This was our second time staying at Saltbox. We loved it so much last year that we decided to stay for two weeks this year! The house is in a wonderful location. It seems like the beach is getting crowded anywhere lower than milepost 20, so this was a great location to be away from the congestion. The house is wonderful..... we loved the updates to the kitchen. Everything you could possibly need is already at the house. The house is well kept and clean and the owners are fantastic and went out of their way for us. Not only will I recommend this place to others, but I plan to continue to vacation there for years to come. Definitely worthwhile!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Owner info
About the owner: David and Laura vacationed on the 4x4 beach in 2000. Before they left that week, they had purchased a lot that would become the site for their future home. Having built and restored many homes in the past, this new location provided a new opportunity to create the perfect home for themselves and their family. As it turned out, the perfect home was not one that needed to be built, just moved 10 miles from it's location in Whalehead Beach.
Why the Owner Chose Carova Beach:
This location was one that suited our sense of nostalgia, since the old Coast Guard Lifesaving Station was in sight. When we moved the house from Whalehead, we had to make a tough decision. We had to decide whether to place the home to take advantage of the tremendous views or keep the main entry out of the path of nor'easters. The view won! While we enjoy the views from the deck, the main views are enjoyed from the kitchen island, where we can watch the breakers, birds, dolphins and an occasional whale.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This home is comfortable, without being worrisome. There aren't too many ways to wreck it, which allows for true relaxation.
