We totally loved this apartment. It was exactly as it looked in the photos. Beyond clean and functional. Everything has been thought of. the location is so convenient to I-5 and getting anywhere in the city in minutes. There is a little commercial area two blocks down the hill that was wonderful - we relaxed at the Eastlake Zoo Tavern, had wonderful breakfast and lattes at 14 Carrot Cafe, and bought our convenience items at Pete's Market. The bed was very comfortable and the TV with DVR was great for keeping up with our shows and comfortable to watch on the couches. The kitchen was awesome looking and the lighting was perfect. Good job William!

Working with the owner was very easy, right from the start. The condo was exactly as picured, perfectly clean, well designed and tastfully decorated. The bed was very comfy, the new washer and dryer was brilliant, even had soaps and fabric softeners. Even though we didn't need them, it was great to have some nice quality toiletry products supplied. The kitchen had everything we needed, even though we didn't cook there, I am a self trained chef, so I was nosy and checked it all out. :) I could have had most of what I needed to prepare a good meal there. The heating was fast and extremely efficient. The seriously large flat screen tv was a nice perk. My daughter and I walked everywhere we could, and took the bus which stopped just 1/2 a block away to the Univ. of Wa and that only took 3-4 minutes. We even walked to downtown for brunch and back along Lake Union. It was a good, long walk, but Seattle weather just begs for you to come outside and stroll!! We are all athletes in this family, and thusly huge walkers. Whenever we travel to a city we always pick a location where we can walk to most everywhere we want to go. This condo was 2 blocks off Lake Union, while there is no view, it didn't matter, as we were only inside at the end of each long day, tired and ready to rest. Being so close to the lake is wonderful and we loved coming out of the condo and seeing it shimmering with it's notorious floating homes and graceful sail boats drifting in it. There were several nice food choices just blocks away, and a good coffee shop, VOXX, just a block away. We had the perfect quick holiday at this condo, had a comfortable stay, all we needed was at our fingertips, and the rest within walking distance. The price is spot on, the owner responsive and obviously take pride in his condo's appearance for each and every guest. Thanks for a offering such a lovely, quality property at an affordable price!! Cheers!!!

William who is charge of this property was on hand to quickly repair a problem with the router. He completely replaced it within a day. The place was spotless and has everything you need from cooking to sleeping to entertainment. I'm very glad I stayed here.

This was my first time renting off of Home Away. I was a bit concerned on just how it would be coordinated but things went very very smooth. The Apartment was PERFECT! I can not think of anything that would have made this any better for me. I visit Seattle often. This apartment will be at the top of my list. I am only worried that this little apartment will become so popular that it will not be available when I need it!

I recently moved to the Seattle area and needed a place to stay while looking for a place. I am so glad that I found this wonderful place to call home for a month. Everything was just as shown in the pictures and I didn't need to bring anything in but my clothes. You all did a fabulous job in decorating and furnishing all the necessities. I lacked for nothing and enjoyed the comfy bed at the end of my busy days. The location is very convenient to UW and downtown. Thanks for making my first month here in WA a very memorable and welcoming time!

Everything was excellent. I echo many of the previous comments. The design, art work, linens, etc created an atmosphere much like a 5 star hotel, but with the comfort and privacy of an apartment. We were a bit concerned about noise when we arrived and saw how close we were to I-5 and a busy street, but once in the apartment we truly did not hear any street noise. It is cozy, quiet and comfortable, Parking on the property was easy to find - the wi-fi connection was good and all of the instructions provided made for a simple process and relaxing stay. Thank you - we will definitely stay here again as it is only a block away from where our son lives!

This is an outstanding property. I stayed here during our July 4th vacation, and arrived for a second vacation in late August for Labor Day weekend. I've been coming to Seattle for the last 4 years, and we've never stayed at a hotel, we prefer vacation rentals. We stayed at properties in Queen Anne, Madrona, and Capital Hill, but this property is by far our favorite. The location is first rate, really amazing. Great restaurants in an excellent East Lake neighborhood. Every amenity you can wish for is already in the apartment. I'm always impressed by the owners attention to detail, offstreet parking, washer and dryer, incredible kitchen and bathroom, Wi Fi, totally immaculate, spotless and super clean. Just a total top shelf experience. I've become spoiled, and refuse to stay anyplace else. Also...you will not find a nicer person than William (the owner). He is simply outstanding, great communicator, and immediate responses to any question that you may have. I am so impressed.

You were a wonderful guest.

The property was exactly as described by both description and pictures. Everything was in perfect order and beautifully appointed and maintained. As I was visiting family that lived in the area, it was a short dis trance for me to walk to their home. However, if one had a car, it would be convenient to both downtown and the university area. Also, it was a short walk to many restaurants, coffee shop and groceries (Pete's). The owner communicated promptly and was very accommodating. I definitely would recommend this property and would be happy to stay there again.

              Owner info

              Year Purchased: 1991

About the owner: I have been working with architects and designers for most of my professional life. This has given me an appreciation for all things that are well designed. For the past nearly 30 years, my wife of 31 years and I have raised three girls, here in Seattle. We love this city and constantly revel in its beauty. Weather permitting, we enjoy entertaining on our 1956 Chris Craft.

Why the Owner Chose Lake Union:
We have always thought the Eastlake area (the east side of Lake Union) was desirable because it had close proximity to downtown, the lake and the University of Washington. We have owned this building for over 20 years and are now offering this unit for a short term rental. We think the location is outstanding and should provide travelers an excellent base from which to explore.

The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
I have lived on a couple of houseboats in Seattle. The location of this apartment is a few blocks from that community. I enjoyed walking the docks and sitting on the waterfront, enjoying the activity on the lake. It is a truly unique experience, not approached anywhere else in the United States, possibly the world.
