I had never been to Key West before and looked all over trying to "figure out" where exactly to stay. I didn't want to be TOO close to Duval, but did want to be able to ride bikes there easily. The Key West Oasis was just right. It's on a quiet street, but you're close to everything. Also, the house and the "pool room" are just beautiful. The pictures online (although beautiful) just can't do it justice. The pool has a waterfall that is so relaxing and although the pool looks small, it is deep and there is plenty of room. Our friends stayed in the cabana room and were hesitant of the outdoor shower. It turned out that they loved it and I was a little jealous. :) The entire process was so easy! Kim sent me lots of insider's information and when I got there, Gary was there to greet us and give us any last minute information we needed before heading out to town. We ate and ate and ate, never having a bad meal. We tried to go to the places that wouldn't be considered touristy and found that Sandy's (super casual for a sandwich, breakfast or whatever) was awesome, Blue Heaven (heaven), Sarabeth's (delicious), Seven Fish (again, delicious) and Santiago's was the best meal we had. We also took a boat over to Stock Island for "Hurricane Hole" for lunch. This is just an outside bar/restaurant but the food was so good. Oh and we had drinks at Louie's Backyard and amazing dessert at BTS. After all this, and the "fun" of Key West, coming home to Key West Oasis was like a treat. It was so tranquil with the decorations, foliage and pool and couldn't have been cleaner. The only reason I don't want to give this 5 stars is so that I can keep it to myself! They will take great care of you!

Great for traveling with another couple

We had a wonderful time! The house is perfect for traveling with another couple! I didn't get a chance to write in the book. But we went deep sea fishing twice, Mike went diving, I did Bikrim twice and visited the Shakti yoga studio twice. We saw the cemetery, went to all the beaches and walked a ton! We cooked almost all our meals. I have Celiac disease and am vegan so eating out can be tricky. So we loved and used the heck out of the kitchen! We really liked the A & B Marina area. Alonzo's happy hour is hard to beat! And we loved the Conch House! The pool was a savior as we had many hot days (especially for us Minnesotans!) The house had all the amenities of home and then some! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

My husband and two teen daughters loved our recent stay in Key West. The home is furnished beautifully, with everything you need to relax and enjoy, including tons of extra towels, wash machine,etc. The pool is private and protected, which was a life-saver during the "record cold" weather we had while there. We walked to many places for food and fun, or drove a short distance. Tons to do. Great dining. We'd be back to this charming cottage in a minute!

This is my first time using VRBO, and I couldn't be more pleased. The home was within walking distance to all sorts of attractions/dining options. The home itself was nice, in a quite location, and provided you with plenty of privacy. Kim was very kind and quite helpful. There is also a lot of helpful information on places to visit in the house. The pool is a constant toasty 88 degrees and is secluded from the outside. I almost didn't want to leave the house to see the sites it was so nice!! It was fantastic. I couldn't recommend it more.

Key Oasis cottage is a hidden gem. The cottage was well-stocked and beautifully furnished. The exterior and interior design features were fantastic; especially the pool area with tropical fauna and little waterfall feature. Key West Oasis exceeded our expectations in every way! We look forward to returning to Key West Oasis in the future.

This is a beautiful house with a great pool area. The pool has a waterfall which just sets the whole garden/pool area off. House is nicely decorated. The second bedroom is in a seperate building which if traveling with another couple allows you to get away from one antoher if needed. The second bedroom has a shower that is attached to the bathroom but is outdoors, We had reservations about this before arrival but it turned out to be great. If you rent this house I don't think you will be disappointed. We will be renting it again. Owner was very easy to work with.

Tropical Paradise We arrived to a spotlessly clean home that exactly matched the owner’s description and photos, and more than lived up to the reviews posted by prior travelers. This was our first visit to Key West and we found the location excellent as well as easy to find. We walked to many of the attractions we wanted to see and yet had a home base removed from the hustle and bustle to escape to for relaxing afternoons by the pool. The pool is beautiful and heated to the perfect temperature as it was comfortable both on the cooler days we had as well as the days were the temperatures were in the low 80’s. The yard itself is a charming and private little oasis all on its own. It is obvious that Kim and Ron take great pride in the property and ensuring the comfort of their guests; the attention to detail and stocking of kitchen and linen amenities bears testament to their thoughtfulness. Indeed the only issue we had was deciding which bedroom we wanted to stay in as both the main and cottage bedrooms are equally delightful!

Came in January for a chill out 9 days in the warm gentle sun to avoid the worst of the winter's weather in the UK. Researched where in the world was 75C in January with low humidity and Key West did not disappoint. Key West Oasis is ideally located in Key West if you like walking. It is in a quiet residental area with a good supermaket 2 minutes away open 8am to 8pm. Higgs Beach 10-15 minutes stroll, similarly the quieter end of Duval street. Full ranges of restaurants from 2 mins to 30 minutes walk away. The beach in the Fort Zachary Taylor Historic Park is well worth a visit but took us almost a hour to walk. The accommodation itself is well layed out relocating the front pouch in the back yard overlooking a small but sufficient large a deep pool to swim in. Everything is finished to a high standard and lives up to its title of an Oasis. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will probably be returning.

