Over 1300 square feet! Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck under a large pecan tree or relax on the open, front porch. Barbecue in the spacious backyard and enjoy the open-air patio. Everything you need to be your home away from home! Just bring a change of clothes.
The Downtown Tietze Haus is within walking distance of downtown shopping, and restaurants. Schlitterbahn is just down the street. The Comal River Outfitters are just on the other side of downtown from the house. Guadalupe Outfitters are just 5 minutes away. There are many other nearby attractions such as Landa Park and its swimming facilities. The Tietze Haus is located behind the Civic Center and Chamber of Commerce.
The owner of the Downtown Tietze Haus is a direct descendant of the Tietze family who settled in New Braunfels in 1852, after the original settlement arrived in 1845. Returning home from France after World War I in 1919, Ernest Tietze had this home built for his new bride in 1921, where they lived the rest of their lives.
The Downtown Tietze Haus has recently received an historic designation from the City of New Braunfels! |
