Lake Whatcom Waterfront Executive Home, Kayaks and Dock, Wifihdtv

This is one of the finest properties on Lake Whatcom. Located on 2.5 secluded acres, this home offers stunning views up the length of Lake Whatcom. With 240 feet of waterfront and a sturdy year-round dock, this is a home for the water enthusiast. South Lake Whatcom is much quieter and less congested than the North side of the lake. There is no road between this property and the lake, yet there are hundreds of acres of hiking trails just across the street. Built in 1979, this gorgeous, 5,150 square foot home offers plenty of space yet retains the comfortable feel of a cozy cabin. This home is just minutes from the Skagit Valley Casino, Raceway, and Wildwood Resort. Bellingham is 20 minutes away and Mt. Baker (great skiing, snowboarding and hiking) 55 minutes away. There are three bedrooms on the upper floor (3 pillow-top kings) as well as an additional 'library' space. On the main level, there is an additional bedroom with one twin and one full-sized bed. The lower level has two bunk beds (twin top/full bottom). The lower level also has a full size air-hockey table, a ping-pong table, dart board and large HDTV.

We stayed in this house for my brother's wedding in Bellingham. The owner, Lars, was very responsive and easy to work with. We had three families of five and Grandma and Grandpa staying here. Each couple had their own room and there were still two bedrooms for the kids to share. The beds were very comfortable. Many were brand new. The owner just completed a remodel and we were very happy to be the first guests to try the new beds, towels, bedding, and washer and dryer. The kids all enjoyed the ping pong table. The kitchen was big and accommodated our large party very well. It was a great experience and I would definitely come back and/or recommend this house to friends.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

Sorry for the delay in reviewing but I thought I did upon returning home but on second look, it appears to have gotten lost in cyber space… Anyway, we rented the property for our Family Christmas retreat. There were 12 of us all together and everyone had a fabulous time and the house and view were absolutely beautiful. We had a large mix of ages from 4–81 years old and a good time was had by all. There was plenty of space to sleep and between football in the living room and air hockey, ping pong and darts in the basement, there was plenty to occupy what ever everyone wanted to do. We talked about going into town or driving up to the boarder but after arriving, it was so relaxing we didn’t really leave the house. The kitchen was well equipped and accommodated all cooking needs. Great quality pots, pans, utensils, appliances and dish settings. My only missing would have been a second refrigerator. We all brought not only several days of food for 12 people but also all the fixin’s for Christmas dinner and had to get creative to cold store it all. None the less, it in no way prevented us from enjoying the property and having a great time and a great holiday dinner. The beds were comfortable and the bedding and linen were newer and very plentiful. There were also plenty of extra blankets, pillows, and towels. There was plenty of seating for the large group both in the kitchen/family area as well as the living room which worked well for movie night. The owner was very accommodating and extremely easy to work with through out the reservation process and stay. He was also very prompt in contacting us upon our departure to ensure that our stay was satisfactory. There was mention from many that we should look to come back in the summer and enjoying the lake a little more.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house is amazing. The large is very spacious; We were a large group and we all fit comfortably the whole stay. This house combines luxury, convenience and beauty. It has an amazing view and it offers everything you might need in terms of entertainment. Very beautiful location and very convenient price. If you live in greater Seattle area it is only about 1.5 hours away so you can go and come back during the same day if you need to. There is a small shop 10 min away if you need some groceries and the town is 20 min away for more elaborate shopping. The house itself is great and we loved it!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My friends and I decided to get away for a few days and spend New Years eve all together in a place not too far from where we live, but yet not too close. Luckily, we found this fantastic property online. Where do I start? The house was simply amazing, it had everything we wanted and more. We were 12 people, a combination of couples and singles in our mid 20's and early 30's. The house had enough bedrooms to sleep everyone, and we could have easily had 8 more people sleep between the basement and the bunk beds. The location was great because it's relatively remote but not too far from grocery stores. The house is surrounded by trees, and we were able to go hiking around the house as well. The area is beautiful and scenic, there's multiple rivers and hiking trails and the view from the house itself is just gorgeous. The kitchen was fully equipped with anything and everything you need. We cooked all 4 days, and did not feel that there is a missing utensil. From coffee makers to blenders to pots and pans to cutting boards, you name it, it's all there. The living room has an awesome wood fire place that we used, with high ceilings and a TV with a stereo system that can be moved around. The dining room was already set-up to dine 10 people, and the house was clean and ready with towels and comforters and everything we needed for our stay. The basement had another TV, Ping-pong table, Darts, Air Hockey, and two bedrooms. How much more entertainment does a group need? This place just had it all. We had a minor clog in the bathroom, the hired maintenance guy arrived within less than half an hour, fixed the problem immediatly and made sure we got everything we needed. The landlord is extremely kind and makes the process so simple and easy, and is really ademant about ensuring all the guests have a good time. In summary, we did not want to leave. I would love to stay in that amazing property again, summer or winter, because there is so much to do in either season. There is not need to leave the house if you bring all the grocery you need with you, and you will never get bored! Thanks making New Years 2013 a memorable one.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were a large group of adults that rented this house for Canadian Thanksgiving. The property was exactly as described and clean on arrival. One of the things I loved most about this place is the outdoors area. It is a waterfront property with a large patio overlooking the lake. There are 2 kayaks and 2 small floating boats available for use. On the downstairs level you'll find a ping-ping and air-hockey table which is great for keeping a group of semi-hyperactive young adults busy. The owner Lars is very accommodating, friendly and easy to deal with. We had a great stay and I will definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet retreat.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This property was fabulous for all age groups... from a 1 year old to a 70 year old. We just received thank you notes from our grandsons and they thought the Air Hockey, Ping Pong and the Kayaks were, in their words, AWESOME and soooo much fun. I thought the kitchen was very complete with lots of pots, pans and dishes. I liked how the sliding glass doors were a big help in keeping our one year old grandson safe. The view was breath taking and I would recommend this property to anyone. The owner was very helpful in answering all our questions and concerns. Stop by the Cliff House Restaurant and order their Whiskey Crab Soup...delicious. We want to rent this home again next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

