Visited with my family of four for a week of relaxation, ocean, sun, and fun and this property delivered. We were quite pleased to arrive and find the kitchen stocked with everything (except food) even some spices and cooking oil. There's a grocery store and dollar store within walking distance to pick up food. There was even a laundry basket and laundry soap to use for the onsite laundry facilities (which take credit/debit cards, which is a bonus) There are two older TVs in the room, no widescreen if you're looking for that sort of thing. We weren't, but thought i'd point it out. There were a few games to play, some cards and even beach toys (buckets and shovels). My one complaint is lack of sitting space or some sort of table to gather with the family for a meal. There's a breakfast bar style area to sit, but you face a wall instead of each other. However, the room is packed to the brim with the murphy beds, so I don't know where a table would even fit. The owners have really done a great job making this a "home away from home". The condo is in an older resort which is showing it's age but is well maintained. It was not uncommon to see maintenance personnel touching up the paint or power washing certain spots. All the resort staff were friendly and helpful. The resort is a mix of owned condos (like this one) and rooms that the resort still maintains. If you read unfavorable reviews on a hotel review site, keep in mind that this room is not owned by the resort and the photos, descriptions and reviews here are more accurate than others you may read. One drawback to the resort is smoking is allowed on the pool-deck. We were here during a slow season, so it wasn't that bad. During a busy time it might be worse. The indoor pool is smoke free and heated (almost to hot-tub temperatures). The beach area is public access and cars are allowed to drive by and also park in a designated area. We never had a problem with this, but were here off-peak. It might get crazy during the busy seasons. Bottom line: This is a great place to visit. Before we even left the parking lot to go home we were talking about plans to return next year. I've already provided a link to this property to one friend and would not hesitate to recommend it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed in this condo Jan. 1 -8th, 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed. It is very clean, well stocked, nicely decorated and has a fabulous view. The owners were great to work with and the entire experience was a real joy. We will definitely return and will recommend it to our friends. My girlfriends and I stayed in condo 436 during Spring Break. We had a great time and loved that the condo had everything we needed to have a relaxing time. We LOVED the gorgeous view, and the beach was awesome. Renata was nothing but helpful to us throughout the whole booking process. I stayed in the condo just this month, and loved it! Not only was it comfortable, there were many things provided (blender, glasses, pillows etc.) view was great, and the people at the inn were so friendly. March 28 - April 4, 2009. Hawaiian Inn unit 436. A great vacation value!Mornings on the balcony reading and enjoying the beach view while the rest of the family "cycled" through the ocean waves, pool and hot tub! The kitchen in this unit was nicely provisioned for our home cooked meals and the room was comfortable for the 4 of us. Grocery stores, shopping and restaurants were convenient. "Location, Location, Location!" "One could not ask for a better location for an ocean front condo. The fourth floor view with the balcony was excellent. Also, the condo was clean and well stocked with anything one may need for a vacation stay along with nice decoration touches in the renovated interior. Every resort staff was very helpful and pleasant. The owner was easy to deal with and were upfront about the on-site construction work being done on the somewhat aged structure. We have stayed on the condo twice and are looking forward to another trip this August, The condo is beautiful, supplied with everything. It has a great view day and nite. We loved it so much that we will make it our annual vacation. This was my 5th stay at the Hawiian Inn. First time staying in 436. What a nice condo, PERFECT,furnished with just everything you could need for a great, relaxing vacation. We stayed in #436 two weeks in july 2007. The view is wonderful and the codo was clean and comfortable. The price is just perfect. They only thing we miss, is a table and chair to eat. We had a wonderful week in Daytona. The weather was great. The condo was all that and more than we expected. It had all the comforts of home just like other reviewers have said. The view was spectacular and we enjoyed watching the sunrise together every morning. Renata answered all of our phone calls and emails very efficiently and was very pleasant. We had a great time staying in Daytona. The unit was everything that was promised, and more. We were able to enjoy the Pepsi 400, rented 4-wheelers on the beach, found some great shells on our early morning walks, and we had a great view of the fireworks on the 4th. Our family of 5 stayed at Gene and Renata's Hawaiian Inn condo unit #436 in April of 2005. What a great place. The condo was very clean and nicely decerated. I loved the cloths line on the deck and the keyless entry was just the best nobody was asking me for keys all day you just put in a code and your in. Every thing you needed was there. The kids were excited that they could use the boogie boards in the closet your first aid kit came in very handy too!! Our family and friends that were in the Daytona area really enjoyed the DJ the Hawaiian Inn had every day. Kids loved the indoor