Welcome to this remodeled cottage on Honeoye Lake, with awesome views of the Lake. There is a small beach area with access to swimming or water sports, and great fishing. A front deck has been added this year to sit outside and enjoy the lake.
The cottage is handicapped accessible with plentiful parking available. It is located on a private road, so it is a quiet retreat with low traffic. The lake itself has low boating and recreational traffic. The cottage is on level ground to the lake, so no steps to enjoy sitting out close to the water. There will be a few steps down to the dock on the property.
There is lots of shade with outdoor furniture and tables to enjoy outdoor relaxation, nature, or activities overlooking the lake. A BBQ grill and a fire pit is also provided on the property.
Inside there are 2 separate bedrooms, and a remodeled bathroom. There is also a remodeled and fully equipped kitchen and new appliances. An enclosed sunroom completes this cozy cottage with a sleeper sofa. There is WiFi and it has a 32 inch TV with cable service.
The cottage is located only 2 miles from downtown Honeoye, which has a grocery store, pharmacy, liquor store, and local restaurants. Sandy Bottom Creek is the local swimming area and park for Honeoye Lake and has supervised swimming. There is also a large children’s playground downtown open to the public and during the summer Honeoye has free Friday night concerts at the gazebo.
We are near numerous wineries, some having not only wine, but beer tastings. Hiking or biking trails offer various levels of ability. Harriett Foster State Park is nearby and the view of Honeoye Lake is absolutely breath taking. It not only has walking/hiking trails, but has mountain biking trails for the adventurist. Cumming Nature Center is a short drive and offers an educational building as well as walking trail. Honeoye Lake has a state boat launch and the lake offers all kinds of water sports. There is Trident Marina located on the lake for rental needs. There are several golf courses within a short drive into Victor, Naples or Canandaigua. A favorite to all is Grimes Glen, in Naples, where you can walk along a creek to beautiful waterfalls. Naples also has a Farmer’s Market, Monica's Pies for great homemade pie and jams, and the Bristol Valley Theater. If you are looking for a day trip: Victor has the Eastview Mall and the Finger Lakes Scenic Railway. Canandaigua has Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion; Penn Yan has the Windmill Farm and Craft Market – open Saturdays only; Corning Glass located in Corning, NY; Watkins Glen on Seneca Lake has a well known state park and Nascar race track.

The cottage at Honeoye was perfect. Descriptions accurately described!. Landlord went above and beyond; very helpful and pleasant :) The weather was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a clean and cozy getaway. Beautiful view of lake and mountains. Watch the sun rise in the morning and while sitting at the campfire look at the stars at night. Cottage is cute and easy access. Very clean and well maintained. Bob is wonderful and helpful in meeting any of your needs. My sister and I had a great time, going to shops, vineyards and enjoying near by restaurants. We would love to go back again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

This cottage is amazing!! very clean and newley remodeled. Bob and Sally did a wonderful job getting this place nice and cozy for a nice relaxing vacation. Bob is very good at responding to concerns and questions about the cottage and is a personable type of guy!! he makes the stay at the cottage worth coming back again and again. This place is a little slice of heaven! We decided to take a last minute mini vacation and found Bob and Sally's cottage. What a gem! They were gracious hosts and offered us a lot of information about the area. The cottage was wonderful. It was very modern and spotless. It had everything we needed and more! Fishing off the dock was great and the kids had a blast. The lake is very serene and the sunsets were incredible. We definitely want to be repeat visitors! My husband and I, along with our 11 month old twins, and our friends who also have an 11 month old baby, all stayed in this cottage for 2 nights in July 2012. We had a fantastic stay. The cottage is really cute and well designed. The bedrooms were small, but big enough to fit 2 playpens for our twins. It was well equipped with a kitchen and all the necessary appliances. It was the perfect place to stay with babies. The back of the cottage was the best - just steps from Honeoye Lake. There was a barbecue, a chair and some tables, which made for some fantastic dinners. It was very peaceful sitting under the large trees and looking out at the lake all day. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to return to this cottage. We highly recommend it for a weekend or even a weeklong getaway. Bob and his wife live next door and were so welcoming and interesting to talk to.Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Cozy, simple cottage with very nicely remodeled kitchen and bathroom. Awesome lake views from every room (expect one bedroom). Early mornings, with the sun on the porch, are particularly lovely! Lake is quiet and owner is very responsive to concerns of renters. Perfect for four people, tight for six. Our only complaint was the number of little nighttime bugs that managed to get through the screens, attracted to the interior lights after dark -- not bad, just a bit annoying -- maybe tighter screens would help! A nice choice if you're looking for a simple vacation in a beautiful location.
