  This was a great house that I would not hesitate to recommend. It was by far the best place that we stayed at in Costa Rica and just an amazing place in general. It was a couple of miles from the beaches, and a little walk(3/4 mile) from the main road where you could catch a bus, and the road to it was pretty sketchy, but everything else was great. The rooms were spread out over 4 floors, so it would not be great for a family that didn't either all sleep together or one that had young children that still needed to be taken care of at night, but it would be great for a family with teenagers or a great big party of multiple families, as it was huge, spread out and a great place to forget you were in paradise and just stay at the house all day. I have to say, I was pretty nervous about renting a big house in a foreign country and wasn't too confident that I was going to have a place to put my family when we got there, but Alex, the property manager was fantastic. everything was exactly as he said, the house was cleaned every day by his wife, who was great. It was amazing in that he was more of a concierge than a property manager. I needed a zipline tour, he arranged it. Drs. office visit, done. Great time, great house. Nothing not to like. Pura Vida.

  It was an awesome time we spent at Manuel Antonio. We used Vacation Villas as our travel agent and they did an excellent job setting up our transport to and from the international airport, getting our activities lined up and the house was just right for our group with lots of elbow room, Alex helped pointing us in the right directions and setting up our dinner reservations. We also had a chef for our last night and it was an incredible meal we will be coming back next autumn. Thanks for the great time Vacation Villas

  Rented this house with a group of friends. The cleaning, concierge and security staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating with info about the area and activities.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

  Our group had 5 couples and Villa Grande had more than enough space for everyone. The five rooms ensured each couple had their own private space. On top of that there were lots of places to hang out as a group. We hung out by the pool a few times, the living room when we wanted to just relax, and we even hung out on the top floor where there is a BBQ and a large table.

  We had a group of 10 stay at Villa Grande in late April, early May. Low season in the area, but the weather was grand, and the Villa lived up to its reputation. Alex, property manager, went out of his way to coordinate fishing trips with locals (we kept the fish and had a great dinner prepared by local chef) ATV rides into the jungle and zip lines. The villa is huge, and 4 of the 5 bedrooms are spectacular. The 5th bedroom is located next to the pool/aundry, and is not as big or as luxurious as the other 4. The pool is the best, the swim up bar and lots of lounge chairs provide a great place to relax. Driving is challenging, so we used taxis or shuttles, and had no problem. The beaches at Manuel Antonio are great, clean, and you can rent beach chairls, umbrellas, etc for a reasonable fee, and have a comfortable day on the beach. Manuel Antonio National Park is a beauty as well, wish we had spent more time in the National Park, hiking and exploring....next time. All in all, Villa Grand was Grand, with the concierge Alex, providing a high level of service. Lots of monkeys, iguanas and a great relaxing atmosphere for our group. The only suggestion would be to get the stereo at the pool functioning so that guests can enjoy some music while at the pool area.
