The perfect place to sit in the sand and enjoy the turquoise blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. A short stroll to the North and south are to large undeveloped parks, perfect for kayaking and hiking. For the shoppers we are one short block from world renowned St. Armand's Circle. St. Armand's is filled with fashionable boutiques, fine jewelry shops, souvenir shops and everything from local fish restaurants to 5 star restaurants. This area has been unspoiled and enjoyed by visitors from every country in the World! Come join us in paradise!

Wonderful vacation. This cottage was perfect. Simple and clean. MInutes to the beach and walk to St Armands circle. New pool fantasitc.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

A GEM! Within walking (2 blocks) to St. Armand's Circle & 200 yds. to beach over dunes. Inside decor is sleek and modern with funky '50's kitchens & bathrooms. Ample, comfortable rooms to stretch out in and addition of pool (not completed during our visit) will make the backyard & deck area another tranquil space within which to relax. PERFECT for our mother/daughter weekend but could accommodate 4 people very comfortably. Beds were supremely comfortable with wonderful linens. Bikes were a great asset as Longboat Key is a very doable ride as is cruising over to Sarasota Main Street area as well. Only glitch structurally is that bathrooms are a bit tight....if you are a person of girth....you may not be comfortable. Otherwise, I can think of nothing else that prevented us from enjoying this really sleek, clean, & private space where we could choose to do yoga on the beach or shop downtown or St. Armand's Circle in a heartbeat. This is DEFINITELY a repeat visit place for us. FYI...I am an interior designer so am fairly critical about decor & functionality. I HIGHLY recommend this private home.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Charming vintage bungalow, much bigger than it appears. My husband and I spent a wonderful week exploring the surrounding area, up and down Lido Key, as well as downtown Sarasota. The Saturday Farmers Market is not to be missed; A-MAZING! St. Armand Circle is great for touristy or upscale shopping as well as a wide variety of restaurants; The Blue Dolphin is a MUST for breakfast, seriously! It is an easy walk from the cottage. We found a Trader Joe's on the mainland and cooked at least one meal a day at the cottage. The kitchen is well equipped with pots/pans and bakeware. The outdoor grill worked nicely. The bikes are single speed and fun to cruise around on. The beach is just over the dune and beautiful powdery white. Shell gathering is a major pasttime. The bedding was excellent quality, with a high thread count and very soft. Not something you normally think about, but WOW really nice.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