House was fantastic. Beautiful location. Spacious. Fast Internet. Great host in Lars, who was very helpful and prompt. Negatives are nitpicks only: the little air hockey pucks fly off too easily, and the TVs are HD, but don't receive an HD signal.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with young children.

As a final end of summer outing with our boat, and in order to include some back to school shopping, I set out to find a house on Lake Whatcom and through VRBO I was lucky enough to find this fabulous house!! Because the house was so large with lots of bedrooms and because we were reasonably close to home (about 2 hours), my husband and I were able to invite both our parents, and a few other family members. The basement was perfect for our teenagers as they had their own space with a large TV, ping pong table and air hockey table and they were far enough away that we, the adults, did not need to hear them unless we wanted to go and join them. The kitchen was a hit with everyone as there was room for all to work around the large island and it was very well stocked, which made food preparation fun and easy. Some of the appliances were brand new and everything worked great. The bedrooms were all large and spacious with luxurious beds and linens. The house was very roomy and there was a quiet spot for anyone who wanted it, just to sit and gaze at the view or read a book. The living room had lovely leather couches and floor mats with back rests, which were well used during our family "Catch Phrase" nights. The view of the lake was spectacular and is now our desktop screensaver. The dock was well used and the perfect fit for our boat. Our teenagers thoroughly enjoyed the lake and even perfected their ski pyramid during our stay. The house was the perfect location as we were able to go to Bellis Fair Mall and the Outlet stores for back to school shopping. This was my first time booking through VRBO and I was a bit anxious, but the owner, Lars, was very cooperative, easy to reach for answers to all my concerns. Our whole group had a fabulous time in the perfect house on the lake and we would love to rent it again in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, girls getaway.

Rented this home for a work retreat. Worked perfect for our needs. Had plenty of room for people, prepping and serving food, entertainment options, etc. Kitchen was stocked well, we brought paper products but we new we would need to use them. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of batch towels provided. Highly recommend this house for large groups or families. If renting in summer months, make sure to bring the water toys to use on the lake. We had jet ski's which was perfect!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
