Renovated fifties lake house. Built by the local car dealer to be the jewel of Flathead Lake. The lot was split and a single-story home built in front, so we do not have lake access. We do have fantastic views from our perch 100 yards from the lake.
Lake opportunities are a minute's walk away. Nearby you will find SK marina, offering boat put in, dock slips, jet ski/boat rentals and scenic lake cruises. Further down Glacier Raft company offers daily white water trips, chartered fishing and sea kayak rentals.
Beotchler Park is ½ mile (ten minutes walk) east. The Park has a picnic area, swimming, showers, zero-entry beach for young swimmers, horseshoes, volleyball, concessions, paddleboat rentals, 27-holes of golf and the Port Polson Players live summer theatre.
You will find the lake ever-present while you hang out at 'home'. The dining room and living room flow together into a spacious, great room. A row of picture windows run the entire lake side of the home offering splendid views of Polson Bay. In the dining area, a wood Murphy bed rests in the original built-ins. A dining table seating 8 overlooks the water. A giant, cozy sectional defines the living room making it the perfect place to relax for a movie, game, book, or to watch the weather moving in over the lake. We provide cable TV, high speed internet, free long distance, DVDs, games and a small varied library, including children's books.
One bedroom is very large (12' x 12') with a reading nook, lots of closets and two lake-view windows. The other patio-side bedroom is more modest (8' x 13') with a double bed and a dresser, All our beds are new and our bedding tasteful, selected for high thread count and quality fabric.
The pink kitchen features the original custom refrigerator/freezer and built-in blender and griddle. All modern conveniences —toaster, microwave, coffeemaker, and teapot—are also present. We provide a set of good pots and pans, matching place settings, tasteful silverware and quality bakeware. Everything you need to make, serve and enjoy a great meal is here. We even have a small cookbook library.
The back barbeque deck, with art deco railing, faces the lake and has large eaves, offering ample shade during the heat of the day. Bathed by full sun early in the morning and late in the day, this is a great spot to enjoy a quiet breakfast or sip wine and watch night fall over the lake. On the south side of the house, there is a large flagstone garden patio, This patio is the perfect place to work on your tan or read a book.
Our lot has ample parking. Our big grassy lawn, is perfect for Frisbee, croquet or badminton. A small undeveloped wetlands/ woods to the east provides a haven for the wildlife-- deer, raccoon, fox, ducks and geese, doves and songbirds, gulls, eagles, owls and hawks—often spied from our property. . We have the rackets, mallets, Frisbees, and binoculars.
Everything is within walking distance. Polson, the largest town on Flathead Lake offers art galleries, book stores, gift shops, dining, health food, yoga classes, a 2-screen movie theater, Kwa Tuq Nuk Best Western Casino, and several city lake parks.
Within a few hundred feet you will find groceries, banking, gas/car wash, videos, espresso, McDonald's, Ace Hardware, and Pizza Hut.
Burgerville, Polson’s favorite fast food (seafood baskets, burgers, chicken, malts) is directly across the street. The Hot Spot, an excellent, family run Thai restaurant, is 4 doors down.
A designated bike trail runs in front of the house and connects to Polson (west) and the Walmart/Safeway shopping center (east) . A hundred yards north, the old railroad bed has been converted to a 15-mile non-motorized walk/bike path. Several nice biking loops using this path and the country roads south of town are available. WE PROVIDE BIKES.
Hunting is available outside Ninepipe National Wildlife Refuge and Pablo Reservoir National Wildlife Refuge. Wheat fields and wetlands are found all over the Mission Valley, so, fall hunting near Polson is great for pheasant partridge, ducks and geese. Pablo Reservoir National Wildlife Area --10 minutes from our door doorstep--provides refuge to upland birds and roughly 80,000 ducks each fall. Hunting is available on thousands of acres of State and Salish Kootenai Tribe lands. One hour south Ninepipe National Wildlife Area offers even more great habitat and nearby hunting. Your dogs are welcome (just keep the Beggar's Lice and mud outdoors).
We are located on the Salish/Kootenai reservation which offers great sightseeing from the 114 year-old Pow Wow at Arlee to the moving frescoes at St. Ignatius mission, to the National Bison Range. The stunning Mission Mountain Wilderness has dozens of lakes and offers great day hikes and fishing.
Glacier National Park, 73 miles north is a great one-day adventure. Finally, you can easily drive around Flathead Lake (105 miles) in a day, with plenty of time to enjoy the many quaint towns, bays and state park beaches along the way.
Our philosophy as landlords is to provide excellent, high-quality accommodations with an eye for detail and beauty. There is a $500 security damage and cleaning deposit ($300 off season) - refundable if the property is properly cared for and well-cleaned at check out. Reservations may be cancelled within 60 days of stay for full refund.
YOU CAN SEE OUR PROXIMITY TO THE LAKE, MARINA, PARK AND GOLF COURSE BY CLICKING ON OUR MAP BELOW. Once you are there zoom in and out and switch from map to satellite a few times to begin to get a picture of our location.

