Paradise on the lake!
Paradise on the lake!
My husband and I have spent 2 weeks here with family. One this summer and another last winter. I can not say enough about this cabin. Its spotless, cozy, and provides a space for great memories to be made. My concern for not being able to check my emails every 3 minutes wore off almost immediately! Its such a gift to be disconnected from the crazy world of work and provided our family a space for connection, conversation, and lots of laughs. The owners have put so much care & detail into every aspect of this cabin. Its easy to see this is a place they love as well. The linens and bedding are more comfortable than my own bed! The decor is updated and gorgeous. There is a perfect fire pit for evening bonfires, and a beautiful dock. Most of our days were spent on the dock sipping coffee in the morning, sunbathing, kayaking around the bay, water skiing, tubing, and a few visits to Elkins for cocktails. There are great hikes, and lots to explore. We rented a paddle board from Elkins one day and had a blast attempting to master it! All our family loves it here, and we can not wait for our next visit. I highly recommend this for a great getaway!

Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: We grew up in the Spokane area and always enjoyed spending time at Priest Lake. We think it is the prettiest lake in the Northwest.
Why the Owner Chose Huckleberry Bay:
Having spent many summers in Huckleberry bay with family, we happened to kayak by our cabin in the summer of 2007. The original owner had decided to move away from the lake and we took the opportunity to own a vacation home on the 'jewel of north Idaho' After a modest renovation, we have now enjoyed many summer and winter vacations with family. Our kids only want to go to Priest for their vacations!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
The best thing we love about the cabin is having coffee on the dock in the early morning and watching the sun rise over the mountain peaks. The water is like glass and the lake is so clear you can see the bottom in fifteen feet of water. There is always something fun to do at the lake! Swimming, skiing or hanging out on the beach and Elkins is only a 20 minute boat ride away. There are many miles of trials for ATV, hiking or running. Moose lake is a short 1 mile walk away. If you forget something, Indian Creek campground is a 15 minute drive and there is a small convenient store there for supplies. This is also a good place to launch your boat.
