Our family of 11 adults rented both units and were expressed with the craftsmanship and decor. We especially enjoyed the screened in back porch. The amenities were great with plenty of towels in the bathrooms complete with body wash. The kitchen had lots of utensils and even coffee, cream and sugar. A special treat was a delicious homemade chocolate pie baked by the owners mother! We all highly recommend this property for anyone staying in this area.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway.

We had an excellent stay at this lovely property. It was comfortable and beautifully furnished. We were seven adults in Kentucky for 3 days for a family reunion and stayed in Cabin 411. There was plenty of room for all of us to be together, and yet not be in each other's way! I would whole heartily recommend this Log Condo to anyone looking for accommodations in Lucas!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Glad you enjoyed. Thank you for staying with us!

Owner info

About the owner: I retired from the military and wanted to do something different. I got intersted in log houses from the 1800 era. I read foxfire books and became intriqued with the idea of building log houses. I rebuilt four 1800 era log houses and really enjoy working with old wood and materials from this era. There is something special about it. I had a crazy idea about mixing old and new materials. For me there is nothing more relaxing than a log house. I am delighted with the outcome and I am sure you will be as well.
Why the Owner Chose Lucas:
Rustic elegance! This is a newly constructed log house with a unique blend of new and old. Upstairs in unit #1 you will find 1800 era poplar floors reclaimed from old log houses, A unique blend of logs, stone and barn lumber create a perfect get-a-way. You won't find a more relaxing place to stay while you are visiting Barren River Lake or other local attractions. After your fun day you will be glad to arrive back to the relaxing comforts of your new home away from home.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
There are many places to stay. This is one of those places you will simply enjoy. There is something relaxing about log houses. This property has a unique mix of old materials of yesterday and the modern convenience of today. You will be amazed how the two work together and create a unique charm.
