The bad first. We never got a contract, we had trouble getting in the first day, the air conditioner was not working (only needed 2 AA batteries for the thermostat), had to wear arm bands the whole time. Condo was not right on the beach (the resort was though) The cable was not working but a neighbor was kind enough to fix it. The good far outweighs the bad. The condo was very nice and well stocked. The pool was crisp and clear and about 1 minute away. There were lounging chairs on a deck overlooking the beach. A nice outdoor bar with entertainment was about 1/8 mile down the beach. Security was friendly and very helpful. the beach was clean and only a minute from the condo. We actually had a great time during our week and would definately go again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+.

I would have rated this property excellent except when we arrived, there was no toilet tissue or trash bags.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children.

The condo was great! It was very clean and updated. The decor was very nice. I highly recommend this particular condo to stay in at Bahia Mar. I've stayed in other condos in this same comlex, but this one is outstanding and definitely the best. The owner of this condo is very friendly and helpful. The Bahia Mar tower is under construction and we were told the complex is under new ownership. We had to wear wrist bands the whole time we were there and had to pay $5 for each band. But overall, it was worth it. Access to the beach and pool is terrific from this condo. No doubt we will stay in this condo again on our next trip to South Padre!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

The Condo was absolutely beautiful!! We had a great time. We enjoyed the beach, the pools,and the sunsets. Would definetly do it again!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

The beech and pool are in close walking distance. Pool has jacuzzi and overlooks the beach. New appliances in the kitchen and the condo is very clean and updated. There is a lot of security so you feel very safe.The resort has a playground for children and a tennis court. We really enjoyed our stay and want to go back next year to this condo.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

Why the Owner Chose Bahia Mar:
The New Bahia Mar is one of the largest properties on South Padre Island and it is located very close to the beach. You can no longer build properties this close to the beach. It has lots of palm trees and is very serene.
