If you’re looking for a high quality family oriented vacation rental, with fabulous ocean views of the Gulf and San Juan Islands from almost every room, quick access to sandy private beach – look no further! Welcome to Waters Plat – a charming neighborhood on the south side of Point Roberts, WA. Our home is one block away from the privately owned Waters Plat section of “South Beach”, and as our guests you have full access. South Beach is renowned for its wonderful sandy beaches at low tide – perfect for playing bocce or Frisbee, or flying kites.
Point Roberts is a quiet sea-side community approximately 5 minutes from Tsawwassen BC and the ferry terminal to Vancouver Island. It is 30 minutes from the Vancouver airport, and 45 minutes from downtown Vancouver. It is a very popular location for weekend cottagers given the proximity to Vancouver. If you are travelling by air, you have the choice of Vancouver International Airport, Bellingham International Airport (45 mins) or SeaTac International Airport (3 hrs). Point Roberts is home to a world class marina and golf course, along with other local services for the vacationer (two restaurants, bike rentals, parks & walking trails, coffee shop, retail shops, grocery store, etc.). We often have whales in the area, and there are lots of eagles soaring high above the ocean shores to remind you that you are someplace special, yet so close to the amenities offered by neighboring Vancouver.
Top Floor:
All three bedrooms are located on this level. The master suite is ocean facing – wake up and look out the large windows to see the sailboats right from the comfort of a high quality king size bed. This room has a luxury ensuite with large frameless glass shower, steam sauna, jetted tub and heated floors. The second bedroom is “dual master”, faces the ocean, and contains a three piece ensuite including a 1920’s original claw foot soaker tub. The third bedroom has a queen bed and is located next to another three piece bathroom.
Main Floor:
On the main floor, the home has two separate living rooms (both with HDTV’s and satellite TV), dining room, mud room, half bath and kitchen. The recently renovated kitchen includes all high quality stainless steel appliances including a 36” Dacor gas range- great for those who enjoy cooking. From the see-through kitchen, you can see the ocean and sunsets as you cook, and you access the backyard and BBQ area from the kitchen. Also on this level is the office/bonus room. The main living room also has a high quality Bassett pullout sofa for an additional sleeping area.
Patios:
Our home has three separate patio areas. At the front of the house, the newly constructed dual decks offers a total of 1100 square feet (550 sq. ft per level). You will be drawn to the upper deck for the superb views and the comforts of the new patio set and dual lounge chairs. The patio is absolutely sun drenched and this is where our family spends most of our time on those hot summer days. Sit back, bring your iPhone/iPad or other supported device and control the wireless Sonos Music System to stream music on the patio while taking in the views and the sun. The lower deck offers another patio set and is perfect for morning breakfasts or when you prefer to get out of the sun but still enjoy the water views. In the backyard, there is a rock patio where the Weber BBQ is located along with a family sized picnic table for convenient outdoor dinners next to the grassy areas.

We were a group of 10 down for 2 days for a Stag. The place is amazing. Immaculate in every way, they have thought of everything. Tons of space, beautiful yard and view and just a quick beach walk to a great restaurant, The Beach House. We were all so impressed. I will deffinitly return. Kerry was a pleasure to work with, made things easy right from the start. Thanks so much! Our family of five rented Kerry and Scott's beautiful home in the Point for a month. We felt so comfortable from the moment we arrived. The house was set up perfect for all of us. There was enough room for everyone and even a crib and highchair for the baby. This house was wonderful for entertaining, we had our family over for a birthday dinner and the layout was fantastic. The place was clean, and had everything and anything we needed. The beds were so comfortable and the master bath was AMAZING. We all loved the steam shower! What a quiet and peaceful place. Tons of wild life and the view from the 2 decks was breathtaking. We went for a walk everyday to the beach and visited the horses down the road too. We would say that this was by far the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. We really wished it was ours......We loved everything about this house.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

It was a challenge locating a property that would fit my family of 8 but I found the perfect fit...The Point was a fantastic choice for our girls weekend getaway! Working with the owner Kerry was a pleasure. She made sure we were looked after well. The home is beautifully renovated...comforts of modern living mixed with old charm. The house is spacious, clean and well stocked. Our family loves cooking and when you are there, there is no need to worry about kitchen utensils/pots etc as the home has it all! The beds were comfortable, the rooms are generous and the property is great for family activities. Proximity to a private beach is also within a short walk...it was my Grandma's favorite hang out :) Thank you Kerry and family for making our short weekend sweet and rejuvenating! We just spent five days in beautiful Point Roberts. The house was gorgeous and family friendly! We enjoyed the views from both decks, the quick walk to the beach, bbqing on the back patio, and cooking in the nice kitchen. It took us only 30 minutes to get to downtown Vancouver for a fun day trip. We look forward to coming back again - next time with family or friends since this big house will fit them!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

My family and I thouroughly enjoyed our stay here. Lots of room and the property itself was fantastic, well kept and clean. It was also a very family friendly place with lots of toys for my son and a crib as well. Kerry was great at getting back to me quickly when I had any questions or concerns and was very accomodating. I would recommend this property to anyone who has a large family or group stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers.

I can not say enough good things about this house - the owners did not exaggerate in their description! It has been beautifully renovated with a lovely kitchen, luxurious bathrooms (we all died for the steam shower!), comfortable beds, and huge patios for dining outdoors. You have to love a home with the character of the old days but new furnishings and appliances. With so much space we easily fit our whole family of 8 and never had to wait on a bathroom! The owners were extremely nice and so easy to rent from. They provided all the basics we needed to enjoy our trip - from linens down to kitchen utensils - and had the house spotlessly clean. It made the trip easy and very convenient. We had too much sunshine to stay in but if the weather was rainy there was plenty to do in the house. The beach down the street is sandy and shallow when the tide is out so the water was warm enough to go in! The view from the upper balcony was priceless, we spent most of our time up there. I would (and will) recommend this property to everyone I know and I hope to return in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

About the owner: Thanks for taking the time to review our listing. This is our family vacation home and is the first year we have offered this as a rental after several years of renovations. We love the relaxed atmosphere at 'Pt. Bob', and enjoy playing games in the large yard and on the beach at low tide.

The home has received extensive renovations over the last several years and is 'city quality'. It is comfortably furnished and well stocked. The house sits on a 20,000 sq. ft lot and there is lots of grass for playing yard games. For visiting families, we offer many of those things you’d expect (kids games, booster seat, crib, baby monitor, beach toys, backyard swing, etc.). The home is very suitable either for families or up to three couples. If you have any questions about Point Roberts or the rental property specifically, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We have a no smoking and no pets policy.