We spent New Year's Eve and my 40th birthday here with my family and kids, and we had the best time ever! The pool is amazing, the house is perfectly set up - so stylish and comfortable. Want to come again!

Key West Oasis was the perfect place to stay for us. We had a hard time ever deciding to leave the comfort of Varela street, but when we did, downtown restaurants/bars were only a short bike ride away. The biggest decisions we had all week were whether to start each day with a Café con Leche or a Colada from Sandy’s. Incredible week, incredible property. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Key West Oasis as part of our Christmas holiday celebration. This is such a charming and comfortable home. The house is very well kept and exceptionally clean. The pool was so enjoyable, although it was December. Since it is a heated pool, the cool December evening weather was still enjoyable pool time! The house is furnished very attractively and the kitchen is well stocked with cookware and tools. The location is awesome! We reserved bike rentals before leaving home and we were in walking distance to pick them up the day we arrived. We rode bikes or walked our entire stay, no need to drive, find parking spots or pay for parking. Sandy's Cafe was also a plus... good coffee and cuban sandwiches. Gary, the property manager, was prompt in meeting us at the house to let us in, show us around, and answer any questions about the house and the nearby restaurants, stores, and such.I can't say anything about our house stay that was less than impressive and we can not wait to visit again!

We enjoyed a 5 day stay in this wonderful home and wish it could have lasted longer. We spent much of our time either relaxing by the heated pool or in it. The guest house was great for privacy and not disturbing those who want to sleep vs those who want to stay up. You're far enough away from the noise and commotion of Duvall Street, but close enough to walk there if that's your pleasure. There are many restaurants, of all types to choose from, within walking distance. I would recommend Camille's, Sarabeth's and Salute as three favorites. The pictures of the location are spot on. Kim was very helpful answering our questions and Gary greeted us at the door, provided great suggestions about the area and even answered our call at night with a question we had about the tv. I recommend Key West Oasis and would like to stay again, although next time, longer.

My 2nd time and not my last!!!! This was the perfect spot! Great space, beautifully decorated and so comfortable! For as relaxed and happy as we were at the house, the location was ideal for our outtings and adventures! Bikes, walking, and taxis are the perfect options. Thank you for such a beautiful and awesome place to stay...we will certainly be back for more fun and relaxation!!! (Take a look at the book inside for perfect recommendations!)

Amazing rental property

We had the pleasure of staying at this property for 5 nights 11/9-11/14. We had in mind a clean property that we could sleep at and be close to Duval st. We ended up finding majority of our vacation to be spent relaxing at this inviting and comfortable home. We walked into a spotless house, with a beautiful patio area, and private sleeping quarters. The pool area is unbelievable. You can tell the owners keep it well cared for and put a lot of effort in maintaining a tranquil and tropical ambiance. We found we were swimming in the heated pool (can feel like jacuzzi if desired) in the morning and late in the evening. It offered an environment to really enjoy the people you were traveling with opposed to rushing from activity to activity. Some days we even opted to cook on the Weber grill. When we chose to leave this property we were only a walk away from Duval st bars/restaurants or other great spots like Michael's restaurant and the beach. We really felt we had the best of both worlds. We loved seeing and being close to all that key west had to offer but we really appreciated our privacy and the amount of relaxing we actually got to do on this vacation. The rooms are perfect, two private spaces each with there own bathroom. The outside separate quarters is the best, my boyfriends parents picked that spot! The owners also leave binders with information on any and all interests, food, bars and activities you may need. We also loved having wifi. The kitchen has anything you need in it as well. There is also laundry if you need that. Really our group did not come across anything missing and we can be difficult to overly impress. We appreciate the great time and wonderful accommodations that key west oasis provided for us. It was a great price and gave us more than we expected.

Versatile Key West Oasis - A Family's Stay

My husband and I vacation in Key West each year with our two boys (ages 4 & 7). We have only chosen Key West Oasis since our first son was born. It is ideal for a family. Specious, relaxing and a heated pool. This is a vacation home not a vacation rental unit. It is stocked with towels and kitchen tools. It is not a unit with empty cabinets. It's loaded from many wine glasses to koozies to 10 frying pans of various sizes. The grocery store is a block away. Sandy's Corner - a cuban coffee/sandwich counter is heavenly. And, it is walkable to the whole town. But, far enough away for peace and quiet. Even more ideal would be brining along a grandmom or a babysitter who can stay in the back cottage. Enjoy.

