Great Ski Week!
Great Ski Week!
Thanks for offering your wonderful home with fantastic views! Our stay was perfect. No problems at all. The house was clean and well maintained with very comfortable furnishings. We drove the 35 miles to Telluride each day to ski and were so happy to return to Ridgway every evening where there was peace and quiet and no long lines for restaurants! Eating at the Thai restaurant in town after a long day on the slopes is the perfect warm remedy. On the one day it snowed heavily, I stayed back (others went skiing - no problems with getting to Telluride despite the weather) and walked to town to enjoy a warm lunch at The True Grit Cafe. The best beef stew I've ever had. We loved being able to dry our clothes, take hot showers, relax with a movie, and cook breakfast before heading out again the next morning. We'll be back. The skiing at Telluride was fantastic! Don't let the drive stop you from staying here in Ridgway - its beautiful landscape all the way there and the roads are in great condition.

Owner response: Thank you for your wonderful comments. Telluride is a bit more than 35 miles away, but the terrific all weather road to the resort goes right through Ridgway. We are excited about the coming winter and doing a snow dance for a great winter.

Perfect quiet retreat
Perfect quiet retreat
We had a wonderful time at Lucy's house in Ridgway. The place is cozy and well-appointed and was perfect for our family of four. Though we had some trouble with the internet/wifi, Lucy was very concerned and helpful, and eager to make it right with us (though I would recommend a phone call to reach her, she did not respond quickly to me email). Ridgway was lovely, the fall color was amazing and the people are incredibly nice. We'd definitely come again!

Owner response: Laine- I am glad that you and your family had a great visit. Ridgway in the fall is amazing and the fall colors were spectacular this year. I am pleased to report that so far VRBO's insurance option (in lieu of security deposit) has been great at helping fix the accidental damage. I am so glad you elected that option. It is true that I am always available to guests by a special number by text or phone call. And typically I answer email each morning before 8 am and again after 8 pm. Please think of us again for next fall or early summer! (I am pleased to report that Eagle's Rest is fully booked for next July and August!) Best wishes
Everything we hoped for!
Everything we hoped for!
This home was everything we had hoped for in a vacation rental. It felt very much like home and allowed our family to really relax during our vacation. It was walking and bike riding distance from Ridgway. Lots of room to spread out and play outside.
