My Weekend Stay at Lake Paradise

The house was beautiful inside and out especially waking up to the backyard of a lake view porch. I liked how well the house comfortably slept 13 of us in the house. Overall it was a good weekend get away from the cities. Ice fishing was our main goal, but fishing was a slow bite during the entire weekend. For a group bigger than 10, I recommend bringing more plates and utensils, and cooking pots/pans, and cups. If your planning to use the stove for cooking, I'd recommend bringing a propane cooker for outside because the stove could only handle light use (we used stove to warm up meat balls for spaghetti and burnt a lid?) Other than the stove, and not enough utensils/plates/cups/napkins everything else is good to go. The house is beautiful just like in the photos and you have to see it in person!Owner response: Sorry this took so long for me to respond. We have had renters in since your stay, and many before, and no one ever commented on the stove. My husband and I since your stay have been there, and cooked a meal for ourselves and find the stove to work just fine. I guess I don't know what to tell you. We are still looking for replacement parts for the part of the stove that your group melted, and also the parts that the finish was taken off by whatever you cleaned it with. These parts don't effect the use of the stove, but the stove was only 7 months old, and we like everything to look nice. We have talked to another party that has been there since your stay and they said there was no problem. Also since your group was there, I have purchased more silverware, so now there is enough silverware for 26 people verses 18, and I purchased yet another set of pots and pans. There are MANY kettles in the kitchen, all various sizes. I am putting another set of 12 place settings of dishes in the kitchen also, so there will be 24 place settings total. We thank you for the review, because we take these very seriously. We want to make this place as comfortable as possible for everyone! Thanks, Sharla.

We had 10 women at the cabin on the coldest weekend of the year - but that didn't matter because we were inside a beautiful home! Some of us ventured out to snowshoe and walk around the lake. We even got to see a moon halo when we took our last walk of the day. Went to CastAways for dinner and got to meet the owners of the cabin. Accommodations were excellent! We look forward to spending another fun-filled weekend at the cabin - when it's warmer.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Hi Kristy! Glad to hear your group had a good time. It was nice meeting the group that Friday night. We would love to have all you ladies back again. Thanks again, Sharla

We had a great time. The photos were very accurate. The place was very well maintained and very up to date. The owners were wonderful and hopefully we will be able to rent again from them. They were very helpful and I feel went above and beyond for us. They had a few restaurants nearby but we did not take advantage of them as we cooked the whole weekend, the closest store was about a 10-15 min drive so I recommend bringing everything you need if you don't wanna really have to go anywhere. Even though the neighbors were very close by we were in a bay area of the lake and it was very peaceful and quiet. Thanks so much for letting us stay and hope we will be able to come back again!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: Hi Angela! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay! Thanks for the great review. Let us know if there is anything we can help with again! Later, Sharla.

We rented this cabin for 6 couples, it was a great week-end. Plenty of room for all of us to be in the house and not feel like we were in each others space. The deck was beautiful for morning coffee, great view of the lake. The pictures are exact of the house and it was very clean and well-maintained. The owners were very helpful and willing to have us call them if we needed anything, great service.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks Denise! We really appreciate this!
