Three bedroom, 2.5 bath home with a 72 foot deck running the full length of the back of the house, nestled into beautiful, tranquil, private woodland area that abuts state forest land. The home is close to all southern Berkshire attractions, including Jacob's Pillow (10 minutes), Tanglewood (30 minutes), Berkshire Theater Festival (30 minutes) plus fresh water ponds/lakes and Otis Reservoir for wonderful swimming and boating. Hiking and bicycling in the area is unbeatable – near to Appalachian Trail, Berkshire Land Trust, Tolland State Forest and many other trails and quiet country lanes.
The house is designed with master suite upstairs (21 x 18) and two bedrooms on lower level (14 x 19 and 12'5” x 19). It is a great space for blended families -- grandparents and children; parents with teens – everyone will have their privacy. A spacious open great room (29 x 38) with cathedral ceiling combines living, dining and kitchen, allowing all to be participant as desired. Sun-filled great room easily accommodates large gatherings of friends and family. Separate TV room with desk and closeable door (14 x 10'8”). A regulation pool table on one side of two-car garage is great for evenings and rainy days. The deck (12 x 72) includes Weber gas grill, dining table and chairs, Adirondacks and double hammock, plus chiminea for cool nights of sitting outside to watch the stars, point out the constellations. The master suite and the kitchen both have sliding glass doors to the deck.
The house is fully furnished with washer, dryer, dishwasher and well-equipped kitchen. There is a fireplace in the great room and two sleeper sofas for occasional/weekend guests. All bedrooms have king size beds and in one bedroom, the king is convertible to two singles, plus the room has an additional single so able to sleep three persons. Parking in garage for one car and outside for additional three or four vehicles.

The house was perfect for my family. There was plenty of room, beds and rooms were very big. Open kitchen into the family room. The kitchen was well stocked. Cable and internet were easy to use. Jan was so helpful. We felt at home. It was a great stay. I would only add, that next time I would do my food shopping prior to visiting. The big grocery store was a bit far.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Spent two great weeks in this home. Roomy, comfortable king beds in each room, wi-fi easy to use and reliable. Relatively serene setting with conservation land on one side. Large deck, great for coffee outside, barbecue or just utilize hammock. Somewhat distant from shopping (Lee about 20 minutes away with Big Y) and activities (Tangelwood, Great Barrington) but there are a number of country stores a short hop away. Fratelli's and Nip Tuck Inn are decent restaurants nearby. Very comfortable for 5 or 6 people. TV room separate from bedrooms, turns out that's a good thing.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We were two couples and stayed three nights in this house. It could not have been better. The house is in the middle of the woods, big and rather cool inside (nice when it's summer). The deck is just ideal for meals and relaxation. It includes a table, a hammock and a fire spot. The main floor of the house is made of a big room (which serves as dining room, living room and kitchen) with tons of windows so tons of natural light, a master bedroom with bathroom and a TV room. The other floor is below the main floor but not underground either. So there is natural light also. Down there, there are two other nice rooms and a bathroom. It was very cool down there- again ideal for summer. We were only 4 but we could have fit 6 people with no space issues at all. The house is close to the Otis reservoir which is a very cute lake. The town of Otis is small but there is a grocery store which is very convenient. The kitchen is well equipped and we found all main condiments there (salt, pepper, oil). Also, the Wifi worked really well for us. The driving indications provided by the owner were very clear. All in all, I strongly recommend this house if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing stay in the Bershires.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.
