Our apartment is perfectly situated for you to fully experience the pleasures of Guanajuato, the heart of Mexico's historical colonial center. Located in a quiet part of the city, it is easily accessible by foot, local transportation or car. Walk down the stairs, stroll through the tree lined streets of the local neighborhood, and 15 minutes later you are downtown, with its museums, restaurants, plazas, theaters and a large market. Take a bus or taxi home and and get dropped off a few meters from the front gate. The large terrace, perfect for a morning coffee or a cool afternoon drink, provides you with a magnificent 180 degree view of the city and surrounding mountains.
The apartment is bright and the two bedrooms are spacious, with a king size bed and a boveda (dome) ceiling in the master bedroom. The den has a sofa bed, making a third bedroom an option. The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee machine and all necessary utensils. Amenities include cable TV, wireless internet and cleaning service once a week. The covered laundry area has a washing machine and a clothesline.
The complex is quiet and secure, with a locked gate at the entrance, providing a setting that offers you tranquility, privacy, comfort and the conveniences of home.
Access by car is easy, with one parking space available.

About the owner: We have been visiting Mexico together for over 20 years, and fell in love with Guanajuato in 2009. We have been coming back twice yearly since then, and couldn't resist buying this lovely apartment in May, 2012. It is our pleasure to offer our Mexican home as your base for enjoying your visit here in what we consider to be the most beautiful city in this fascinating country. Our Canadian home is Vancouver, where we are professionals in education and complementary health care. Ted speaks Spanish as well as English.
Why the Owner Chose Guanajuato City:
The view from the ample terrace sold us on the apartment. We love its proximity to downtown, and the local neighborhood of Embajadoras has its own charm and most essential services. This area of Mexico, with its perfect climate, is our favorite part of the country.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
The apartment is located in a small quiet complex near the top of a street just below the Panoramica, Guanajuato's perimeter road. After a long tiring day of walking around the city, visiting its museums, galleries and plazas, you have the option of taking a bus or taxi for a few pesos and being dropped off literally meters from the gate. If you forget to buy something in town, there is a new 24 hour convenience store a short (flat) walk away.
