  At first this cabin seemed pretty nice, the location was great and we were close to the lake. Ann the owner was really nice. I had to call her on our first day because when I took my small children to enjoy the beach after our 6 hour drive, we realized that we couldent enjoy the beach because there was what looked like a frat party (a bunch of drunk 20 somethings partying) but turnes out it was a memorial. So we just went back to the cabin to relax and have some dinner. But once we settled in we started to notice the place was pretty dingy, dirty floor mats/area rugs were spread out through out the house, dirty dishes were put away and mixed with the clean ones, used travel size containers were in the bathroom (Im talking half used mouthwash, tooth paste, old body wash, etc.), doors were dirty with dirt where hands have touched it many times over and over, the outside grill was caked with previously bbq'd remnants, BBqQ sauce from the people before us were still left on the grill. So the first night of our vacation I just area carpets out side and cleaned the house, did the dishes over again, just basicaly cleaned until we felt semi comfortable. Once I cleaned things were good, the cabin was in a great location and close to everything. So for the following few days we enjoyed our stay, until we had one day left of our stay. My husband was looking for one of my kids shoes, so he looked under one of the beds and came across what looked like an oppossim (or rather large rodent) tale under the bed. That was the last straw for me, we packed up early and left. Needless to say we wont be staying there again. If Ann gets a new maid then the cabin would be a wonderful place to stay, if the place was clean we definatly would have rebooked for next year.

  Owner response: We are sorry she had such a disappointing time. It's remarkable how people will give different opinions on their stay...the people who rented it before actually called us twice to thank us profusely for the opportunity to stay there. We are actually partners with 3 other people and I did not have a chance to really inspect the whole place before Jessica's arrival. I did not think to check the dishes, drawers and under the beds. Most of the other owners leave their shampoo,soap and toothpaste up there in one drawer specifically for such a thing..it was not as if it was out in the open. The opossum thing she found was ,in reality ,the antler from a toy animal that the other owners youngster has. I realize that the place needs paint, but to most people it has the "quintessential" Tahoe cabin atmosphere.
