One bedroom cabin on Flander's Pond (540 sq. ft.). Near to Acadia National Park. Sleeps 4 comfortably with a queen bed and full size futon with partition for privacy. There are two fully screened porches on the cabin. Listen to the loons at night, take a canoe or kayak ride (all included!), swim, or just hang out on the dock and watch some of the awesome sunsets on the pond. All you need to bring are beach towels & food. We'll even supply the spices in the pantry!
Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are approximately 45 minutes away containing some of the best nature and bike trails in the world. Available for all seasons. It is with great regret that we leave this wonderful experience! We've spent the last four days hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, swimming and a great deal of just relaxing. Jay & Cheri's hospitality is so much more than we could have expected. They are so welcoming, so helpful and are just a joy to be around. We needed a place like this to come to for a vacation and we're already thinking about next time! It is so quiet around here. We've seen bald eagles, an otter, many other birds and of course, Jay & Cheri's little Gracie. She too welcomed us! I knew there would be one thing that I truly wouldn't like about this place... the fact we had to leave! We do love it here! May God bless you both.

It is always with a bit of sadness that we end our time in Maine. We have experienced a wonderful two weeks in this delightful cabin on Flander's Pond. It was the perfect place for us to escape the many noises of our everyday living and relax in Maine's quiet beauty. The cabin was perfect for the two of us. It provided everything needed for a relaxing stay and its location between Schoodic and Mount Desert Island is perfect for any lover of nature. If you awe at God's creation, you will love this place. I keep thinking of the words of St. Augustine, "Beauty ever ancient ever new". Thank you Cheri & Jay for providing a place for this Silent Beauty to be experienced sunrise to sunset to the delight of seeing the magnificent stars of Maine's sky. God is good.

Out trip to Maine was wonderful and we got the chance to do everything on our wish list - golfing, whale watching, exploring Acadia and gorging ourselves on huge amounts of seafood - Thanks again! After a long day of fun, the cabin was a comfortable place to return to. Both of you were terrific hosts and made us feel welcome and relaxed. Flander's Pond was great for canoeing & kayaking and just relaxing. Loved the entire week!

We could not imagine a more ideal location to spend the first few days of our marriage! This cabin is a beautiful blend of comfortable convenience and a rustic "tucked away" feel. We had a great week in our cozy lakeside cabin at Flanders Pond. The cabin was everything we hoped it would be and was furnished with everything we could have needed and more. We loved the kayaking and swimming from the dock as well as just kicking back and enjoying the beautiful views. We also liked the proximity to so much, like Schoodic Beach & Mountain, Schoodic Peninsula, Bar Harbor and Acadia.