LOWER UNIT AVAILABLE. With lake views from every room, it faces away from the highway and is quieter than the upstairs.
Completely renovated with new carpet, tile, paint and blinds. We loved the 50s lake house feel, and left much of the original charm. We also added a taste of Montana with log-framed beds and wooden furniture.
There is plenty of room for entertaining. Indoors, the unit is 1,150 sq. feet, has three queen beds to sleep 6 and a two-person futon.
The covered barbeque deck with gas grill and table will seat 10-12. The lawn is large and a good place to play or get some sun.
LOWER UNIT SUMMER RATES (6/15 to 9/10) 3 night min. $160/nt. 4-5 nights $130/nt.; 6 or more nights $115/night ($805/WK). There is a (7% room tax) and a $500 refundable deposit.
The pictures of the lower unit, found on the last half of our photos below, were taken last fall. They show the unit unfurnished, near the end of our remodeling. Please look past the photo quality. You can expect the same high quality and cleanliness past guests have noted in our reviews--fully appointed kitchen, quality linens, new mattresses, and a nice, warm feel.

My husband and I wanted a home to enjoy Christmas & New Year with our family in Polson. What a find! From the start, the owner was flexible with our dates to stay. The home is large and spacious yet cozy and felt so home like. The views of the lake are beautiful from one entire side of house - dining room, living room and best of all, from master bedroom. Picture waking up, turning your head to see magnificent mountains, the lake, 5 eagles in the trees, geese paddling just off shore - and all this every day! anything needed is there...full kitchen, washer/dryer, large sofa to enjoy views and fireplace. It was a relaxing, serene vacation. the owners made sure we were comfortable in every way. The location is right in town, across from grocery, resturants, etc. yet you wouldn't know it when inside the house. We will be back! Cannot wait to enjoy in summer. There is a cute enclosed patio on one side and large deck on other side overlooking the lake. Several deer strolled through the yard frequently but iI wasnt lucky enough to see the fox.Could not complain about a thing! Thank you to wonderful owners for making us so confortable. The home is described acurately. The kitchen is worth the visit - we had not seen anything like it. Cute and functional!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful stay at this home just off Flathead Lake in Polson. Everything we needed was there. Great retro appliances and one of the most comfortable beds I've experienced in a rental. Great deck for a nice dinner our in the sun, deer ambled through at sundown. Our hosts were very responsive and gracious and all the little touches made our stay special. Very well maintained.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

The home worked out great for two couples and one child. It can easily hold more than 5 guests. The property had everything we needed and more. It is very close to anything you might need (groceries, food, etc.). The view from the home and the rear deck were wonderful. The owners answered any question we had and provided anything else we needed during out stay. I would strongly recommend this rental home to friends and family.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

When we first started looking for a place to rent, we were a little hesitant because we had never used VRBO before. We found this place on VRBO and were drawn to the beautiful view and the description of all the amneties. The owners Craig and Debra were so prompt to answer all our questions and quickly helped us make our decision to come and stay in their home. Upon arriving at the home, it is secluded and had all the comforts of home. We especially liked the late 50's kitchen. The house had everything we could possibly need and we were able to cook in many meals. I even took the honor of playing Craigs guitar for the group and we proceeded to play Pictionary(a game we had never played) We laughed so hard. They have a variety of movies, games and books. The back porch is great for relaxing(with a bbq grill) and the view is wonderful..watching the sunrise and set over the beautiful Flathead Lake with a great mountain view was something I had never seen and was quite beautiful. My favorite part of the home was sleeping in the bedroom with the lakeview. Waking up with the morning sun. The front patio is secluded with a relaxed setting with beautiful flowers well tended to and comfortable patio furniture. This house is very convenient for the area and were spent alot of time just sitting at home.I would highly recommend this place if you come to the Polson area as it left us feeling at home and comfortable the whole entire stay. Craig even mailed my camera charger to me when I arrived home and realized I had forgotten it. These are thoughtful and considerate people and have taken pride in making this home...A HOME AWAY FROM HOME..:) Thank you Craig and Debra for a wonderful stay..Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely place in June. The home it self is very comfortable and cozy. The place was very clean with new linens, tastefully decorated and furnished. The back deck looks out on Flathead lake, much of my time was spent there reading and enjoying the sunrise and sunsets. The patio on the front was great for entertaining. I would recommend this place to others looking for a nice place with beautiful views.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We were the lucky ones to be the first into this great holiday rental! A revamped 1960's, luxury in it's time, home from home, with very cool "gadgets" you will have never seen before like a kitchen cupboard style horizontal fridge!. The longer we were there the more we loved it, it really did feel like "home" and was well equipped. The sweeping lake views were incredible and watching the sun go down across the lake from the deck and awakening to the rising day from a comfy bed with a view of the lake were as good as any ! The place is simply furnished, highly functional, spotless, and incredibly well laid out to accommodate any number of people. Indoor/outdoor living is possible with a huge front enclosed courtyard and rear deck..your choice of sun or shade! The hosts Craig and Debra were very welcoming and accommodating. This was one of our best vrbo's in a year and a half of our world travels!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.

I stayed at this rental a couple weekends so far this summer and loved it. The views are great and everything about the house itself is awesome. The house is clean, comfortable and everything from the furniture to the dishes seem new or next to new. The location is cool because you can walk to local restaurants and businesses or just barbeque on the patio overlooking the lake. I absolutely plan on going back and inviting my family up from Kansas to stay there.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, people with disabilities, families with young children.
