'Wanna' GO AWAY from it all? Well, our 'GO AWAY' Ranch is located on a wonderful rushing river, with a nice sandy beach spot, nestled in the midst of all the beautiful trees and rocks of all sizes and shapes line the river. There is nothing more relaxing than listening to the sound of the river. This cabin is in a ranch style setting to go along with the theme of the old time cowboy and Indian era, and it is decorated accordingly, right down to the wood carved rocking saddle bar stools. It is truly a one of a kind experience. You will find the cabin stocked with everything you will need. We have a master suite with its own private covered balcony and a Jacuzzi tub that looks out on the river. The burl log bed set is one of kind and was custom made for our bedroom. You will enjoy laying in bed watching tv or maybe reading, but one thing for sure, you will hear the river roar, or is a storm passing through. There are 3 more queen beds in two different bedroom area's. The kitchen is completely stocked, We have our own exceptional, private sledding hill, along with lots of others close by. We are close to golfing at Kahler Glenn and Leavenworth golf club, fishing at Lake Wenatchee, Fish Lake, numerous rivers, cross country skiing trails are plentiful and you can ski right from the cabin to our very own groomed cross county skiing trails, also you can snowmobile right from the cabin to the groomed snowmobile trails. This is a special feature and one that we take care not to lose. So all rules of the development need to be complied with. There is skiing at Stevens pass lodge, which is only 30 minutes away and also skiing in town at ski hill. Downtown Leavenworth is just a short drive away through the fun little town of 'Plain, Washington' Leavenworth is where you will find all the year around festivals, including, the famous Christmas tree lighting and Oktoberfest, we are in the center of snow mobile heaven.

We had a wonderful sister weekend in this amazing house. Loved the western decor and the house was very clean and the beds were super comfy. We had coffee on the deck in the morning listening to the river and the birds, it was very peaceful and quiet here. There wasn't a pizza pan or a regular toaster but we made do and loved our stay, we would definatley stay here again. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful house with us. This place is AMAZING! The interior is cozy & inviting, the beds are amazingly comfortable, the sound of the river is soothing and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Downtown Leavenworth is about 18 miles away & totally worth a visit. The photos listed give you just a taste of how fabulous this place is. We will definately be back! Really neat cabin! We had a great relaxing weekend. The only thing is we did not realize that the cabin was located pretty much in Plain, 20 mins outside Leavenworth. We would have meal planned differently. Next time we will be better prepared! Owner response: There are two stores within 5 minutes of the cabin either way you go, with another one 10 minutes away. We have our place marked on vrbo's map, sorry you didn't understand down town is a ways away for the big Safeway store. It sounds like you still enjoyed yourself, and I am glad to hear that. Six of us stayed for two nights and had a great time! No issues with space, it was exactly as depicted in the pictures and very clean! No surprises with this one, and fairly priced. It was a bit early for snow, but I can see how that bunny hill would be perfect for sledding once it does. The details of the decor and theme were adorable, and the owners have obviously put their hearts into making it a cozy home. We rented the house for our Leavenworth Christmas tree lighting vacation....We all loved it! The cabin was well stocked and VERY clean! We have rented cabins in the area for 10 years now and this one was the cleanest and had the most magical setting on a wooded lot with the rushing river. Dear Jim & Linda Thank you so much for letting us stay in your Wild West cabin. This place has True Grit. We were spurred into saddling up for a good time. These lonesome doves enjoyed the good , the bad, & the ugly---and it didn't cost us a fistful of dollars! We almost missed the 3:10 to Yuma, but our stagecoach left on time. Thank you for sharing your cabin. We had a great time getting into the "Western" feel of the place, exploring the rivers and eccentric Leavenworth and even enjoying a little Short Circuit one night. Have to say the dolls gave some of us a bit of a scare, but it is all part of the Great Outdoors! Thank you again, your "Wanna Go Away Cabin" really made the 2012 summer. About the owner: My husband and I are lifetime residents of Washington. We raised our children here my husband was raised in the small town of Maltby, I grew up in Anacortes, which is part of the San Juan Islands. Our children grew up in Arlington and We currently live in Marysville, Wa
Why the Owner Chose Leavenworth:
We spent every summer at Thousand Trails camping when our children were growing up. Most of our time was spent fishing . The kids loved to fish! We always had so much fun, then of course time marched on and all our children grew up. We loved it here, it is only a 2 hour drive from the Everett area, just a short 20 minute drive to Stevens pass and Leavenworth and just a 5 minute drive to all fishing spots. We decided to buy a lot on the river and build our own cabin.
