Ocean Breeze cottage is on the east side of the island with an unhindered view of Casco Bay and spectacular sunrises, and steps away from a secluded beach at the dead end of a quiet neighborhood. Yet, the cottage is walking distance of the Bailey Island General store, the post office, a non-denominational church, Mackerel Cove, the hub of the fishing and boating community, and several local eateries including the famous Cook's Lobster House. Everything about this place is a reflection of its owner's respect for his surroundings and his guests. The cottage is immaculately kept and takes full advantage of light, space, and ocean breezes. A general store and small cafe are within easy walking distance, as is a small rocky beach. Mackerel cove, which has a small strip of sandy beach and harbors working fishing boats is also a fairly short walk and makes a nice destination for a morning or evening stroll.Did you find this review helpful? Lovely cottage and very peaceful. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. The view was great. Owners were very cordial. Definitely recommend this cottage.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway.

The Ocean Breeze cottage was outstanding. The cottage is immaculate. The grounds were beautiful. I couldn't ask for a better location. There's a clear view of the ocean as you're located right on the water. Steps away from a private beach made it ideal. The best was the constant ocean breeze. Thank you Eric for a wonderful stay!
