I don't want to give this review as to that would give away this well kept secret. This was truly a relaxing vacation. Traveled with Husband and 3 kids (7 & 5 year old boys' and 4 month girl) Was able to sit out on deck when baby was napping and still enjoy the older boy's playing, fishing, swimming or just looking for shells on what was basically a private beach ( there was hardly anyone on the beach all week long). Amazing sun sets, and views the picture are all accurate. At first I was concerned about dealing with VRBO as we had some booking issues but they were completely honest and answered all of my questions before we committed to this rental. We visited the Air Museum in Dover which is free and there were plenty of shops and resturant near by if you need to get out. We over packed as this was our 1st time in the area. No need to do that next time. There are many grocery stores to shop at if you choose to eat in or go out to eat with a bunch of options. The owners were great too... very easy to communicate with and meet us there to show us around then house. We can't wait to come back again very soon.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This beach home is so quaint and simply adorable. The pictures from VRBO accurately depicted the house and the location. It was so nice to have complete access to the beach and bay right off the deck and there were very few others so it was like having our own private beach. The home is clean and well maintained and we especially loved the upstairs bedrooms, bath and deck. Every morning provided a beautiful sunrise from the lower deck where we sipped our coffee and sat on the rocking chairs. Initially, I was concerned about dealing with VRBO but they were completely honest and answered all of my questions before we committed to this rental. The location is great being just south of Dover and north of Rehoboth Beach. We visited the Air Museum in Dover which was free, the Dogfish Head Brewery in Milton (fantastic free tour!) and beautiful Rehoboth Beach. My husband and son even signed up at the local gym for their daily workouts that was very reasonably priced. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and family and return again many times!Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children.

Family from near and far...MD, MA, and Korea...gathered together for this week of simple pleasures...the beach and the bay...where the tide rolled in and out...having fun in the sun!! Windsong has all the pleasures of a true beach vacation with little fuss. For my mother-in-law who could not venture out on the sand...it was a real a treat...on the balcony you feel like you are right in the middle of it all...it was a real treat!! When not enjoying the water...time was spent building sand castles, flying kites, and throwing the frisbee. We enjoyed shopping the farmers market for local foods cooked on the grill. After a day in Rehobeth for a shopping fix we looked forward to our home away from home on the bay. TVs in every room helped keep the teenagers at ease when in need of an electronic fix...but, for the adults, the lack of internet and phone was bliss!! We all agreed a return next year is a must!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

I have been coming to Windsong since I was a little boy. Now in my 30's, have returned with a family of my own. My twin 3 year old boys, my wife, and myself. The boys had a blast on the beach. The water is within casting distance from the deck. This is the perfect place to bring young kids because you do not have to worry about a crowd of people. The view as always, was amazing! We had great weather, in the mid 90's all week. The bay breeze really made it feel cooler than it was. Enjoyed relaxing on both the upper and lower decks. The recent modifications to the house are spectacular!!! The owners are great to deal with and it was a pleasure meeting with one of them. We plan on coming back again, for sure!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

House is extremely cozy. Vacationed there with grandmother, husband and children. Everyone had a blast! Beach is quiet. Owners are awesome to deal with; makes stay easy and enjoyable. Will definitely be back!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We looked to buy a property that suited both of us. This place gave us the enjoyment of peaceful and natural wildlife from the private beach as well as the chance to hop over to the shopping outlets or the nightlife at the casino.
