Had a perfect weekend at this lovely home. My partner and I keep reminiscing every couple days about how good a time we had. Highlights for me: --LOVELY, spacious home with neat, refurbished antique furniture (which I found out was made by Alice). Felt very much so at home. Really liked the spacious kitchen and refurbished bathroom. --home sits next to a river at the base of a mountain --proximity to tons of hiking --proximity to Stockbridge's main street which was a cute area to walk around --3 mi from Lee Premium Outlet which we stopped by on our way home to Boston --3 mi from one of the largest grocery stores I've seen in a while --how flexible and friendly Don was Came back from the weekend and immediately emailed my friends to recommend the place to them.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

A quiet and relaxing place in which to get away from it all! You can catch and release on the beautiful river banks right outside the back door. Our time spent relaxing beside the river was priceless. You are close to everything the berkshires have to offer without the noise of being in a downtown location. The furnishings are beautiful yet comfortable. They thought of everything. We have found our new home away from home and will be back often! Thank you Don and Alice for a wonderful stay!Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for the kind words. So glad you enjoyed your time here. We welcome you anytime!

My husband and I stayed here for 5 weeks this summer. We felt very at home in this comfortable apartment. The owners are lovely people who were extremely welcoming but very unobtrusive. The view out our bedroom window of the Housatonic River was so peaceful. We hiked in nearby parks and enjoyed all the cultural events that this area of the Berkshires is famous for. But we always returned home to our cozy place by the river.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: It was such a pleasure to meet you and have you enjoying our home as much as we do! Please come back and see us again.

If you want to enjoy the Berkshires at its best, this is the perfect place to do so. Peaceful and quiet - the location is perfect and both the indoor and outdoor space is just what we were hoping for! Immaculate and bright with everything we needed supplied for us. This newly renovated space in this almost 200 year old home was just lovely. The outdoor space was perfect for relaxing evenings by the firepit enjoying the views (and the family of deer on the riverbank!) The owners are welcoming and accomodating when we were looking for recommendations on restaurants and suggestions of places to see and visit while we were in the area. Its a lovely trip from NYC and we will definitely be back to experience the Berkshires during each season. This is the perfect get-away location! This is definitely our new home-away-from-home!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
Owner response: We love it when our guests enjoy our home and our beautiful area as much as we do! Thanks for visiting! Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
