  We stayed out here for a weekend with a bunch of girlfriends and had one of the best weekends ever. The house was immaculate, very comfortable, well appointed, outstanding views, great "customer service" for the few questions we had upon arrival and we'll never forget it. THANK YOU!!

  Great weekend celebrating my wife's 30th birthday. We had 7 couples and everyone seemed to be very comfortable. Big grilled dinner and night around the fire pit. Beautiful views off of the porch. Very well supplied kitchen for large group.

  Five couples stayed at Bears Den for 2 nights and 3 days for a mid-winter getaway. The rooms were extremely comfortable and nicely appointed. The kitchen was well equipped, and with the gas grill we were able to prepare wonderful meals. We felt that there was plenty of room for everyone, especially with the 2 different levels and mulitple TVs. The game room and hot tub were very nice bonuses and we spent each evening playing pool, foosball and darts, watching movies or enjoying the hot tub. Unfortunately, it was too windy to use the outside firepit, which we also considered an unexpected perk. Bears Den is within easy reach of the Skyline Drive (with wonderful mountain hiking), skiing, canoeing and other outdoor activities. In every way we had a very enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to rent Bears Den again. The only thing we'll do different the next time is stay longer!

  Great Place!! We rented for a work retreat and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us. Clean, well maintained and furnished with all the amenities of home. We were able to get alot accomplished in a relaxed atmosphere and then enjoy some time playing pool and darts. We will definitely be back.

  My extended family recently spent Thanksgiving weekend at Bear's Den Cabin. Once we walked thru the door we all knew that this would be a place we would rent again and again. It is a beautiful place with plenty of room and things to do. While preparing Thanksgiving dinner we found that alot of things we had brought with us were not needed because the kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking supplies you could ever need. The master bath was a hit with the heated towel rack and heated floor. Made getting out of the shower on the cold mornings so much nicer. We didn't use the hottub this trip but did spend Friday night outside at the fire ring. The kids loved making hotdogs and marshmellows in the fire and once they were settled down for the night the adults sat around the fire having adult beverages and visiting. Very relaxing.We are already trying to figure out a weekend in the spring/summer that we can return to your wonderful mountains. Thanks you so much for sharing your fantastic home with us. You have given us memories I will treasure always. Till next time, The Keating family

  My husband and i took the family to the cabin. we all had the most beautifull time in their peacefull and comfy cabin. I will never forget. We have traveled a lot but never compare to this tranquility place. We love it, i think that it will be my favorite place for vacation. I want to thank you guys for everything.

  I booked the Bears Den for a family of 5 getaway following my husbands return after being out of the country for a long time. Thought a cabin in the woods would be perfect for the family to reconnect....and it was! The Bears Den offered EVERYTHING we were looking for--- luxury, space, affordability, entertainment, self-containment, and mountain getaway. We had 3 short days at the Bears Den but are already planning our return. Our days were filled by Luray Caverns, Massanutten Water Park and kayaking down the Shenandoah River....our nights were gourmet dinners, sitting on the back deck, lounging in the hottub and smores around the fire pit..... This property owners know what people want and give it to them! And the master bed!!! It was like sleeping on a cloud!!!! and for reasonable rates!! I can not say enough great things about the Bears Den.... Book your vacation there TODAY

  This cabin was wonderful - from the many bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds and the huge back deck with BBQ and rocking chairs to the awesome basement with couches made for napping and watching sports as well as pool and foosball tables. Fourteen ladies spent a fun-filled weekend relaxing in the hot tub (though not all at once), cooking up a storm in a well appointed and well organized kitchen, resting in beds with the softest sheets and plushest pillows, and kicking back on the porch watching the sun set. We never once felt crowded. The only downside was the charming bear we saw run away Friday when we got there came back for a visit on Saturday night. We weren't sure how close he or she was - but we heard some bear-like sounds that combined with our imaginations cut short our campfire. I hope to go back here again!

  I highly recommend this cabin to anyone interested in beautiful views, comfortable beds, and an appetite for exploration. This was a great location with privacy, the river nearby and a gorgeous sunset every night. We enjoyed the game room as well as the hot tub and fire pit outside where we roasted s'mores -it's not a cabin trip until you do ;)I would love to go back and hopefully will do!

  We found the Bears Den cabin to truely be everything it claimed to be. The cabin was clean and comfortable and we throughly enjoyed the experience. The recommendations for activities that we took advantage of "Captain Bo's Shenandoah River Cruise" and several of the local restaurants did not disappoint.
