Holly House, which was completely renovated in 2012, is located in in one of Missoula’s most desirable neighborhoods nestled between Mount Jumbo and Greenough Park. This versatile house is perfect for large family gatherings or even business retreats, yet comfortable and cozy for just a couple. Convenient to both the University of Montana and downtown (about 1 mile from both), this unique three bedroom, two bath home will impress you with its comfort and style. It boasts an open floor plan, in-floor radiant heat, beautiful woodwork, maple floors, and a fully appointed cook’s kitchen with stainless steel appliances, custom cabinets and granite countertops. Enjoy morning coffee on your covered front porch or the great back deck, where you can gaze up at wildlife, hikers, and para-gliders on Mount Jumbo.
Kid-friendly, without sacrificing style, the house can sleep 8-10 people. The open floor plan makes it easy to accommodate very large groups for meals. Extra tables and chairs create the perfect set up for a family gathering or group meeting. The large private master suite has a king-size bed, and a lovely master bathroom with custom cabinets, marble tile, and a large walk-in closet. The second spacious bedroom has a queen-size, as well as queen-size pull out couch and great views of Mount Jumbo and the garden. The third bedroom provides two comfortable twin-sized beds. There is also a beautifully tiled full bathroom. All towels, linens, and soap are provided.
Kids will particularly love the loft, which has two skylights that look out on the mountain and two twin beds. A great selection of children’s books awaits as does a TV with cable and DVD player, an array of family friendly DVDs, and cozy beanbags. This house was designed by parents with the needs of family in mind. On warmer days a free standing air conditioner will keep the loft comfortable. There is also a window A/C unit in the dining area that cools the main floor.
Eclectic modern art adds character to the house. The open floor plan includes a dining area, as well as a cozy living room with flat-screen HD TV and DVD player. There is also wireless internet access, and telephone with free long-distance. Finally, there is a laundry room with brand-new front-loading washer and dryer (and laundry soap), plus an ironing board and iron.
This house is sure to please year-round. You will feel part of Missoula’s friendliest neighborhood close to wonderful playgrounds, magical Greenough Park and Rattlesnake Creek. Hike or bike to the University, downtown to the farmer’s markets, enjoy the wonderful selection of shops, coffee-houses, restaurants, and art galleries. Hike up Mt. Jumbo, or Rattlesnake Wilderness. Take the kids to the Missoula Children’s Museum, Mobash skatepark, or a swim in the Clark Fork River. In the winter, enjoy skiing at nearby Snowbowl, or a number of local cross-country ski-areas. An endless number of day trips will round out a great vacation is the Garden City.

We travel all around the state for ski racing, and always stay in a VRBO home. The Holly House was by far the best place we have stayed this season! The owners were helpful and thorough, and even left the lights on for us. It was very clean and comfortable. Next time we are in Missoula, we will stay here.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Holly House while visiting Missoula to visit relatives. It was the perfect spot for our family of 6! All the amenities of home (a newly renovated home!) awaited us, the owner was such a gracious host and the location was ideal. The listing is complete with every detail and fabulous pictures. We will absolutely stay again and hope to plan another trip soon!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We rented Holly House for a family vacation to visit my son who is attending the University of Montana. We had 6 adults and 3 babies in tow and the experience was simply perfect. Erin was so thoughtful throughout the process - communication was frequent and excellent and she went out of her way to make certain that our stay would be a success. The house is just a marvelous spacious place to come together as a family if you are visiting Montana. The neighborhood has hiking trails easily reached on foot and there is a “world class” playground a short ride from the house. The house itself is just a gem with a perfect layout for being close together but having sufficient space to go to your room for some down time when you need it. Our experience could not have been better and I can recommend Holly House without hesitation to anyone thinking of spending time in Missoula.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.
Owner response: Look forward to seeing your family again! Come in the summer -- so many fun things to do with little kids in Missoula!

Our stay at the Holly House in Missoula was delightful. The house is beautiful and in addition to some nice architectural and historic touches, Erin greeted us with locally roasted coffee, a gift certificate for local ice cream, and suggestions and directions to places to find what we needed in Missoula. Erin was very flexible, easy to reach, and accommodating when it came to making the reservation. We comfortably slept 8 adults in the house and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, the easy access to downtown, and the nearby trails for an early morning run. We would definitely consider staying again in the future. Thank you so much Erin!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: I am so glad that you guys had a good stay! Come see us again!

We were in Missoula for our niece's wedding and loved staying at Holly House. We had family members coming and going and slept 7 comfortably. Everything in the house seems to be shiny new: linens were perfect and everything in the kitchen we needed. Also, the artwork and interior design was so interesting; our whole crowd was interested in how the house got remodeled so nicely. And Erin next door was extremely helpful. We'll definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
Owner response: Glad you enjoyed the house! Look forward to seeing you guys again!

I loved our stay at this house in Missoula. Its so close to downtown and has a beautiful mountain in the backyard! You can see elk, deer and other wildlife from the backdeck. You can walk to the river or downtown. The rooms are spacious and the beds are super comfortable. Its clean and nicely finished inside with all the things you'd want for your vacation stay. Loved it and we will be back!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Great Place to stay. I have nothing but good things to say about this house, from the location, to dealing with Erin, to the beautiful house itself. The finish and layout of the house are great, and the rear deck was awesome for morning coffee. The only draw back is that the house is so nice it makes it hard to leave and go see Missoula.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Glad you enjoyed the place! Hope to see you Canadians again!

To those of you looking for a beautifully decorated, modern yet cozy mountain home away from home for a weekend or more... THIS IS THE ONE!!!! My family and I rented this place for Labor day weekend and it was fantastic!!!! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! We were even visited by three precious white tail deer in the mornings and a little mountain mist! Soo magical! Also, the owners live next door and they were beyond hospitable and welcoming! They left us some locally roasted coffee and a gift card for ice cream to make us feel at home!! All in all a wonderful mountain town trip and we WILL DEFINANTLY STAY AT HOLLY HOUSE AGAIN! IT WILL BE THE ONLY PLACE WE THINK OF WHEN WE RETURN!! THANK YOU HOLLY HOUSE!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We stayed at this property over a holiday weekend and absolutely loved it! There were a total of 5 adults and we all fit perfectly, with some room to spare. The house has nice upgrades, feels open and spacious, with lots of natural light, and has a super cute backyard, where you can watch the deer eat! The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were newly remodeled. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Montana!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks so much! It was great having you guys at the house! We'll see you next time!

From the moment I pulled up, I named this house the little red mansion in the woods. It was truly PERFECTION !!! It was sooo cute, sooooooo clean, sooooo cozy and soooo perfect !! The house had so much character it definitely felt like home. The beds were HEAVENLY... better then my bed at home and cozier then any 5 star hotel I have stayed at which have been quite a few. I felt like I was in heaven every time I put my head down to sleep. This house had EVERYTHING you could possibly need.... the owner really has thought of it all... There is not one thing I needed that I couldn't find. By the way I am EXTREMELY OCD with cleanliness and this house was spotless... SPOTLESS.. I was sooo happy when I walked in at how clean the bathrooms, rooms, kitchen etc was. It has the most adorable deck that we used to sit and watch the Mama deer and its baby deer out from our backyard from. I mean it can't get better then that !!! And the owner leaves you instructions and directions for everything plus a Big Dipper gift card to go enjoy some delicious ice cream with.. how sweet !!! When we come back.. this is the ONLY house we will ever stay at... I miss it already !!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Wow! What a review! Pople are going to think I paid you to write all of that! Thanks so much! I look forward to your next visit!
