Thank you, as always, for letting us use this wonderful cabin. We have really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back next year. Keep in touch... Thanks

We had a lovely get-away in this cozy cabin on Flander's Pond. We heard the loons at night; enjoyed swimming & kayaking each day. Our boys spent hours in the pond. What a peaceful, tranquil place this is. Thank you.

We truly enjoyed this cozy cabin. Thanks for your help & instructions on the kayaks. It was great to get right up on the bald eagle on the island. Too bad I didn't have enough confidence to take the camera on that first kayak trip. The area was lovely. Good luck on your future endeavors.

Thank you so much. Had a very relaxing time. It's a beautiful state.

Thank you again for a wonderful stay. The weather was perfect with rain at night, sun in day. We had lots of fun canoeing & kayaking on the lake and even found and beached on the uninhabited island out to the far right. Jonathan was so excited when he caught a small mouth bass. Thank you Jay for all of your fishing tips to Jon & how to fillet & cook the fish. It was delicious! We visited Acadia, biked trails & sunned at Schoodic Point, watching the loons practice swimming in strong waves. But with this wonderful log cabin on the water, the lake & your hospitality - Acadia comes secondary to all of this.

We spent a wonderful week on Flander's Pond. Great to meet Jay & Cheri & Gracie. The only problem is there is so much to do in the area. Everything from Acadia to Quoddy State Park, that we couldn't spend more time in the pond. Not a big problem, but I didn't get the chance to spend an entire afternoon floating in the pond! We'll be back!

The cabin was a perfect location for a "home base" to explore the downeast Maine area. It was a great place to relax after long days of hiking and exploring. What an unexpected treat to be right on Flander's Pond and to be able to enjoy the sunsets and the peaceful water. We had never been to this area before, and this was an ideal mid-point to go from Schoodic to Bar Harbor, and all points in between. Thank you for your quiet and unobtrusive hospitality!

How absolutely perfect is your cozy getaway on Flander's Pond! All of the rave reviews are quickly proven once you arrive here: a roomy, clean cabin with wonderful accommodations and well thought out tiny touches; a peaceful, quiet location; easy access to the pond (lake??) and kayaking; friendly, charming hosts. Not to mention close proximity to Mt. Desert Island and the hidden gem... Schoodic! Right now our only questions is - what week could we reserve next year? We came from congested Connecticut to get away from noise, and your place is the perfect, peaceful oasis for us! Thank you for sharing this with so many!

Thank you so much for one of the most wonderful weeks we've ever spent! We can't say enough about your friendliness & hospitality - you go beyond being merely hosts & turn into instant friends. We feel so at home here. My husband & son have continued a cutthroat checkers tournament all week & we are constantly challenging each other with Trivial Pursuit questions. Out 11 yr old hasn't even complained about missing his cable TV - a miracle! The day we spent swimming & canoeing on the pond was unforgettable (even the sunburn!), followed by a leisurely cook-out here at the cabin. We were looking for a way to slow down & reconnect as a family and this peaceful oasis provided all that and more. Please, can we come back soon? All our best. PS - Your personal guidebook was so helpful. We tried several of your suggestions & found each one a treat.

We lucked out again! We had a good feeling about coming here, and we were right. Your hospitality and friendliness made our stay as much as the beautiful pond (lake?), or the mountain view. As you know we're getting married after 16 years together. If this was a preview of what's to come, life will be great!! Thanks for helping us restart life together. PS - The cabin was so well equipped and clean. Everything taken care of in such a thoughtful way. We really appreciate that! A rare quality these days.
