This fully equipped two bedroom, two bath vacation home offers this and much more.The southern exposure provides an abundance of sunshine together with refreshing breezes. Stay up after sundown, find the Big Dipper among the multitude of stars, enjoy campfires and view the moonlit shimmering waters.If you get lucky, take in a display of the Northern Lights.
This lake home is a 1,160 sq. ft. end unit townhouse alongside a spacious meadow. Having only three other units in the building, it offers restful privacy. Walk down the new steps and dock to your mooring space/boat lift.
A knotty pine master suite is located on the upper floor with a new queen size bed, ceiling fan, walkout screened-in porch, closet, and full bath including washer and dryer.
The main floor includes one bedroom with two sets of bunk beds, closet, full bath, living room, dining area, kitchen and 20'x15' front deck. The vaulted knotty pine living room features a fireplace, skylight, sleeper sofa, couch, Direct TV and DVD/CD player. The kitchen is fully equiped with new stainless steel appliances: refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher (all 2012). A large charcoal grill is available for outdoor cooking. This newly carpeted vacation home is decorated with scenic artwork throughout with a special emphasis on wildlife and the beauty of sailing.
The Whitefish Chain is a superb destination for boating, fishing, swimming, and experiencing nature. Upper Whitefish, the westernmost of the 14 interconnected lakes, is one of the largest, quietest and least traveled, having less boat traffic than most others. The spacious Whitefish Chain includes the best of everything Minnesota lakes have to offer. If you are adventuresome ( and your boat has some speed), you may be able to take in all of them: Upper Whitefish, Arrowhead, Lower Hay, Clamshell, Bertha, Lower Whitefish, Trout, Little Whitefish (Pig), Island, Loon, Rush, Daggett, Little Pine,and Crosslake. Loons are in abundance ( we counted an amazing 125+ swimming together in groups of 20 to 25 on Lower Whitefish over Labor Day weekend in 2011). Eagles soar by regularily, riding the updrafts above the banks of Upper Whitefih's north shore.
Located just ten minutes from Pequot Lakes and only a few more from Crosslake and Nisswa, you are in the heart of the Brainerd lakes vacationland, well known for great golf courses, biking, hiking, restaurants, shopping, and antiquing plus a wide variety of activities and entertainment for families and children.

About the owner: The Whitefish Chain has been in our family's blood since we were young children: many years at camp and 15 more at a resort on Trout Lake. We head up north from our Golden Valley home every opportunity we have.
Why the Owner Chose Brainerd:
Many (including those who value real estate) agree with our opinion that there is nothing better in Minnesota than WHITEFISH. Our place is special for many reasons including its location only a few steps from the top of the south facing bank with a thirty foot elevation overlooking the entire expanse of Upper Whitefish.
