to the simple things in life.
