You'll love our grand 1900 "Edwardian Vernacular" home that has been lovingly restored to preserve its historic charm, while offering modern comfort and luxury. A 20 MINUTE WALK to the PEARL STREET MALL, (and away from the strip malls and congestion of east Boulder), our home is nestled next to the mountains, and surrounded by some of Boulder's most beautiful properties. In fact, many of Boulder's world class athletes love to train on Kalmia because of it's beauty, running the length of our street which butts up to the Sanitas Mountain Range. This condo is the entire second floor of the home, with over 1,000 square feet, two private and separate entrances and a deck overlooking our large, spacious lot. Deer visit frequently! You can walk to the Pearl Street Mall in just 20 minutes, go up the street and access the vast network of Boulder trails, and enjoy Lucky's Bakery, natural food market and diner also a short walk away. (Lucky's is a favorite in Boulder, a hidden gem known mainly to locals.) Our home offers plenty of space and privacy, with a large kitchen, great natural light and original artwork by local Colorado artists. The kitchen is spacious and well furnished with everything you need. We like to cook, so we've furnished it with the kinds of cooking tools we'd use. Light and bright with north and west windows, our gourmet kitchen has a table for six, a full size refrigerator and a dishwasher. The living room has a comfortable seating area, with French doors that open out to the deck. Off of the living room is small office space. Of course, we have a dedicated modem and wifi, and we provide local programming, as well as roku and streamed internet tv. There is also a LG stackable washer and dryer for your convenience.
So Close to So Many Fun Things to Do! We love riding our bikes to Chatuaqua/Chatuaqua concerts (a cultural attraction and park with beautiful views), or to the downtown farmers market. You can pretty much ride, walk or take the bus to everything else there is to do: movies / performances at the Dairy Center, Wednesday free concerts at the Pearl Street Mall, exploring the beautiful University of Colorado campus, or riding up one of the canyons or the loop through Marshall....
Closer to home are great amenities like the local home-grown grocer, Lucky's Market, the state-of-the-art North Boulder Rec Center, and, of course, more great restaurants: like Lucky's Diner, frequented by locals. There is also a cosy liquor store that has free wine tastings on Fridays. We love our historic guesthouse with its iconic diamond windows, interesting angles and original fir floors. It is located in a very desirable Boulder neighborhood that has a rural feel, but is within a 5 minute drive downtown. Our property is located at the edge of the Rocky Mountains, 6 minutes from downtown Boulder and just a 40 minute drive from DIA. At the top of Kalmia, our street, you can access trailheads that will connect you with miles and miles of hiking and have breathtaking views of the Front Range. We are on the busline and on a major biking, walking and running route. So enjoy the beautiful outdoors by walking up the street or renting one of the 'B' cycles at a station just up the street.
Boulder is also known as a great 'foodie' town and there are many well-known eateries within minutes of your stay here. Some of our suggestions:

About the owner: Steve Metcalf and Lynne Charles are a husband/wife team who have managed to both renovate several historic properties and keep our marriage intact. Not an easy feat.
We love travel, gardening, art, history, biking, hiking and culture of all kinds. Our travel has inspired our creativity and given us all kinds of ideas on how to make our properties comfortable and beautiful for our guests.
Why the Owner Chose Boulder: We love Boulder and it's connection to the University and nature. We love historic homes and believe that preserving them preserves history and provides a window into the past. We have preserved several other homes in the Denver area and couldn't believe that anyone would think of tearing this one down. We have both lived in Boulder years ago, and purchasing and restoring this home gave us an opportunity to reconnect and enjoy Boulder's vast network of hiking and biking trails and it's great restaurants!
