Our pine planked log cabin, Listen to the Creek, is located just 90 minutes north of Atlanta, 90 minutes southeast of Chattanooga, and 30 minutes from Murphy, NC in McCaysville, GA. Nestled quietly in the woods on one acre surrounded by ferns and seasonal views of one of the best GA trout fishing streams, Fightingtown Creek. Walk 300 feet down road to the 8 x 10 ft dock shaded by trees and where the huge trout wait for your hook! Start your morning with coffee and a cool mountain breeze in a rocking chair on the screened porch or wrap around porch. Sit at the table at lunch and watch deer wonder by the window. At dusk, watch the sun set over the tree tops from the swing and rocking chairs on the porch or count the stars while roasting s’mores around the fire pit.
True to its name “Listen to the Creek” is a great relaxing retreat in the mountains with all the comforts of home. Entering on the open main level, you find a cozy living room with a wood burning fireplace (great for a romantic evening), a dining area, and fully equipped kitchen with place setting for 6. Open floor plan makes viewing the 32' flatscreen TV equipped with cable (including ESPN) and a dvd player enjoyable for everyone in the kitchen or family room. Cabin has 2 bedrooms and a loft area kids love to make forts in, plus two bathrooms with beautiful flagstone floors. One bedroom with a queen is on the main level and stairs lead to the second floor room with a full bed, private screened porch with sunrise views and full bath. Fully equipped washer and dryer closet is also available for your convenience.
“Listen to the Creek” is close to historic downtown Blue Ridge, Lake Blue Ridge and the Toccoa/Ocoee Rivers - Only 11 miles from the Olympic Whitewater site! You can go kayaking, rafting, or canoeing on the river; ski and fish in the lake; ride the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, go horseback riding, Zip-line at Fire Wire, Bert’s Pumpkin Farm, Merciers Apple Orchard, or the Swan Drive in Movie Theatre. There are also local golf courses in the area for your enjoyment
The cabin is well equipped not only for essential living but for fun too! Rafts and life jackets for the creek and river are also provided for use at your risk. No need to bring movies or a book. There is a small library of books, movies and games to enjoy too!

Our cabin stay was amazing!!!! It was cold this time so we did not have a chance to do as much as we wanted to, but we had a great time regardless. The cabin was beautiful, everything was so accessible, the owners were amazing and so helpful. We can not wait to go back in April when my mom visits!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was our 1st visit to the Blueridge/Mcaysville area. We really enjoyed ourselves. All the beauty of the Smoky Mountains without all the traffic. The cabin is rustic but modern with every convenience you could ask for. Very clean, neat and comfortable with a rustic "hey I'm in the mountains" atmosphere. Beds were comfy and I loved the open floor plan. You can just kick back and relax or find lots of adventures to to get into. We enjoyed the trainride and browsing the unique shops in town. We enjoyed wading in the creek and having a picnic on the bank. And we even found a little honky tonk with a band for dancing one night! Our favorite activity was "porch sitting" the views, the breeze, the peacfulness and the chit chat. It was a perfect long weekend! We definately hope to revisit "Listen to the Creek"Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We recently stayed in this cabin and I must say it was wonderful! The interior is very rustic and beautiful. The cabin is very private. It was a great place to just kick back and relax. Even though the weather was warm we were able to open the windows and sleep with just a fan. It was fabulous! I highly recommend this beautiful cabin!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I love this place! Nestled back in the woods, but not too far, so that when we need to pop into town we can. The place is beautiful and very clean. I love the setting. Sitting on the porch and listening to the creek is so relaxing. Rafting and playing in the creek is so much fun!!!! Wish I were a better fisherman ;-) We had a ball here! It offers the best of both worlds. Play and relaxation. The cabin is great and the area is beautiful. Can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The cabin is cute and cozy - and away from the hectic city. Just what the Doctor ordered. We enjoyed the peacefulness, listening to the stream. The fireplace is very nice on a chilly morning and evening. We also enjoyed walking the roads for miles without traffic. Rafting the stream is also nice. We will enjoy a return visit, soon.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
