Location! Location! Location!

Drive down the private road toward the ocean in our residential neighborhood and you will quickly realize you have left behind the normal flow of Plymouth traffic. As you proceed, bearing left at a fork in the road, you will be passing a unique growth of evergreen trees located on this property which you will soon find significantly enhances the quiet charm of this location.

You have now arrived at the curved driveway leading to the front door as well as to the large two car garage. Maybe wanting to defer bringing your luggage immediately into our Harbor View Home, you will prefer to park and walk over the lawn to the left past the glassed-in sun porch and step onto the wide pillared porch that extends across the harbor side of the home.

This is the view we promised you down the full length of Plymouth Harbor toward Plymouth Rock, where the "Mayflower II", the fishing boats, the whale watching vessels, the ferry to Provincetown and the private sail and power boats are moored. The Plymouth Yacht Club, the local marina and the many restaurants are popular waterfront destinations.

On the right you will see Plymouth's Long Beach, a dramatic 3 mile sand spit which is accessible on foot from the public beach 1/2 mile away. When walking here, particularly in the fall, be sure to observe the widely diverse flocks of migratory birds. You will quickly understand why professional birders have identified this beach as a key destination on the Atlantic Flyway. Bring your spotting scope and binoculars.

Did you bring your kayak or canoe? At high tide you may want to launch at the foot of this property directly into the harbor or paddle up along the grassy banks of Eel River which enters the harbor at this point.

You may simply prefer to relax for a moment on this commodious porch in a comfortable chair or a wicker love seat to plan your next move. You will soon notice the quiet atmosphere here, particularly due to the abundant evergreen and hard wood trees which now completely screen your view of the neighboring homes.

When you bring your luggage in the front door, you will see that this exceptional harbor view is still there from the living room, dining room, the kitchen and the glassed-in sun porch, as well as from the upstairs bedrooms.

Harbor View Home was originally built for well-to-do Bostonians who enjoyed the opportunity to maintain a pleasant summer vacation property for their family. You will soon realize this is an ideal location to relax, to read and to enjoy the view and the sunsets.
