ACTIVITIES AND ATTRACTIONS
Belize has long attracted scuba divers and snorkelers with the atolls, barrier reef and Blue Hole. Kayak and bike rentals are available near the resort. Golf cart rentals and land and water taxis are available as alternative modes of transportation. You will find there are few motorized vehicles on Ambergris Caye, most people walk, bike or drive golf carts to get around the island. There are wonderful restaurants all along the island. You can parasail, kite surf, sail, jet ski, fish, snorkel and dive. Take a water taxi into the mainland for zip lining, cave tubing, Mayan ruins as well as other historic and cultural offerings, bird watching or seeing the country side/jungle.
WHERE IS AMBERGRIS CAYE IN BELIZE?
Ambergris Caye is a long, narrow island east of the Belizean coastline in the Caribbean Sea. The island is divided in half by a narrow water way, creating the north half of the island on which the Grande Caribe is located and the south half which is the original and older section of the island. The Grande Caribe is one of the island's newest and most sought after resorts, affording peaceful privacy but still close to the Island's only town San Pedro. Walk or bike along the beach to San Pedro, a quaint small town that provides a cultural experience unique to Central America.

Fabulous Condo in Beautiful Resort
Fabulous Condo in Beautiful Resort
This condo is awesome! Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Everything about it from the granite counters and beautiful tile floors to the top of the line appliances. Gorgeous doors and trim, and refreshing air conditioning. Spacious and elegant throughout. The free wifi was nice to Skype and facetime with family and friends back home, showing them the beautiful pool and beach views from the balcony, while they were enduring below freezing cold and snow. We stayed with another couple and had plenty of room and privacy. Enjoyed the near empty beach to play guitar and snorkel by the resort's private pier. Close-by restaurants had fabulous and good priced food. Palapas bar and grill was fun and had snorkeling too. Aji for romantic fancy, and a great BBQ place within 2 minutes walk.We shopped for fresh fruits to make tasty tropical drinks and smoothies, and cooked some great meals as well. Resort staff was also top-notch, always kind and helpful. They obtained our connecting flight from the mainland (which was a fun hop), golf cart and dive reservations with just a call or request in the lobby. The owner was also very helpful with dining and activity ideas. Also enjoyed a day-trip via economical and fun water taxi to Caye Caulker for fun shopping and drinks at the Split Bar. The Dive/snorkel combo was very fun and reasonably priced. I was able to GoPro video a pair of "dancing stingrays" in some sort of love tornado dance. Very cool. I highly recommend this condo for your vacation, you will happy you did!

Absolutely AMAZING Place!
Absolutely AMAZING Place!
We stayed in this unit in February 2013. This is most likely the best place to stay on Ambergris Caye. The condo has all of the great amenities that you would expect for a five star resort - beautiful kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable, classy furnishings and cable TV in each room, if you really want to watch it! The pools and hot tubs are also wonderful - they even have a swim up bar. We rented a golf cart to get around, and had a great time exploring the local bars and restaurants. I walked every morning up and down the beach. There is also a yoga class every morning out on a palapa about 5 minutes down the beach. We always felt totally safe everywhere we went. The locals are very welcoming and friendly. It was a bit windy while we were there, and were only able to get out to dive the reef once, but it was amazing! Lots of friendly sharks, eels, turtles, rays and beautiful fish. Definitely wished we could have gone out a few more times. Great place to stay and get a great tan!