Just returned from a great week at the Key West Oasis. The house was beautiful - even better than the pictures! Everything was clean and comfortable. The pool was perfect - a wonderful place to just relax. Loved the outdoor shower! The location of the house is close enough to Duval to enjoy the nightlife yet far enough away to be a sanctuary. I would recommend renting bikes to get around. Kim was very friendly, professional and prompt with all matters regarding the rental of the house. It was a very easy process! I would stay at the Key West Oasis again in a heartbeat! I highly recommend this property.

A true oasis in Key West

My wife and I and another couple were fortunate to stay at this rental for 4 nights in mid-August 2012. The description and pictures don't do it justice as the place was extremely clean, offered all the necessary amenities and then some. Furthermore, the location was perfect - far enough away from craziness of Duvall St., but easily accessible to that scene and all other attractions on the island. this brought an extra sense of security, which helped put the wives at ease. Kim, the owner, was great. Her recommendations were spot on and was readily available during the trip planning. Back to the rental, the separate quarters made it feel like each couple had their own sanctuary. Both were nicely equipped and decorated. And did I mention the pool? The pool was perfect! We spent many afternoon hours poolside, especially since the beaches had some strong odors of decaying seaweed. We all agreed that the pool was icing on the cake. Inthe end, the place was exceptional. Not only would I recommend it, I hope that we have another opportunity to stay here. It will be the 1st place I look up if/when we return to the Keys.

ALL GOOD ON ISLAND TIME at KW OASIS

I have business in Key West and travel there frequently. This property is exactly as the name states, it is an Oasis. Quiet neighborhood, plenty of parking. Entire property is very clean and homeshow quality. For any minor issue a persnickity person might find, there are 20 reasons to love this property. High end hotels are where we have stayed in KW in the past, but we will certainly stay here again at a lower cost. Kim the owner and Gary the property manager both very helpful. Sandys 24 hour coffee/sandwich shop is great and in walking distance. If you want to work out, KW Island Gym is a short walk over to White Street. They have top notch equipment. Do yourself a favor and plan on spending at least half your time at the home. It is that nice and relaxing!

My husband and I recently enjoyed a very pleasant stay at this wonderful cottage. It was our first VRBO and has set the bar high for future rentals! Kim, the owner, was so prompt, professional, and personable in all communications and provided a wealth of information regarding sightseeing, restaurants (including distances from the house), and travel tips. She even sent me a link to a Florida Keys Road Trip guide when I told her we'd be driving from Ft. Lauderdale. The house was exactly as pictured, and has been beautifully decorated and updated while maintaining the charming character of a historic Key West residence. We enjoyed staying in an Old Town neighborhood and feeling like locals for a few days. We parked our rental car on the street outside the house and walked everywhere during our stay. I particularly enjoyed afternoon dips in the tranquil pool. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that Gary, the property manager, was so helpful and put us on to some wonderful restaurants, including El Mason de Pepe. We also really enjoyed El Siboney, a very short walk from the house, and Pepe's Cafe. I surprised my husband with a birthday "Wind & Wine" sunset sail with Danger Charters (located at the Westin marina) and it was a highlight of the trip for us both -- so much fun! We would gladly stay here again if in Key West, and will recommend "Key West Oasis" to our family and friends.

Perfect...location, layout and KITCHEN!

I can't believe how smooth this trip went! From the great resources of the website (idea to fly into Miami and drive down was spot on!) to the chef's dream of a fully stocked kitchen! My dad loved the BBQ and my mom and I loved preparing everything else in this kitchen. Having the separate 'cottage' in the back for us to stay provided us with enough privacy that we each had our own space. Although we had a car, it was not needed! My husband and I rented bikes from the nearby shop and my folks loved to walk everywhere. Of course, the pool was the most loved spot. The place was clean, beautifully decorated and so well stocked with anything I could need (especially that kitchen)! I am already planning the next trip. We can't wait to go back again!!! I totally recommend Key West Oasis to anyone!!!

Thank you Kim. We had a wonderful time while on your island. Your home was everything I hoped it would be and in just the perfect location.Very romantic for a perfict anniversery. Gary was very helpful and an asset to your operation. We searched for a nice book to leave at your home to write our comments and adventures in to record our memories for you as well as your next guest sharing your home, as they could do the same when leaving after their stay. We just did not find one that my wife thought was suitable for your home but wish we could have. Maybe you can find one. Other than that I would not change a thing. Also take me there charters ( Tommy ) was recommended by Gary and is truly an asset to the area. We took his day excursion and was treated to a wonderful day on the water by a very nice and personable man who loves life as much as we do. Your home is in the perfect location and is perfect for two couples with the seperate rooms . Everything was so neat clean and fresh , we just loved it. We did a lot of walking talking eating drinking running through the rain, and just good old relaxing with one another to make a full and very enjoyable five days. Life is made of memories and the moments that you share .Life is to short to be miserable so I leave you with this. Live each day as if it was your last and speak to people as if you will never see them again as you never know what the rest of the day will bring to you.
