A beautifully furnished two story single family home nestled in a tropical garden on a peaceful beach with few footprints. Enter the first story through a screened lanai with stunning views for al fresco dining and relaxing. The first floor includes the living room with ocean views, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, a guest bedroom with two twin beds, a full bathroom, walk-in closet, and laundry room.
The second story features a luxurious master suite with private screened porch and king bed overlooking the Caribbean sea. Panoramic views of beach and turquoise water start your day and the stars and lights across the North Sound lull you to sleep. To complete your experience, this master suite is equipped with a jacuzzi tub, a tiled shower and chairs for lounging. Another second story guest bedroom includes a screened porch with sunrise views over the water, queen bed and full bath. All bedrooms have large walk-in closets.
Downstairs walls of sliding glass windows open to welcome gentle breezes and to entice you outside for cocktails at sunset. The adjoining fully-equipped kitchen allows you to prepare a simple snack or complete meal while still enjoying all the pleasures of paradise.
The Gardens of the Kai are an intimate group of privately owned houses directly on the beach, with gorgeous sunset views, and a fresh water pool set in a tropical garden.
It is located a short walk from the Kaibo Yacht Club providing you with a beach meal or drink or an adventure in fine dining. A short drive or bike ride away is Rum Point for further sea adventures and dining options. The water is protected by a reef to provide swimming and gentle lapping waves on the beach, which is exclusive to condo owners/guests. No need to reserve a beach chair here. Just pick out your favorite palm and relax while listening to bird songs and gentle breezes.

The house is on a beautiful beach with open views. Grassy sea bottom. We saw several very large starfish close to shore. The owner has not paid attention to detail in a long time or just does not care. Many of the blinds are broken and/or malfunctioning. A large blind for the sliding glass door in the master is completely missing and we had to tack a sheet up for privacy every night. A large amount of tiny ants were marching back and forth between the master air conditioner and a closed window. Plaster around the same air conditioner is chipped away so there are small openings between it and the wall. Ants also in kitchen. The windows are crank style opening and a lot of the cranks were broken throughout. Paint was peeling from around many ceiling light fixtures. The fitted sheets on the extra thick mattress in the master were not deep enough and would not stay on the bed. Pillows on all beds left a lot to be desired. A metal brace on the two seater slider in the screen room was broken so it could not be used. Some wall light switches broken. Several ceiling fans noisy, wobble and all need cleaning. The downstairs bedroom had a very musty odor. Only one older bike supplied and no kayaks at all. The Gardens complex are a beautiful group of homes.Did you find this review helpful? The condo was furnished as described and very homey throughout. AC functioned properly throughout the unit. Charcoal grill is available with unit. Shop in Georgetown for your groceries, very limited grocery food vendors near the unit. The Restaurant at Rum Point serves food, but nothing fabulous. The Kaiko Yacht club is walking distance and has better food than Rum Point, but still not fabulous. We drove to the Botanical Gardens and spent 1/2 the day there - did the Blue Iguana tour with the Warden at 11 am - amazing! Extremely informative! Definite highlight. Snacks available - but bring something more substantial to eat in the grove by the lake. We took a glass boat tour at Rum Point with Red Sail Sports for $50/adult to the sandbar for the stingrays and snorkeling at the coral gardens - 1.5 hour tour - perfect! Went to Pedro Castle - disappointing - castle is a misnomer. Historic but not worth the $10 cover charge. Spent a day in Georgetown on the submarine tour and visit to the turtle farm (it's changed a lot since 10 years ago). Kids enjoyed those outings. Regrets - eco kayak tours of the mangrove and bioluminescence night kayak tours were not available for the month of October - would have loved to go on these and leverage our location. CONS: The hotwater for showers and baths were on the colder-side. Perhaps, resolved by having property management dial-up the heat on the locked hot water heater. Wireless internet password is not published anywhere in the unit - ask at the property management for the password if you need internet access to the outside world. Bring a hairdryer (none supplied), buy paper towels, toilet paper, soap, salt & pepper at the store ahead of time. The unit was serviced on Tuesday & Thursday with limited toilet paper and hand soap supplied. Half of the electrical plugs were dated/weathered and would push into the wall when you wanted to plug something in - but that's the effects of the salt air at the beach. The ocean off the unit is grassy mangrove and not the same coral seabed at Rum Point 2 miles up the road. We spent more time in the water at Rum Point for the snorkeling. Unit is furnished with a single bike - could use a kayak to paddle over to Starfish Point. It's off season so construction work was commencing on the unit next to us - sidewalk being poured, wetsaw being used on tile, construction vehicles filled up the small car lot everyday but Sunday.Did you find this review helpful?
