Designed by famed architect Stephen L. Ball - Malaya Manor, is an architecturally unique Moroccan Style Retreat nestled in the hills of the Coldwater Canyon corridor. It features a rooftop patio with canyon views, and various levels of the most exquisitely designed surroundings. Water fountains throughout the interior and exterior of the villa. Guests are insured of an unforgettable experience, especially with outdoor living spaces, with the summer evening breeze and fireplaces & fire pits overlooking the beautiful California starry nights.
Malaya Manor has been professionally interior designed by Maritess Villatuya owner of Malaya Home & Lifestyle Design. It is considered a hidden gem being a one-of-a-kind Moroccan Style Estate in the Los Angeles area.
The RED ROOM elevator is a conversation piece that takes you to each floor. Separate formal dining room that seats 12 people and separate kitchen area that seats 8 people with a wood burning fireplace. Perfect to entertain. Two media rooms- one called the Music Media Room with a 60' inch HD plasma television with Playstation 3. A fireplace, plus a stand-up beautiful black piano, perfect for musicians. Second is called the Game Media Room with a 52' inch connected with Wii & X-box, plus a wireless Karaoke microphone.
Each room has its own unique theme with exotic, asian touches throughout. The master bedroom has it's own private deck. A wood-burning fireplace under a new 42' Samsung Plasma T.V. that has a blue-ray connected to Hulu, Pandora, and many, many more apps. Surround sound system with an IPod dock. The master bath is done to have that spa like experience with luminated candles. The second bedroom/office has a queen size round bed with a large wooden bali desk. There is Wi-fi throughout the house and a wireless printer. The third bedroom is considered 'The Mardi Gras Bedroom' designed very uniquely eccentric & whimsical with a swing that is exquisite in itself. The most popular part of the house is the small lounge/play room area that is attached to 'The Mardi Gras Bedroom'. It can also have 2 - 3 people sleep comfortably. Really fun and nothing like it! The fourth bedroom, considered 'The Dungeon' only because it is a room that sits by itself with its own private entrance. A beautiful, unique asian desk that has a hidden chair attached inside, makes this room also used as a small office with also its own private area.
A gardner comes once a week and house keeping comes twice a week, unless you request for more days for an added cost. The location is 5 minutes to Beverly Hills, 20 minutes to the beach, 10 minutes to Universal Studios, 15 minutes to Hollywood. Fully alarmed to keep your belongings safe when you leave.
Since we will be traveling over seas and a property manager taking care of Malaya Manor, we are considering leasing our 2010 Black Mercedes Benz Sedan with a $50,000 Lorenzo Kit & a 2008 Black on black Escalade with 24 inch custom wheels. Proper insurance of tenants plus further discussion by phone to add to your experience of Celebrity Living.
The neighborhood is full of celebrities, with paparazzi sometimes in our front yard. George Clooney lives up the street and many more. Very serene and beautifully decorated that it is considered like staying at a 5-star resort.

This private venue has been a huge blessing for all our guests during our ministry events. We've had the opportunity to use this estate for various grand events, as well as intimate private functions such as bible studies and is the perfect indoor/outdoor venue for our private concerts. It's an extremely impressive home that provides a memorable experience for all our guests. We host events to serve our community in faith and love, and this serene private retreat is the perfect venue that grants us the ability to serve with excellence. We're privileged to have known about it for a few years because it's been our very own private retreat, but we're glad that many more will experience it's warm and serene atmosphere. It's perfect for families, vacationers, reunions, wedding related festivities, girls retreats, as well as private parties and corporate events.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We loved our stay here! This property has so much character. The owners were very helpful and were always available to us when needed. Perfect for families or groups.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: Having art, design, and architecture exposure at an early age, Maritess Arnold was born to have a creative career. Early in life she focused on developing her artistic talents on stage as an actress working in film and television in Los Angeles. After being called upon by her many friends eager to get her “take” on their unique space, “Tess” began to shift her focus to that of Interior Design. “Wonderful interior spaces take much thought and insight to achieve. The process is about taking a concept and bringing it to life…It is creating a lifestyle!” says Tess, “As an expression of a personality, and a form of communication, it is intended to evoke an emotion from the people surrounded by each space, which falls into perfect alignment with my interests and experience.” After working on several multi-million dollar homes in Los Angeles, Ms. Arnold decided to begin her own interior design company where she could utilize her creativity and extensive knowledge simultaneously. Her study of style is derived from her Los Angeles observations, trips around the world, and the unique influence of her native homeland of the Philllipines. Since opening Malaya Home & Lifestyle Design she has had the pleasure of designing and building many unique interiors, and spreading her enthusiasm for design and lifestyle. 'I feel God has blessed me with such amazing creative gifts to share with those who want to make a dramatic change in their lives.