pool wish they had a life guard. Oh I forgot to mention how great the 2 tv's were my kids could watch their show will my husband watched sports!!!! The tiki bar makes great drinks too. We stayed in Renata & Gene's condo #338 the week of February 5, 2005. Let me say they did a wondferful job of supplying everything you would need and then some.The view from the condo was every thing we had hoped for, you are right on the beach. Fulling asleep every night to the sounds of the waves was very relaxing. The Hawailan Inn was very nice except for some of their hallway rugs which are stained. All in all the price of the condo was well worth it. We found a really good place to eat called Catfish Anny but you better get there early.Did you find this review helpful? We returned to Chicago on Tuesday August 31st after surveying the effects of Hurricane Charley in the Daytona Area. I am happy to report very little damage in our unit. The unit above us apparently had a problem near their sliding glass door which caused a leak to our ceiling. The paint has peeled, it needs a little replastering, but overall very minimal. We have made arrangements for repairing and repainting the ceiling in that area after the hurricane season. Minimal damage to the resort----as they lost a sign from the front of the building and several units had windows that were blown out. We restocked, bought many new items, took pictures and surveyed the work that had not been completed during our April visit. The unit has been painted, tile installed, beds installed, island installed, light fixtures installed, bathroom vanity installed, new bathroom fixtures etc. We thought that everything came out beatifully. Every inch of space has been used and we felt that the unit gave us ample storage space and was perfect for a family or could accomodate 2 couples. We left the unit in perfect condiition. There is nothing like the view from the balcony to relax and enjoy and recharge. We met some new friends, visited with old friends, ran into several other owners and had a great time. We are praying for the safety of all of our old and new friends in Florida with Hurrican Francis scheduled to arrive only days and hours from now. I recently had reservations for this unit and was looking forward to the time in Daytona, but fact that two storms decided to hit the area ruined my plans. I contacted Renata about her cancelation policy, since we had waited until last minute to make our plans, I had visions of loosing my money, but Reneta had actually called me and left a message that she would be glad to refund my money before she had even read my e-mail. We actually rented two different condos at the Hawaiian Inn, and Renata's and Gene's was definitely much nicer. The bigger kitchen made cooking much easier, and the murphy beds were very comfortable to sleep on, and when folded up gave us so much more room. All the little special touches such as the nicer towels, the extra dishes and pans and cooking utensils, the couch, the nicer decor, all gave it a homey touch, so it didn't feel like a hotel. Plus, Renata was so much more attentive to us, from the initial scheduling, while we were theree, to the quick refund. We have stayed at the Hawaiian Inn several times before but we really enjoyed our stay at Renata & Gene's studio. It was very clean and decorated really nice. It didn't look like your average hotel room. There were plenty of extra towels and linens in the room and the extra touches that they did made our stay very comfortable. Enjoyed my recent stay at the Renata & Gene's studio at the Hawaiian Inn in Daytona Beach. The studio felt so much like home my 4-year-old son referred to it as our fake home all week. The ocean front balcony is very relaxing and the view is amazing. We enjoyed the on site pool and miniature golf. It was a very fun atmosphere. We stayed in the Unit for two weeks. It was wonderful. Renata and Gene have equipped it with everything and more that you could possibly need. We really loved the sound system. We loved the location of the unit. Direct ocean front. Even in 90% heat you could sit very comfortably on the balcony and enjoy the ocean breezes. The Hawaiian Inn is our favorite place to get away at the beach - we go there several times a year, but this is by FAR the nicest unit we have rented and we will definitely be back, unless we BUY our own!! Such a nice touch, to have quality, breakable things such as floral arrangements and beautiful dishes. It made us feel trusted! Most other rentals put cheap furniture and accessories. We hope that you like what we have done to an average Hawaiian Inn Studio. We added a new hurricane enclosure and mirrors to enhance the view and bring it inside to you. We added 2 Queen sized murphy beds and decorated in an upscale-casual style. We added an island to add storage for more usable kitchen items and make the kitchen area a better work space for someone that will be preparing meals. The Breakfast Bar allows best use of space for 4 to relax and eat a meal. New full sized top-of-the-line couch/futon is perfect for sitting and relaxing on. We have stocked the unit with better quality bedding-linens-cookware-stoneware. This is a studio---making this a great value for the vacationer! We were first renters of Unit 436 that was recently renovated by Renata and Gene. Absolutely loved everything! The best condo from all we've rented so far. Very clean, comfortable, has all you would imagine. Loved having Smoothy machine and grill as well as all you would need to cook and enjoy a meal. Beautiful beach and ocean view from the balcony, unbelievable sunrises. We were lucky to have found this condo! Definitely would recommend for rent and would consider for future come back.
