The property, its parkland, infinity pool and extensive terraces are extremely spacious but we only accept a maximum of eight adults and children. For larger parties, younger children and/or pets, there is also the possibility of renting further luxury accommodation in a lovingly-restored farm concealed within the same grounds with its own pool. We really had a hard time to leave such a beautiful place - the house and garden that we fell in love with at first sight! From the moment we entered the gate, everything was a real pleasure. We were met by the owners, who are friendly, reliable and very service minded. The house is really something special - one of those properties that you normally only see in magazines. We love the mix between the old genuine style, and the contemporary parts like the kitchen and the bathrooms. In addition, we felt that the owners have thought about every single detail - fabrics, sheets, decorations - everything from color setting to using highest quality, both indoors and outdoors. The garden...wow...it takes your breath away! Not only the lovely pool and charming dining/hang out areas, but terraces, trees, flowers and decorations in a perfect harmony. We highly enjoyed this peaceful scenery, watching the endless view... We only had a minor problem - WE DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE...

From the moment we entered Villa du Parc we knew that we would have a wonderful holiday. The Hanson's were there to meet us, show us around, and give us wonderful suggestions of places to see and restaurants to eat at. The house itself is terrific. It is carefully plannned and tastefully furnished and if you are a cook, the kitchen is state of the art. Every detail is thought about and all our expectations were more than met. Tourettes-sur-loup is a lovely town within walking distance of the villa. The shop keepers, expecially the butcher and pharmacist, could not be nicer and more helpful and we found some of the restaurants delightful. There is no doublt that we would love to return.

Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Ok. This isn’t a cheap holiday but in our opinion it’s WORTH EVERY PENNY. We had a lousy spring in Reims where we live (not far from Paris) and we wanted better weather and a relaxing time. We were six adults and two kids. So, we split the cost between three couples. Also, we drove down to the villa (so no car hire or flights to pay for) but we know that it is in easy reach of Nice airport. Nowadays, easyJet makes it “cheaper than chips” to get down there and you should be able to find cheap car hire: try asking the owners to look for you. They’re really helpful. Anyway, Tourrettes-sur-Loup is a great place for a holiday. The South of France can be real pain in the summertime. The traffic on the coast is unbelievable. But just a short drive inland and you find a brilliant, tranquil location like this. And it’s got everything you need. Tourrettes is beautiful and unspoiled. Then, just ten minutes drive away is Vence; which also has a medieval centre and large supermarkets, etc. All the places you would want to visit are easy to get to from here and the driving is a lot easier because you’re not starting from the gridlock on the coast roads every time!! THE VILLA WAS EXCELLENT: extremely spacious and very comfortable. There were very spacious grounds but we spent most of our time around the large terraces and pool. Just a short drive (or walk) from the village centre (which is traffic-free apart from a small car park), you enter through an electrically-operated security gate and then the villa (invisible from the road) is down a nice winding drive. The entrance to the house is a bit like a chateau (check the photos on their website http://www.privilegedvillas.com) but the property is really comfortable and all the rooms face south with superb views all around. There’s loads of space, inside and out, and it’s fully equipped. The kitchen and bathrooms had just been completely renovated to a really high standard and the whole property was clean and beautifully decorated. In summary, a great villa, great location, great holiday. We can’t book for 2010, unfortunately, but we will be going back and next time we’ll be taking the grandparents. They’ll love it. They’ll also look after the kids!

Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

I stayed at this wonderful villa in summer 2009. It was great to arrive at a rental property which was even better than the photos promised! The villa is in a fabulous location because it’s in a small private estate with only two other properties and all three are prestigious and private. You are simply not aware of the other villas. The property is very “haut gamme” as they say in France. Every room is extremely spacious and each of the superb bedrooms has its own private and really well-equipped bathroom. The kitchen was a dream! It was like something from a designer magazine. Although really private and quiet, the villa is within walking distance of the incredible village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup because at the end of the road is a car park from which a regular shuttle bus runs to and from the village centre. All you have to do is ring the bell and it comes to get you straightaway! So, you can walk to the car park (about five minutes) or you can drive and leave your car in the car park. In any case, it’s only another five minutes’ walk to the centre of the village from the car park. And the village is great: excellent cafes, restaurants, etc. We’ve stayed on the Riviera before but this was the first time we’d found a place which was quiet but still perfectly placed for the whole of the Cote d’Azur. Tourrettes-sur-Loup is a real find: in our opinion, prettier and quieter than Saint Paul.

Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
