  After an extensive search my boyfriend and I decided to stay at this apartment during our 5 day stay in Barcelona [10 days total in Spain]. From the very beginning of booking the apartment, Judet and Olav were incredibly helpful and kind, answering our many e-mails with countless questions. When we arrived at the apartment building in Barcelona, we were warmly greeted and brought into the apartment to take a look around, receive the keys, etc. We were given helpful suggestions of things to do around the area and corresponding subway stations were circled on a map of the city for our convenience. The apartment is incredibly well located, just a few blocks off Las Ramblas. It is very quiet, but also very centrally located so it is easy to get to so many areas of the city just by walking. We enjoy walking a lot (as New Yorkers we are used to it) so we only used the subway to get to Park Guell and Sagrada Familia, but it was an easy walk to Museu Picasso, the Cathedral, Musica Catalan, El Born, MACBA, the beach, Pedrada and the Passeiga Gracia area. The famous Boqueria Market is only a few short blocks away, and it was wonderful to have the convenience to return home with a bag full of snacks (and a fridge to put them in!) The apartment itself is spacious with all of the amenities one could want. It was great to be able to do laundry halfway through our trip, or relax and stream music on our laptop. Though we didn’t try to place any video (Skype) calls, we were able to easily place calls on the laptop over VoIP and the provided Wifi was more than sufficient to have great call quality. I was particularly excited to find a real hairdryer, complete with diffuser attachments, available. I had been having trouble with the travel dryer with the converter I brought, and the hairdryer was a welcome treat! Overall the apartment was very comfortable and modern. The apartment is just as bright and beautiful as it appears in the photos online. Judit and Olav were beyond helpful every step of the way and we would absolutely recommend this to anyone planning a trip to Barcelona.

  My husband and I recently made a 17-day journey to Madrid and Barcelona. In Barcelona, we were so fortunate to stay in Judit and Olav’s second-floor apartment. Judit and Olav are amazing people – so friendly and so helpful! They are like friends to us now, after our wonderful experience in their apartment. We took the train from Madrid to Barcelona, and then took a quick taxi to the apartment, located behind the Opera about three blocks from the Ramblas. The apartment is located in a historic building on the one-block-long Calle Santa Margarida, just a few blocks from the Opera metro stop on the Ramblas. (Being so close to the metro is fabulous for getting around the city.) Since no cars are allowed on this small street, the taxi dropped us off on Carrer de la Unió and we walked about a half block to the apartment. Entering the building at Santa Margarida 8, the building is well lit and there is a flight of steps leading to the apartment. (There is no lift.) The listing description was completely accurate regarding the location, and the listing photos perfectly reflected the rental’s appearance and amenities. The studio apartment was perfect for the two of us, with one bedroom, bath, kitchen, living room, and eating area. The apartment was impeccably clean and very modern, and had all the amenities one would need for an extended stay. Since we like to have coffee in our room in the morning, it was great having the large coffee maker, and having a microwave, a washing machine, and super fast internet was also a real plus. Because of the apartment’s convenient location, it was so easy finding a grocery store, pharmacy, great restaurants, Barcelona's most famous Market La Boqueria, and more, right in the neighborhood. The apartment is within walking distance of the Old Town, the Picasso Museum, the Palau Güell, and the Palau de la Música Catalana — do not miss them! The apartment is also within walking distance to the beach (walk down the Ramblas and you are there!) We also found the Metro very easy to navigate for locations out of walking distance – do not miss Gaudi’s beautiful Park Güell and La Sagrada Familia! There is so much to see in beautiful Barcelona! We had a wonderful stay in Barcelona at Judit and Olav’s apartment. I highly recommend them as owners: they will help you in any way they can, going beyond the call of duty to provide extraordinary service to their guests. I would rate our experience a perfect 10!

• check in after 9pm: €30
• check in after 12pm: €50
• cleaning fee: €40 + tax

Cancellation policy:

1. Guests: Each flat was assigned a máximum number of residents that may not be exceded for any reason. NO MEETINGS in the apartment. In case that more guests are staying in the apartment tan paid for and stated in this contract and without prior notice to Apartment administrator tenants will be immediately removed from the facilities without means for refounded of the total amount paid including the security deposit. 2. You are expected to treat your accommodation and all equipments with care. If any damageis done to the accommodation or equipments, you must inform the contact immediately, so that repairs can be dealt with a soon as possible. 3. Parties: parties of any nature in the apartment and communal areas are strictly prohibited and will result in the immediate expulsion from the facilities without any refound of the total amount paid including the security deposit. Clients are committed to act with the outmost courtesy and respect towards neighbours and other apartment building residents. Please be considerate of noise, particularly in the evenings and at night. Loud noise and general acts od disrespect will not be tolerated. 4. Do not leave the garbage in the apartment and throw cigarrettes on the commond zone. Smoking is strictly forbidden in the apartment. 5. Complaints: In the event that a neighbour issues a complaint against the guests of a specified apartment for having acted with outward disrespect for the greater residential community, Apartment administrator reserves the right to expel the guests from the apartment immediately without means for refound of the total amount paid including the security deposit. 6. Cleaning: The cleaning fee includes a clean of towels and linens after departure. Clients are expected to leave the flat clean. Dishes, kitchen utensils and other apartment supplies should be cleaned and put away. Dirty areas must be swept. Garbage should be thrown in the garbage containers in the street. We will charge an additional 15 Euro for damaged towel and 25 euro for damaged sheet. Apartment administrator will charge an additional apartment cleaning fee if this condition is not met by the clients. 7. Liability and Damages: I (the customer) shall be liable for damages caused by me or any of my guests to the apartment or communal area.
